  • sp_executesql with 'IN' statement

    - by user300992
    I am trying to use sp_executesql to prevent SQL injection in SQL 2005, I have a simple query like this: SELECT * from table WHERE RegionCode in ('X101', 'B202') However, when I use sp_executesql to execute the following, it doesn't return anything. Set @Cmd = N'SELECT * FROM table WHERE RegionCode in (@P1)' SET @ParamDefinition = N'@P1 varchar(100)'; DECLARE @Code as nvarchar(100); SET @Code = 'X101,B202' EXECUTE sp_executesql @Cmd, @ParamDefinition, @P1 = @Code The is what I have tested: SET @Code = 'X101' <-- This works, it returns a single region SET @Code = 'X101,B202' <--- Returns nothing SET @Code = '''X101'',''B202''' <-- Returns nothing Please help.... what did I do wrong?

  • CoreData update problems

    - by kpower
    My app makes updates in background thread then saves context changes. And in main context there is a table view that works with NSFetchedResultsController. For some time updates work correctly, but then exception is thrown. To check this I've added NSLog(@"%@", [self.controller fetchedObjects]); to -controllerDidChangeContent:. Here is what I got: "<PRBattle: 0x6d30530> (entity: PRBattle; id: 0x6d319d0 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PRBattle/p2> ; data: {\n battleId = \"-1\";\n finishedAt = \"2012-11-06 11:37:36 +0000\";\n opponent = \"0x6d2f730 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PROpponent/p1>\";\n opponentScore = nil;\n score = nil;\n status = 4;\n})", "<PRBattle: 0x6d306f0> (entity: PRBattle; id: 0x6d319f0 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PRBattle/p1> ; data: {\n battleId = \"-1\";\n finishedAt = \"2012-11-06 11:37:36 +0000\";\n opponent = \"0x6d2ddb0 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PROpponent/p3>\";\n opponentScore = nil;\n score = nil;\n status = 4;\n})", "<PRBattle: 0x6d30830> (entity: PRBattle; id: 0x6d31650 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PRBattle/p11> ; data: <fault>)", "<PRBattle: 0x6d306b0> (entity: PRBattle; id: 0x6d319e0 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PRBattle/p5> ; data: {\n battleId = 325;\n finishedAt = nil;\n opponent = \"0x6d2f730 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PROpponent/p1>\";\n opponentScore = 91;\n score = 59;\n status = 3;\n})", "<PRBattle: 0x6d30730> (entity: PRBattle; id: 0x6d31a00 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PRBattle/p6> ; data: {\n battleId = 323;\n finishedAt = nil;\n opponent = \"0x6d2ddb0 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PROpponent/p3>\";\n opponentScore = 0;\n score = 0;\n status = 3;\n})", "<PRBattle: 0x6d307b0> (entity: PRBattle; id: 0x6d31630 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PRBattle/p9> ; data: {\n battleId = 370;\n finishedAt = \"2012-11-06 14:24:14 +0000\";\n opponent = \"0x79a8e90 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PROpponent/p2>\";\n opponentScore = 180;\n score = 180;\n status = 4;\n})", "<PRBattle: 0x6d307f0> (entity: PRBattle; id: 0x6d31640 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PRBattle/p10> ; data: {\n battleId = 309;\n finishedAt = \"2012-11-02 01:19:27 +0000\";\n opponent = \"0x79a8e90 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PROpponent/p2>\";\n opponentScore = 120;\n score = 240;\n status = 4;\n})", "<PRBattle: 0x6d30770> (entity: PRBattle; id: 0x6d31620 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PRBattle/p7> ; data: {\n battleId = 315;\n finishedAt = \"2012-11-02 02:26:24 +0000\";\n opponent = \"0x79a8e90 <x-coredata://882BD521-90CD-4682-B19A-000A4976E471/PROpponent/p2>\";\n opponentScore = 119;\n score = 179;\n status = 4;\n})" ) Faulted object (0xe972610) here causes crash.

