  I'm posting this question (and answer) so if anybody else has this problem in the future, you'll be able to google it. If you are trying to run celeryd in Django like so: python manage.py celeryd You can receive the following error immediately after it has started: celery@eric-desktop-dev has started.   I wish to use NSNumberFormatter to merely attached a percent ('%') to the supplied number WITHOUT having it multiplied by 100. The canned kCFNumberFormatterPercentStyle automatically x100 which I don't want. For example, converting 5.0 to 5.0% versus 500%. Using the following: NSNumberFormatter *percentFormatter = [[NSNumberFormatter alloc] init]; [percentFormatter setNumberFormat:@"##0.00%;-##0.00%"]; But 'setNumberFormat' doesn't exist in NSNumberFomatter. • Code completion in NetBeans' python plugin does not work properly

  I am asking on StackOverflow because surely I am doing something completely silly and I hope S.O. might provide me with a quick answer. I've installed the latest stable Python-plugin for NetBeans. It works great, and I tested code completion with various packages such as sys, os and so on. It works beautifully. However, it does not seem to pick up the code completion for the code in my own project. I created a package called mypackage (it has _init_.py as well), and in it I have a module called mymodule.py. Inside mymodule I've put a class called MyClass, complete with doc-strings and all. Please refer to this screenshot to describe what happens in code-completion: As you see, it's suggesting irrelevant things, as opposed to just MyClass. (Note that if I execute mymodule.MyClass() it works 100%, it's just that I would really like code completion on my own code) Hope I'm just doing something silly here... Any ideas?

• ForceContext Queries method twice?

So I can clearly see when its accessed more than once in a minute. If I comment out the second contextSwitch line, it only goes up 1, if Its not, it displays the xml page but adds 2 minutes (being called twice somehow). Any ideas?

My guess is it's something to do with how I'm handling the initial vector/salt. I'm not very crypto-savvy but I'm thinking I should be able to take the sample clear-text and produce the same encrypted value in Java as ColdFusion produced. I am able to encrypt/decrypt my own data with my Java code (so I'm consistent) but I cannot match nor decrypt the ColdFusion sample encrypted value. I have access to a local webservice that can test the encrypted output. The given ColdFusion output sample passes/decrypts fine (of course). If I try to decrypt the same sample with my Java code (using the actual key and salt) I get a "Given final block not properly padded" error. I get the same net result when I pass my attempt at encryption (using the actual key and salt) to the test webservice. Any Ideas?

If i remove Hello() from Generate method in file2.py then its work fine. I cant use import file2.py in file1.py,because in file2.py the only one method name (Generate) is fix (its taken as requirement). So apart from Genarate method user can define any method and can call this in generate method, because this approach is not working so i have to write whole code into generate method only and code is also repetitive. Any help is really appreciable...

  I am using SQLite as my db during development, and I want to postpone actually creating a final database until my domains are fully mapped. • Root view controllers and modal dialogs

  In a custom UIViewController, if I have a member UINavigationController that I initialize with self as the root view, like this: navController = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:self]; then presenting a modal dialog does not hide the tab bar at the bottom of the screen. The result is that if the user switches to a different tab while a modal dialog is displayed, when they pop back to the tab that was displaying a modal dialog then subsequent calls to presentModalViewController do not display a modal dialog at all, even if I call dismissModalViewControllerAnimated as a result of the tab switch. If I initialize the UINavigationController with out setting self as the root controller, navigationController = [[UINavigationController alloc] init]; then the tab bar is hidden as expected. I've changed things in my program so that this isn't really an issue for me anymore, but I'm not sure that I understand why this is happening. Is it considered bad practice to have a navigation controller with self as the root, if the nav controller is going to be displaying modal dialogs?

