  • I can not navigate to the next page in windows phone 7

    I am trying to navigate form one page to another page depends upon the login. If already user logged in, Welcome page should open. Else Log in Page should open. I am trying like this. The Splash Page is the start up page. This is a Splash Screen Xaml.cs: namespace NewExample.Views { public partial class SplashPage : PhoneApplicationPage { public SplashPage() { InitializeComponent(); this.DataContext = new SplashPageViewModel(); } } } This is Splash Screen View Model: Here I am check the user already logged in or not. namespace NewExample.ViewModel { public class SplashPageViewModel { public static bool isLogin = false; public SplashPageViewModel() { var rootFrame = (App.Current as App).RootFrame; if (isLogin) rootFrame.Navigate(new Uri("/Views/WelcomePage.xaml", UriKind.Relative)); else rootFrame.Navigate(new Uri("/Views/LoginPage.xaml", UriKind.Relative)); } } } But it is not working. The Splash Page only showing. This is not navigating to another page. Please help me to resolve this problem.

  • Manager property is not available for Full Text Search (SharePoint 2010)

    Hi, I had created a web part on MOSS 2007 which displays a organizational chart by searching (Full Text) the user profiles. To identify the subordinates of a user, I used to search for users with the particular user in Manager property. The query looked like this: SELECT AccountName, PreferredName, Manager, WorkEmail FROM scope() WHERE ("SCOPE" = 'People') AND Manager = 'domain\parent_user' But, the same query does not run in SharePoint 2010 as Manager crawled property does not exists. So, I created a new crawled property and mapped it to People:Manager(Text) now, the Manager property is always empty. Even a full crawl after clearing the indexes also not helping. Can anyone please help me in getting manager information in Full Text Search? Thanks in advance!

    I have a web application build on cakephp 2.x. I have integrated pagination on my data. Now i want to implement searching on that data also, and pagination should work according to search result. Now my question is: Should i use a form to post my search string. If so, then which method should i use, GET or POST. OR, should i use javascript window.location method, and append the search string to it. If we use this method then search string can append more than once to url. Or any other best way to implement this. Can anybody give the best solution for this as it is a common task for each application to have.

  • Why hashCode() returns the same value for a object in all consecutive executions?

    Hi, I am trying some code around object equality in java. As I have read somewhere hashCode() is a number which is generated by applying the hash function. Hash Function can be different for each object but can also be same. At the object level, it returns the memory address of the object. Now, I have sample program, which I run 10 times, consecutively. Every time i run the program I get the same value as hash code. If hashCode() function returns the memory location for the object, how come the java(JVM) store the object at same memory address in the consecutive runs? Can you please give me some insight and your view over this issue?

  • Why delegate types are derived from MulticastDelegate class why not it directly derive from Delegate class?

    I have a very basic question regarding delegate types. I compared the memebers of Delegate and MulticastDelegate classes in object browser and I couldn't find any new additional member present in MulticastDelegate. I also noticed that the Delegate class has GetInvocationList virtual method. So I assume that the Delegate class should have the capability to hold references to multiple methods. If my assumption is correct I wonder why not custom delegate types directly derive from the Delegate class instead of MulticastDelegate class. Not sure what I am missing here. Please help me understand the difference.