  • what does AngleVectors method in quake 3 source code does

    - by kypronite
    I just downloaded quake 3 for learning purposes. I know some of some linear algebra(basic vector math ie: dot,cross product). However I can't decipher what below method does, I know what is yaw,pitch and roll. But I can't connect these with vector. Worse, I'm not sure this fall under what math 'category', so I don't really know how to google. Hence the question here. Anyone? void AngleVectors( const vec3_t angles, vec3_t forward, vec3_t right, vec3_t up) { float angle; static float sr, sp, sy, cr, cp, cy; // static to help MS compiler fp bugs angle = angles[YAW] * (M_PI*2 / 360); sy = sin(angle); cy = cos(angle); angle = angles[PITCH] * (M_PI*2 / 360); sp = sin(angle); cp = cos(angle); angle = angles[ROLL] * (M_PI*2 / 360); sr = sin(angle); cr = cos(angle); if (forward) { forward[0] = cp*cy; forward[1] = cp*sy; forward[2] = -sp; } if (right) { right[0] = (-1*sr*sp*cy+-1*cr*-sy); right[1] = (-1*sr*sp*sy+-1*cr*cy); right[2] = -1*sr*cp; } if (up) { up[0] = (cr*sp*cy+-sr*-sy); up[1] = (cr*sp*sy+-sr*cy); up[2] = cr*cp; } } ddddd

  • How to experience gradual improvement of knowledge while a newbie does .NET maintenance programming?

    - by amir
I started my career as a software developer about 6 months ago. This is my first job, and I am the only developer in this company. I gained .NET knowledge by self study and also by doing some university projects. Our systems have old foundations based on an earlier version of .NET, and I'm starting to feel that I am not improving since I am a maintenance programmer here. Everything is old and my manager is not really taking any chances on gradually improving the software. What is your opinion? What should I do? I am newbie and also work hard to find my way through. There is no other developer, not even a senior one to help me here. I need your advice on my situation. And one last thing, can I get a new job with doing maintenance programming? I mean don't managers say that you do not have the experience of developing a new software from scratch? I feel redundant, what do I do?

  • How to make VB to execute my SQL SP with parameters?

    - by fema
Hi, I have a database in MS SQL Server 2008, I have Stored Procedures. One of them does an INSERT with parameters. It works in Server Management Studio. Now I'd like to make a button in Visual Basic 2008 that executes this SP. I have made a DataSet, it contains my 3 SP's, I can easily use 2 of them, because they return data, but the one I'm having trouble with doesn't. Could anyone please tell me how to make VB to execute it? (The command should look like this: "EXECUTE SP2 a, b, c, d".) Thanks in advance

  • How do you force Outlook 2007 to re-index it's seach on Windows XP SP 3?

    - by Aaron K
So I have a Windows XP SP 3 machine which is running Outlook 2007. When I search in Outlook for an email that exists using a basic keyword, like say "MySQL", I get no results. However, Outlook gives me the following message: Search results may be incomplete because items are still being indexed. Click here for more details. When I click, I get the following: Outlook is currently indexing your items. Search results may be incomplete because items are still being indexed. 8783 items remaining in "Mailbox - USER" 8812 items remaining across all open mailboxes. The thing is, these are the numbers it has been reporting for several days, and Outlook is open for 8 hours a day. It does not seem like the index is working. As best I can tell, the index seemed to stop about 3 weeks ago. How can I force Outlook 2007 to re-index everything and start working properly again?

