• Unable to remove package from Delphi 2005

  I needed to reinstall a package, DrRX.bpl. I removed it from the package list, and trying to install a newer version of the same package. I've replaced the old component's dir with the new one. When I open the new DrRX.bpl and click install, I get the error "Package C:\Program Files\Borland\BDS\3.0\components\rx work\output\DrRx.bpl cannot be installed because another package with the same basename is already loaded (DrRx.bpl)" I cannot find any reference to DrRX in my package list, DrRX does not appear in the Tool Palette. How do I locate where Delphi thinks this is installed, and remove it, so I can reinstall the package?

If a class has no modifier (the default, also known as package-private), it is visible only within its own package. This is a clear statement. But this information interfere with my understanding of importing of packages (which easily can be wrong). I thought that importing a package I make classes from the imported package visible to the importing class. So, how does it work? Are public classes visible to all classes everywhere under condition that the package containing the public class is imported? Or there is not such a condition? What about the package-private classes? They are invisible no mater if the containing package was imported or not?   I faced an issue recently when tried to install ffmpeg on my Ubuntu computer. I am running Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit, all latest updates are installed and system runs perfectly, however i feel need in recording my desktop and have read many articles that ffmpeg is one of the best recording tools for it (besides providing packages for video) So I tried to run sudo apt-get install ffmpeg However i wasn't able to do this because packages have unmet dependencies.   I'm using Flash Builder 4 to build my AIR application. For a certain reason, I need to declare my package name in camelcase, and class names in lowercase: //test.as package Core { public class test { } } The folder structure is like this (the dir 'Core' matches the package name): src/ Core/ test.as However, Flash Builder shows error and it doesn't compile at all, only when I put the package name as 'core' then it compiles. Does AS3 syntax allow uppercase letters in package name? Or just because Flash Builder implicitly disallows this?

I can run the package fine by connecting to Integration Services in SSMS and right clicking on it and choosing "Run Package" However, if I schedule the package, it fails. It tells me to check the logs for information on why, but there is nothing in there... Any ideas? (this is my first SSIS package by the way)

• Installing skype will not work - skype-bin not installable, and 'held broken packages'

  So, I am trying to install skype through apt-get, but after running into this problem multiple times, and trying to find a solution, it still doesn't work... I tried all the answers here: Installing Skype on 12.04 64 bit causes errors, but I still get the error. (my problem is exactly the same as that one, too) I even went and edited the package status thing manually, and removed all references to 'skype' or 'skype-bin'. I still get the problem... I'm running ubuntu 12.10, as a dual-boot with windows 7. It's a 64-bit computer.

• Terminal Errors/Package Erros

  After running some updates a week ago or so, I've noticed that after any installations via the Ubuntu Software Center or any installed in the GUI have given an error message stating that there was a package error. Also any installations done through the terminal have given the E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) message at the end of each install. Oddly, the software is still installed and seems to function properly. Is there any way to get rid of this? I've tried to run apt-get autoclean as recommended on another site, but this doesn't seem to work. I'm fairly new to Linux/Ubuntu, just FYI.

  I am currently unable to install any packages. I receive the following error: dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting: too-long line or missing newline in `/var/lib/dpkg/diversions I have tried various approaches: sudo dpkg --configure -a sudo apt-get clean sudo dpkg-divert --list sudo apt-get check sudo apt-get install -f etc. but all to no avail. Either the output was apparently normal or the error above was thrown. I'm stumped as to how to proceed and would appreciate any assistance. If any further info is required just ask. None of the advice in that very generic answer about dependencies helps. Explicitly: sudo apt-get clean sudo apt-get autoclean sudo apt-get update all have no not effect. While sudo apt-get -f install sudo dpkg --configure -a sudo apt-get -u dist-upgrade sudo apt-get -o Debug::pkgProblemResolver=yes dist-upgrade all give some form of the error message above.

• Can't upgrade Firefox

  When I first got Ubuntu and got used to it, I decided to install lots of packages, and I overwhelmed the update manager. I had to interrupt it, because the download time was crazy long. That was 2 years ago. I haven't been able to upgrade anything since then. But now, some things I need will not work in my 2-year-old version of Firefox. I want to cancel all of the package installations that I started, and was not able to finish, and I need to upgrade Firefox. What should I do?
