• SOAP UI Pro vs Fitnesse, has anybody used SOAP UI Pro?

  We are using Fitnesse for subsystem testing i.e. WCF & RESTful services. Now as writing Fitnesse test requires lot of effort, we are thinking of using SOAP UI Pro which gives this sort of facility. We are not 100% sure how much this is useful? Can anyone give suggestion of using SOAP UI against Fitnesse or if somebody has Pros & Cons regarding either of the thing ??

• Apple actualise la gamme MacBook Pro

  Apple a renouvelé sa gamme de MacBook Pro. Ce qu'il faut retenir : Le MacBook Pro 13" gagne encore en autonomie, pouvant atteindre jusqu'à 10 heures. Il possède un processeur graphique NVidia 320M inconnu au catalogue NVidia. Il semblerait que ce soit un processeur graphique fait spécialement par NVidia à la demande d'Apple. Les MacBook Pro 15" et 17" accueille les nouveaux (peut on encore dire nouveaux ?) processeurs Intel Core i5 et i7. Du coup, ils embarquent également le processeur graphique Intel HD qui ne vaut rien par rapport au processeur Nvidia qui équipait la génération précédente. Mais elle est secondée par une carte NVidia GT330M, présentée comme étant 2 fois plus puissante que la NVidia 320M. C'est surtout le fait qu'il ne faille plus rien faire pour basculer d'une carte graphique à l'autre. Et ça, c'est vraiment bien. Apple propose également, en option, une dalle de 1680*1050 sur le 15". • Does the DisplayPort on the Dell UltraSharp U2311H Monitor work with a MacBook Pro?

  I'm thinking of getting the Dell UltraSharp U2311H monitor which apparently comes with a DisplayPort. (I used the word "apparently" because I find DisplayPort support a little bit too good to be true, coming from Dell. But great news nonetheless if it's really true) I plan to connect it to a Mac Book Pro (2010) via a mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable. Has anyone tried this setup? Does it work? Thanks.

  Possible Duplicate: Windows XP and RAM 3.5GB+ Installed RAM : 4 GB but 2.96GB Usable......why? I have a Macbook Pro with 4GB of installed RAM. I have installed Windows 7 on it which shows the usable memory as 2.74GB. Why is this? Don't tell me the 32 bit story; I program for a living.   OK this is bizarre. But basically, what happens is on my MacBook (latest model) whenever I 'flip' a Dashboard Widget I hear a little noise for the duration of the flip: like a tiny continuous squeak noise. It's quite strange. However, it only ever happens when the MagSafe cable is plugged in. WHY?! :'( The noise appears to me emitted from the MagSafe area itself, but, there's not any other CoreAnimation or Quartzey bits that cause this to happen, it only happens with Dashboard widgets... The noise is very quiet and you can only hear it in a silent room. Edit: Running the latest Snow Leopard.

• Why ping another innet machine from MacBook get netgate's ip address?

  I have three machine in my home network connected by a wireless router. One is server installed linux at 192.168.1.1, another is Thinkpad with MS Windows XP at 192.168.1.2, last one is MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.3 at 192.168.1.3. When I ping the Linux Server from Thinkpad (MS Windows XP) I can get the correct ip address, but when I ping it from Mac I get the global address of my router, like 61.135.181.175. Could you tell me why this happen? And how do I get same ping result on Mac and Windows. Thanks

• MacBook says to replace battery. Should I?

  Hi! My MacBook says that battery is not charging, and the battery is completely empty (in fact, pressing the button on the battery illuminates no LEDs). If I plug the power adapter off the mac shuts off immediately. I tried with a spare adapter, and it won't charge it. System information says it has 380 cycles. The battery is 2.5 years old. System profiler says the battery has 0 mAh of capacity, and that it should be replaced. Should I just buy a new battery, or should I bring it to an apple point, and leave it there? They can take a look at it (it's on AppleCare), they told me that they will repair it is there is anything wrong with the charging circuit, but they won't give me a new battery. They will keep the laptop for 10 working days at least... I hate when this happens :P

I already have HDMI cables run to the basement where I have a cable box. Is there something I could you to connect the MBP video and audio to HDMI so I only need the one cable to the TV? I'm looking for a quality picture but I don't want to spend a ton of $. I've googled a bit, but I'm looking for some recommendations.

• My Macbook Pro wifi intermittently won't turn on sometimes after sleep, does anyone know how to solve this?

  Hello, My current-generation MacBook Pro 15" (10.6.5) intermittently has problems turning the wifi (airport) on. The usual symptom happens when I: Sleep the machine Open from sleep Wifi is off (the airport signal is blank) I click on airport icon-Turn Airport On, but nothing happens. I googled around a bit and found one recommended solution where I delete the "automatic" location and create a new one and enable the wifi, or I delete the "AirPort" from the location and add it back, but neither of these resolve the problem. I also called AppleCare and they had me delete /Library/SystemConfiguration and restart, but that hasn't solved the problem. I have to reboot, which is very painful. Does anyone have any idea of how to solve this?

Two Diamond BVU195 HD USB Display Adapters (DVI and VGA with included DVI to VGA adapter) to plug into the USB port Two Dell ST2310 monitors One external USB hub so I don't use up both of my USB ports Will this work? I've read some people say it does and some people say it doesn't, but I don't know enough to say either way. • Can I run my MacBook in clamshell mode without being connected to power?

  Hi, At home, I run my MacBook in clamshell mode (closed lid, external display). This works fine when you're connected to the power adapter, but it doesn't work when running on battery. That's how it's supposed to be and Apple has some kb entry on the issue. But it's also lame. You can prevent the machine from sleeping when closed by running InsomniaX, but then it'll assume the builtin display is still active, so you end up with a two-display setup when you really only want the external. This is obviously less than ideal. So, is there any work around, hack, utility, black magic that I can use to make it run in clamshell mode while strictly on battery power? Also, bonus points for a solution that makes the AC status not affect the machine state at all. (Like, you know, it does normally, when not in clamshell.)