  • How to display Sharepoint Data in a Windows Forms Application

    - by Michael M. Bangoy
In this post I'm going to demonstrate how to retrieve Sharepoint data and display it on a Windows Forms Application. 1. Open Visual Studio 2010 and create a new Project. 2. In the project template select Windows Forms Application. 3. In order to communicate with Sharepoint from a Windows Forms Application we need to add the 2 Sharepoint Client DLL located in c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\ISAPI. 4. Select the Microsoft.Sharepoint.Client.dll and Microsoft.Sharepoint.Client.Runtime.dll. (Your solution should look like the one below) 5. Open the Form1 in design view and from the Toolbox menu Add a Button, TextBox, Label and DataGridView on the form. 6. Next double click on the Load Button, this will open the code view of the form. Add Using statement to reference the Sharepoint Client Library then create two method for the Load Site Title and LoadList. See below:   using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.ComponentModel; using System.Data; using System.Drawing; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.Security; using System.Windows.Forms; using SP = Microsoft.SharePoint.Client;   namespace ClientObjectModel {     public partial class Form1 : Form     {         // url of the Sharepoint site         const string _context = "theurlofthesharepointsite";         public Form1()         {             InitializeComponent();         }         private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)         {                    }         private void getsitetitle()         {             SP.ClientContext context = new SP.ClientContext(_context);             SP.Web _site = context.Web;             context.Load(_site);             context.ExecuteQuery();             txttitle.Text = _site.Title;             context.Dispose();         }                 private void loadlist()         {             using (SP.ClientContext _clientcontext = new SP.ClientContext(_context))             {                 SP.Web _web = _clientcontext.Web;                 SP.ListCollection _lists = _clientcontext.Web.Lists;                 _clientcontext.Load(_lists);                 _clientcontext.ExecuteQuery();                 DataTable dt = new DataTable();                 DataColumn column;                 DataRow row;                 column = new DataColumn();                 column.DataType = Type.GetType("System.String");                 column.ColumnName = "List Title";                 dt.Columns.Add(column);                 foreach (SP.List listitem in _lists)                 {                     row = dt.NewRow();                     row["List Title"] = listitem.Title;                     dt.Rows.Add(row);                 }                 dataGridView1.DataSource = dt;             }                   }       private void cmdload_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)         {             getsitetitle();             loadlist();          }     } } 7. That’s it. Hit F5 to run the application then click the Load Button. Your screen should like the one below. Hope this helps.

  • How to retrieve Sharepoint data from a Windows Forms Application.

    - by Michael M. Bangoy
In this demo I'm going to demonstrate how to retrieve Sharepoint data and display it on a Windows Forms Application. That's it we're ready to write our codes. Note: In this example I've added to controls on the form, the controls are Button, TextBox, Label and DataGridView. using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.ComponentModel; using System.Data; using System.Data.Objects; using System.Drawing; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.Security; using System.Windows.Forms; using SP = Microsoft.SharePoint.Client; namespace ClientObjectModel { public partial class Form1 : Form { // declare string url of the Sharepoint site string _context = "theurlofyoursharepointsite"; public Form1() { InitializeComponent(); } private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { } private void getsitetitle() {    SP.ClientContext context = new SP.ClientContext(_context);    SP.Web _site = context.Web;    context.Load(_site);    context.ExecuteQuery();    txttitle.Text = _site.Title;    context.Dispose(); } private void loadlist() { using (SP.ClientContext _clientcontext = new SP.ClientContext(_context)) {    SP.Web _web = _clientcontext.Web;    SP.ListCollection _lists = _clientcontext.Web.Lists;    _clientcontext.Load(_lists);    _clientcontext.ExecuteQuery();    DataTable dt = new DataTable();    DataColumn column;    DataRow row;    column = new DataColumn();    column.DataType = Type.GetType("System.String");    column.ColumnName = "List Title";    dt.Columns.Add(column);    foreach (SP.List listitem in _lists)    {       row = dt.NewRow();       row["List Title"] = listitem.Title;       dt.Rows.Add(row);    }       dataGridView1.DataSource = dt;    } private void cmdload_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { getsitetitle(); loadlist(); } } That's it. Running the application and clicking the Load Button will retrieve the Title of the Sharepoint site and display it on the TextBox and also it will retrieve ALL of the Sharepoint List on that site and populate the DataGridView with the List Title. Hope this helps. Thank you.

  • Which order would you teach programming languages in, when teaching a newbie?

    - by blueberryfields
If you had to design a study program, with a breadth-of-programming-languages requirement, which stated that the student should be exposed to all major concepts and methodologies that can be taught through (at the minimum) 6 programming languages, which programming languages would you choose to teach, and in which order? Breadth-of-programming-languages is based on programming language and theoretical concepts.

