    I'm trying to create a new log file every hour with the following code running on a server. The first log file of the day is being created and written to fine, but no further log files that day get created. Any ideas what might be going wrong?     I have legacy system where all date fields are maintained in YMD format. Example: 20101123 this is date: 11/23/2010 I'm looking for most optimal way to convert from number to date field. In web.config, set this <setting name="DisableBrowserCaching" value="false"/> and create pipeline processor page.Response.Cache.SetExpires(DateTime.Now.AddSeconds(60)); page.Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.Public); but it did not work, the repose head stays no-cache. By the way, I add the pipeline in the renderLayout, anyone knows? thanks!

    I think I'm overlooking something simple here, I can't imagine this is impossible to do. I want to filter by a datetime attribute and then order the result by a ranking integer attribute. When I try to do this: query.filter("submitted >=" thisweek).order("ranking") I get the following: BadArgumentError: First ordering property must be the same as inequality filter property, if specified for this query; received ranking, expected submitted Huh?     Assuming there are a number of load-balanced web servers in a web farm, is it safe to use DateTime.Now in the application code for getting the system date/time or should we leave this responsibility to the database server? Would there be a chance that machine date/time settings on all servers in the webfarm are out of sync? If date/time will be the responsible of the DBMS, how will this strategy work if we have load-balanced replicated DBs?
