Last night I had a script go a bit crazy and create a bunch of directories between 3:00 and 3:09am. Is there a quick one liner that will hunt these down and remove them for me?
I have been reading page after page after page about the benefits of using YUM package installer and how NOBODY should built installs from source files (which again makes no sense to me) yet the repositories and source builders always package files in Tarball format, leaving a TON of work (which usually ends up going wrong) to the individual instead of formatting SRPMs for the end user.
Has the world gone mad? I feel like I am taking crazy pills!
Hi, I created a web application with asp.net 3.5 and ado.net entity framework WebForms 1, but have not yet succeeded in creating a memebrship and roles.
When I go on ASP.NET Configuration and click the Security Tab I get the following error: Keyword not supported. Parameter name: metadata
Someone has already created an application with these same features to help me understand where is the problem?
P.S.: I'm going crazy
Thanks to all
Lets assume that we have a vector like
x = -1:0.05:1;
ids = randperm(length(x));
x = x(ids(1:20));
I would like to calculate the maximum distance between the elements of x in some idiomatic way. It would be easy to just iterate over all possible combinations of x's elements but I feel like there could be a way to do it with Matlab's built-in functions in some crazy but idiomatic way. Any ideas?
Hello!

i know it sounds crazy but, i just want to ask if is a compiler support multi programming language? like Delphi could also support C/C++/C# etc? if there is, please let me know. or how?
I know that title sounds crazy but here is my situation.
After a certain user event I need to update a couple tables that are "unrelated" to what the user is currently doing. Currently this takes a couple seconds to execute and causes the user a certain amount of frustration. Is there a way to perform my update in a second process or in a manner that doesn't "freeze" the UI of my app while it is processing?
Thanks
This site drives me crazy! I'm a web developer. I understand technology, I understand OpenID, but I don't have a clue how to login to this site with the username I created whilst asking another question unless I ask yet another question?
Sure, this is a techie site but if I can't work out how to log in then what hope is OpenID to the rest of the non technical world?
I have a direct3d project that uses D3DXCreateTextureFromFile() to load some images. This function takes a LPCWSTR for the path to file. I want to load a series of textures that are numbered consecutively (ie. MyImage0001.jpg, MyImage0002.jpg, etc) But c++'s crazy strings confuse me.
How do i:
for(int i=0; i < 3;i++)
{
//How do I convert i into a string path i can use with D3DXCreateTextureFromFile?
}
I'm looking for some personal cloud storage options. My biggest concern about moving to a hosted storage solution is the long-term viability of the provider. Has anyone used a cloud service that you're crazy about? I'm a Mac user, so I need to have something that will work on the Mac OS and ideally the iPhone as well.
At work, we are using ASP.net 2.0 and VSS. VSS is a beast, we are continually having issues with people checking out files and there is no branching - makes it crazy. I know SVN/GIT is mainly used by open source developers, are there any downsides to ASP.NET developers using it? I have been pushing for SVN internally, but am thinking GIT might also be a great option. Our team is spread across 3 continents.
This problem is driving me crazy... Place N bishops on NxN board in a way, where all squares would be occupied or attacked with at least one of them.
Could anyone help me out?
Ok, I guess I got crazy, but really. How phpmyadmin works? Does it have his own phpmyadmin or what? And how php works? Why writing echo 'hello'; it returns hello in the browser? I am really interested on how these things really works, maybe you know any books or smth to figure it out?
Thank you.
I was thinking about creating making AIM pluggin that checks pandora one (desktop) or pandora website periodically to see what is currently playing and update a user's status. I suppose the main question is there a clever way to access a "public" variable from some open Adobe Air process?
I KNOW this sounds like some crazy security flaw, but it may also be a feature. I am pretty sure javascript can potentially handle it.
Thanks!
I have installed XAMPP on my computer which is Windows 8 pro. I use to work with Windows 7
every time I run the index.php file on Windows 8 it shows the code on the browser IE10.
Here is what I have done:
I have named the file correctly: index.php
I have installed the server and saved the files inside c:/xampp/htdocs/PHP/
I have used to open and close all PHP tags
and everything else seems working fine, like, PHPMyAdmin, and the Ini file
I don't know whats wrong and it is driving me crazy ...
Farris
I must have done something, but am going crazy trying to find my mistake.
After my last upload now all my url's are pointing to localhost:3000 instead of the site.
It was working before. :(
Still trying to get my problems with page loaders firing like crazy in JSF
From this link: http://www.javabeat.net/tips/122-jsf-best-practices.html
It appears that if I put a that it will fire once when entering the page.
However, it fires like 4 times when LEAVING the page, kind of defeats the point. Any ideas?
I was asked this crazy question.
I was out of my wits.
Can a method in base class which is declared as virtual be called using the base class pointer which is pointing to a derived class object?
Is this possible?
I realize this sounds a little crazy, but I'm working on a project for which I need a server to run user-provided Ruby code and return the result.
I'm looking to prevent something like this:
system("rm -rf /")
eval("something_evil")
# etc...
I'm sure there must be some reasonably safe way to do this, as it already exists at places like tryruby.org. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
I am a template designer and I want to create one wordpress with all generic posts, but I don't want to have to keep logging in and copy & pasteing the same wordpress posts everytime. Can I point multiple WP installs to one database? A harder way would be export a master db and importing it to each install. Before I go crazy and try to hack something together, does anyone have any advise?
-Thanks in advance.
My app has a thread that does some time consuming job for more than a minute and the app consumes around 6.8MB of memory. I receive a memory warning after sometime and then it gets killed. There is nothing that I can release, and I am using not even 7MB of memory...driving me crazy...any advice please?
How do I stop VS 2010 (RC) from autocompleting html helpers with new object { ... } when I just want to pass in an anonymous type? Backspacing is driving me crazy.
e.g., VS wants:
<%=Html.ActionLink("Register", "Register", new object { controller = "Account" }) %>
I know the helper is declared expecting object, which is why it does this, but can I change this behavior just for mvc helpers?
I have about had it with this tool, I check the save password box at the login dialogue but it just doesn't work. Sometimes it will for a few days, and then the password will just be gone. Nearly every time I load this thing up I have to track down the password again and type it in. Is there some password rule in the database that would be causing this? This is driving me absolutely crazy.
I hear all this stuff about crazy ways to build iPhone apps using Ruby or C# under .NET or the like. Even stuff about developing apps on Windows using Java, or auto-generated apps using Flash CS5 or something.
Now, I've never really spent any time at all investigating these claims—I just brushed them off as clumsy or cumbersome or down-right claptrap—but I'm a proud Objective-C programmer who's perhaps a little worried as to whether there's any truth in all of this?
I want to generate a PDF of user-submitted text using LaTeX. To handle crazy user input, I first thought about using the verbatim package, but of course it doesn't break up too long lines. Is there some package that works similar to verbatim (i.e., accept any input) but formats the text nicely?