  • What job is better for a newbie, one that requires you to create a new program frequently, or something like software maintenance?

    - by MobileDev123
One of my friends has just completed his college degree and is ready to join the programmers' world. Today he has two offers, one with new projects every time, and another with software maintenance. The remaining factors are not important to him, what he wants to know is which option is better? My experience goes with second option because my first job was the maintenance one and I could learn how my fellow programmers made mistakes while coding . But I soon switched to a new job which required me to create new project every time. I enjoyed both but I must admit that my first job has given me a more advantage today. But it's not necessary that my experience can give benefit to him. But I want to know what is general approach? If I have to give him final verdict on these two, what should I tell him? Edit Everybody deserves one up vote here, I am really learning a lot from you guys.

  • Which DB should I use for my newbie program?

    - by knijo
I'm really new to programming, and I need some advice. I'm currently working on a very simple program to maintain a list of users at a company, as well as their clock in and clock out info. I would like to make this application easy to distribute (on a cd probably), and I'm looking for advice on which database to use for storing my data. My application is implemented using java and swing. A friend recommended MySQL, but I don't want to go installing the db server on every computer the application is installed on. Another friend recommended Access. Any tips would be greatly appreciated

  • Should a complete newbie use mongoose js? [on hold]

    - by Squirrl
I drank from the koolaid and jumped aboard the node.js bandwagon even though I barely know javascript. That said, I have the opportunity to work with one of 2 templates. One is just node, express and mongodb, and the second includes mongoose and jade with the other 3 and is easier for me to understand. Yet I'm concerned that if I begin with mongoose, I'll be too high level and miss some of the fundamentals. Is my concern warranted? Should I work my way up or should I just start playing with all the toys from day one?

My Ubuntu is 12.04. I have just started learning Linux and Ubuntu in particular. To remember commands quicker, I'd like to decline GUI. But there are some problems. I don't know where installed programs are to launch them. For example, I have a pdf file. I know that there is a program to view such files. Should it be the case of GUI, I would just click on the pdf-file, and have a look that I use Document Viewer 3.4.0. Then I would like to launch Firefox Web Browser. Even if I know it is installed, how to find the file to be launched using just CLI is a mystery to me. Could you suggest me anything.

  • Where might a newbie programmer begin with game development? [closed]

    - by Ginnjii
I just started picking up programming and I'd love to learn the ins and outs of game development so if anyone could tell me where to begin I'd really appreciate it alot. I'm interested in flash games in particular for now. I have googled it up and such but I'm honestly lost what with so much related to the subject so a pointer in the right direction would be immensely helpful. As such any site or resource for the subject would be great.

  • Cinnamon is broken after upgrade to 13.10

    - by user2306488
I see reports of people with Unity broken after upgrading to 13.10. In my case Unity works fine but cinnamon is broken. It opens the startup applications but no window manager, no menus and the keyboad shortcuts won't work. As a consequence I can't even log out or shut down cleanly. The logs say: Oct 19 10:32:42 Aveline colord: Profile added: icc-1727cc5030c477b20ad75593e757248d Oct 19 10:32:43 Aveline gnome-session[9157]: WARNING: App 'cinnamon.desktop' exited with code 1 Oct 19 10:32:43 Aveline gnome-session[9157]: WARNING: App 'cinnamon.desktop' respawning too quickly Oct 19 10:32:43 Aveline gnome-session[9157]: CRITICAL: We failed, but the fail whale is dead. • Can someone explain how OpenXML works(in this SP)?