    Microsoft has just released SQL Server 2012 Upgrade Technical Guide. This guide is very comprehensive and covers the subject of upgrade in-depth. This is indeed a helpful detailed white paper. Even writing a summary of this white paper would take over 100 pages. This further proves that SQL Server 2012 is quite an important release from Microsoft. This white paper discusses how to upgrade from SQL Server 2008/R2 to SQL Server 2012. I love how it starts with the most interesting and basic discussion of upgrade strategies: 1) In-place upgrades, 2) Side by side upgrade, 3) One-server, and 4) Two-server. This whitepaper is not just pure theory but is also an excellent source for some tips and tricks. Here is an example of a good tip from the paper: “If you want to upgrade just one database from a legacy instance of SQL Server and not upgrade the other databases on the server, use the side-by-side upgrade method instead of the in-place method.” There are so many trivia, tips and tricks that make creating the list seems humanly impossible given a short period of time. My friend Vinod Kumar, an SQL Server expert, wrote a very interesting article on SQL Server 2012 Upgrade before. In that article, Vinod addressed the most interesting and practical questions related to upgrades. He started with the fundamentals of how to start backup before upgrade and ended with fail-safe strategies after the upgrade is over. He covered end-to-end concepts in his blog posts in simple words in extremely precise statements. A successful upgrade uses a cycle of: planning, document process, testing, refine process, testing, planning upgrade window, execution, verifying of upgrade and opening for business. If you are at Vinod’s blog post, I suggest you go all the way down and collect the gold mine of most important links.   • Accidentally Removed Permissions for the XP SP3 Registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT! Workaround Please!

    This is Praveen and I am using Microsoft Windows XP SP3 Build 2600. I had problems with using Microsoft Office 2010. It was keeping on saying, "Please wait while windows configures Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010". After seeing this link: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/outlookcontact/thread/6e9c3f2e-010a-4b74-b433-0c41548ee468?prof=required I thought of giving the Registry Key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, full access permissions for Everyone. I went to the registry, right-clicked on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and clicked on Permissions. I added Everyone and gave Full Control to the ACL and clicked on Apply. Also I checked "Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here that apply to child objects." After a long time, it said with an error, cannot replace for few entries. Now, the key, HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT has no access to any user. My system is not starting up. Some of my friends asked me to try the Last Known Good Configuration. Even that did not work out. When I tried to open in the Safe Mode, I got only one driver to load and even that didn't load well. Another friend suggested me to put the Setup disk and reinstall the OS. I tried that and after completing the "Installing Device Drivers" part, when it started "Installing Network", the system is getting restarted. Now, the setup is also half way through and even if I open in Safe Mode to try System Restore, it popped up a message saying, "Setup cannot run under Safe Mode. Setup will restart now." and the system is restarting. All my official files and my software, which I developed for Registry Security, resides in my system now. I am unable to access the system and I want it to be working to submit the project, as the deadline is this week. I had no better solutions from elsewhere. Can anyone please help me out with this issue. If it is possible to open the registry editor's stored file from another system and restore the access permissions, I hope it would solve the problem.     I want OpenOffice in Solaris. So I downloaded OpenOffice from the link below. http://download.openoffice.org/other.html#tested-full My OpenOffice is in .tar.gz format so I unzipped the file using gunzip and then untar'ed the file using tar xvf command. Now I got a directory containing packages subfolder. When I cd to that directory I found too many subdirectories. I could not find a single .pkg file or .jar file or .sh file so that I can install the OpenOffice in Solaris 10. How can I install OpenOffice in Solaris 10 given the scenario above?

    I use Debian 6 on a HP Elitbook 6930 with 2Gigs of RAM. I was copying two AVI files, 1.5 GB in total, and noticed that the data copying was done at the rate of 4MB/sec. When I copy same AVIs to my Western Digital Passport 25G USB plugin drive the data transfer speed is 11+MB/sec. This speed is different if I plugin the drive to different USB ports. Interestingly, at work I also downloaded a 16MB IE8 exe on my virtual xp, run inside Oracle Sun Virtual Box, and it was downloaded AND saved within a second. We have a high speed network at work. :-) Why and how this difference in data speeds is possible?

My server working well in all systems but one Windows XP machine didn't connect to server. Here i give some screen shots for clear idea, For Check network connection i use ping, It working well. I use above way for connect to server. For all other systems it working well. I am getting error message like this. ** I am using squid for proxy in Linux, For me internet also working well in that Windows XP system. ** I Deleted stored user name and password for samba in windows XP. Help me to solve this problem.