    - by chobo2
Hi I am looking at this tutorial and it confuses me as I don't get the SP CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[spTEST_InsertXMLTEST_TEST](@UpdatedProdData nText) AS DECLARE @hDoc int exec sp_xml_preparedocument @hDoc OUTPUT,@UpdatedProdData INSERT INTO TBL_TEST_TEST(NAME) SELECT XMLProdTable.NAME FROM OPENXML(@hDoc, 'ArrayOfTBL_TEST_TEST/TBL_TEST_TEST', 2) WITH ( ID Int, NAME varchar(100) ) XMLProdTable EXEC sp_xml_removedocument @hDoc First I am using SQL 2005 and do I need to install something on the server to get OPENXML to work? Next I don't get what these statements do // not sure what @hDoc is for and why it is an int DECLARE @hDoc int // don't get what this is and where the output is. exec sp_xml_preparedocument @hDoc OUTPUT,@UpdatedProdData // don't get why it is "XMLProdTable" and if it always has to be like this SELECT XMLProdTable.NAME // pretty muct don't get anything what is happening after OPENXML FROM OPENXML(@hDoc, 'ArrayOfTBL_TEST_TEST/TBL_TEST_TEST', 2) WITH ( ID Int, NAME varchar(100) ) XMLProdTable // Don't know what this is really executing EXEC sp_xml_removedocument @hDoc Thanks

  • SQL Compact Edition 3.5 SP 1 - LockTimeOutException - how to debug?

    - by Bob King
Intermittently in our app, we encounter LockTimeoutExceptions being throw from SQL CE. We've recently upgraded to 3.5 SP 1, and a number of them seem to have gone away, but we still do see them occasionally. I'm certain it's a bug in our code (which is multi-threaded) but I haven't been able to pin it down precisely. Does anyone have any good techniques for debugging this problem? The exceptions log like this (there's never a stack trace for these exceptions): SQL Server Compact timed out waiting for a lock. The default lock time is 2000ms for devices and 5000ms for desktops. The default lock timeout can be increased in the connection string using the ssce: default lock timeout property. [ Session id = 6,Thread id = 7856,Process id = 10116,Table name = Product,Conflict type = s lock (x blocks),Resource = DDL ] Our database is read-heavy, but does seldom writes, and I think I've got everything protected where it needs to be. EDIT: SQL CE already automatically uses NOLOCK http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms172398(sql.90).aspx

  • SubSonic 2.x now supports TVP's - SqlDbType.Structure / DataTables for SQL Server 2008

    - by ElHaix
For those interested, I have now modified the SubSonic 2.x code to recognize and support DataTable parameter types. You can read more about SQL Server 2008 features here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/9/0/4906f81b-eb1a-49c3-bb05-ff3bcbb5d5ae/SQL%20SERVER%202008-RDBMS/T-SQL%20Enhancements%20with%20SQL%20Server%202008%20-%20Praveen%20Srivatsav.pdf What this enhancement will now allow you to do is to create a partial StoredProcedures.cs class, with a method that overrides the stored procedure wrapper method. A bit about good form: My DAL has no direct table access, and my DB only has execute permissions for that user to my sprocs. As such, SubSonic only generates the AllStructs and StoredProcedures classes. The SPROC: ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo].[testInsertToTestTVP] @UserDetails TestTVP READONLY, @Result INT OUT AS BEGIN SET NOCOUNT ON; SET @Result = -1 --SET IDENTITY_INSERT [dbo].[tbl_TestTVP] ON INSERT INTO [dbo].[tbl_TestTVP] ( [GroupInsertID], [FirstName], [LastName] ) SELECT [GroupInsertID], [FirstName], [LastName] FROM @UserDetails IF @@ROWCOUNT > 0 BEGIN SET @Result = 1 SELECT @Result RETURN @Result END --SET IDENTITY_INSERT [dbo].[tbl_TestTVP] OFF END The TVP: CREATE TYPE [dbo].[TestTVP] AS TABLE( [GroupInsertID] [varchar](50) NOT NULL, [FirstName] [varchar](50) NOT NULL, [LastName] [varchar](50) NOT NULL ) GO The the auto gen tool runs, it creates the following erroneous method: /// <summary> /// Creates an object wrapper for the testInsertToTestTVP Procedure /// </summary> public static StoredProcedure TestInsertToTestTVP(string UserDetails, int? Result) { SubSonic.StoredProcedure sp = new SubSonic.StoredProcedure("testInsertToTestTVP", DataService.GetInstance("MyDAL"), "dbo"); sp.Command.AddParameter("@UserDetails", UserDetails, DbType.AnsiString, null, null); sp.Command.AddOutputParameter("@Result", DbType.Int32, 0, 10); return sp; } It sets UserDetails as type string. As it's good form to have two folders for a SubSonic DAL - Custom and Generated, I created a StoredProcedures.cs partial class in Custom that looks like this: /// <summary> /// Creates an object wrapper for the testInsertToTestTVP Procedure /// </summary> public static StoredProcedure TestInsertToTestTVP(DataTable dt, int? Result) { DataSet ds = new DataSet(); SubSonic.StoredProcedure sp = new SubSonic.StoredProcedure("testInsertToTestTVP", DataService.GetInstance("MyDAL"), "dbo"); // TODO: Modify the SubSonic code base in sp.Command.AddParameter to accept // a parameter type of System.Data.SqlDbType.Structured, as it currently only accepts // System.Data.DbType. //sp.Command.AddParameter("@UserDetails", dt, System.Data.SqlDbType.Structured null, null); sp.Command.AddParameter("@UserDetails", dt, SqlDbType.Structured); sp.Command.AddOutputParameter("@Result", DbType.Int32, 0, 10); return sp; } As you can see, the method signature now contains a DataTable, and with my modification to the SubSonic framework, this now works perfectly. I'm wondering if the SubSonic guys can modify the auto-gen to recognize a TVP in a sproc signature, as to avoid having to re-write the warpper? Does SubSonic 3.x support Structured data types? Also, I'm sure many will be interested in using this code, so where can I upload the new code? Thanks.

  • Retail windows xp prof sp 2 Lost key but have the genuine cd , what to do?

    - by AdityaGameProgrammer
I had recently formatted my system only to find out i have lost the cd key to my original cd. i had used the option to enter the product key later. Yes, i know its a stupid thing to do but i bought the cd in 2008 from a retail store and i lost the original packaging. the actual label on the cd is includes service pack version 2002 .@2004 microsoft corporation reserved. There are some numbers on the back side of the cd in the inner ring. i cant for the life of me figure out how what is the use of the genuine cd i have with me when i cant seem to activate it. what exactly is the advantage of having the original cd in your possession in situations like this?. i have tried the unattend.txt and it doesnt contain the correct key. and there does not exist any winnnt.sif file in the cd. where on the cd or in it can i find the product id information i stay in india . and my attempts at trying the microsoft support site keeps getting me directed to page which says they had stopped support for windows xp in 2011. lets say by some miracle i do contact microsoft. what information would i have to provide them? and would they be giving me the product key for my cd key from their database? or a new key?

  • Failed to find CD/DVD driver when installing Windows 7 Pro SP 1 64bit from USB flash

    - by freiksenet
I just got a new desktop PC and was trying to install Windows 7 on it. Unfortunately I don't have a DVD drive in my laptop to burn a DVD image of Windows installation DVD, so I made a installation USB flash drive. Installation started as normal, but after clicking "Install now" I got a message that Windows can't find CD/DVD drivers and installation can't proceed. I wonder what drivers could it be missing. Thanks!

    The code below is just not working. Can anybody point out why #define STACK_SIZE 1524 static void mt_allocate_stack(struct thread_struct *mythrd) { unsigned int sp = 0; void *stck; stck = (void *)malloc(STACK_SIZE); sp = (unsigned int)&((stck)); sp = sp + STACK_SIZE; while((sp % 8) != 0) sp--; #ifdef linux (mythrd->saved_state[0]).__jmpbuf[JB_BP] = (int)sp; (mythrd->saved_state[0]).__jmpbuf[JB_SP] = (int)sp-500; #endif } void mt_sched() { fprintf(stdout,"\n Inside the mt_sched"); fflush(stdout); if ( current_thread->state == NEW ) { if ( setjmp(current_thread->saved_state) == 0 ) { mt_allocate_stack(current_thread); fprintf(stdout,"\n Jumping to thread = %u",current_thread->thread_id); fflush(stdout); longjmp(current_thread->saved_state, 2); } else { new_fns(); } } } All I am trying to do is to run the new_fns() on a new stack. But is is showing segmentation fault at new_fns(). Can anybody point me out what's wrong.