• SQLAlchemy - how to map against a read-only (or calculated) property

  I'm trying to figure out how to map against a simple read-only property and have that property fire when I save to the database. A contrived example should make this more clear. First, a simple table: meta = MetaData() foo_table = Table('foo', meta, Column('id', String(3), primary_key=True), Column('description', String(64), nullable=False), Column('calculated_value', Integer, nullable=False), ) What I want to do is set up a class with a read-only property that will insert into the calculated_value column for me when I call session.commit()... import datetime def Foo(object): def __init__(self, id, description): self.id = id self.description = description @property def calculated_value(self): self._calculated_value = datetime.datetime.now().second + 10 return self._calculated_value According to the sqlalchemy docs, I think I am supposed to map this like so: mapper(Foo, foo_table, properties = { 'calculated_value' : synonym('_calculated_value', map_column=True) }) The problem with this is that _calculated_value is None until you access the calculated_value property. It appears that SQLAlchemy is not calling the property on insertion into the database, so I'm getting a None value instead. What is the correct way to map this so that the result of the "calculated_value" property is inserted into the foo table's "calculated_value" column?

• Use eval to set unknown property in Python

  I have an User class, that has multiple properties inside it, and I also have addPoint method for User class, which allows user to input points into any of it's properties. However, there can be up to like 500 properties, everyone can have different ones, etc. So it would be a pain in the ass to code every property with "if: - elif:". Now this is what I tried to do, to make it much easier and cleaner: class User: def __init__(self): self.health = 0 self.speed = 0 def addPoint(self, property, amount): eval("self."+property) = eval("self."+property) + amount And now when I'd do fe. u = User() u.addPoint("health", 5) I would like it to do this: self.health = self.health + 5, and that's what I used the eval()s for. However, Python's just giving me error: can't assign to function call. I'm not trying to assign the eval() function call itself, I'm trying to assign the returned value from eval(), so how could I do this the easiest way?

  Hello, In an app we are calculating a SHA1Hmac in java using the following: SecretKey key = new SecretKeySpec(secret, "HmacSHA1"); Mac m = Mac.getInstance("HmacSHA1"); m.init(secret); byte[] hmac = m.doFinal(data); And later, the hmac is verified in C# - on a SmartCard - using: HMACSHA1 hmacSha = new HMACSHA1(secret); hmacSha.Initialize(); byte[] hmac = hmacSha.ComputeHash(data); However, the result is not the same. Did I overlook something important? The inputs seem to be the same.   I am new to git and recently set up a new account with github. I'm following a rails tutorial from Michael Hartl online ( http://www.railstutorial.org/book#fig:github_first_page ) and followed his instructions to set up my git which were also inline with the setup instructions at github. Anyways, the "Next Steps" section on github were: mkdir sample_app cd sample_app git init touch README git add README git commit -m 'first commit' git remote add origin [email protected]:rosdabos55/sample_app.git git push origin master I got all the way to the last instruction (git push origin master) without any problem. When I entered that last line into my terminal, however, I got this error message: "fatal: No path specified. See 'man git-pull' for valid url syntax." What might I be doing wrong?

  We come from a subversion background where we have a QA manager who gives commit rights to the central repository once he has verified that all QC activities have been done. Me and a couple of colleagues are starting to use mercurial, and we want to have a shared repository that would contain our QC-ed changes. Each of the developers hg clones the repository and pushes his changes back to the shared repository. I've read the HG init tutorial and skimmed through the red bean book, but could not find how to control who is allowed to push changes to the shared repository. How would our existing model of QA-manager controlled commits translate to a mercurial 'central' repository?

  Hi, Every the example I find on the internet (including Apple doc) sets the target to self like this : [NSThread detachNewThreadSelector:@selector(threadedTask) toTarget:self withObject:nil]; Since i would like to do a more complex task in background (involving multiple methods), I thought of creating a class Task called like this : Task *task = [[Task alloc] init]; [NSThread detachNewThreadSelector:@selector(main) toTarget:task withObject:nil]; but I wonder, how will be handled the instance variables of my class Task ? in my method main can I safely call methods of my class Task using [self myMethod] and modifying members variables assuming I'm the only thread accessing it ? This way of handling threads seems weird to me, sorry if my question is stupid ^^ Thanks in advance

  I'm unsatisfied with other JavaScript libraries and frameworks like jQuery, MooTools, and Raphael, because of their inability to support SVG grouping. You'd think it'd be a very simple thing for them to implement.   Hi, I've the following code which causes crashes after sometime as i've set the below code in a timer:- CGImageRef cgImage = UIGetScreenImage(); [array addObject:(id)cgImage]; CGImageRelease(cgImage); Where initiallly i've declared "array" as: array = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; The timer goes well till 10 seconds as timer is of 1/10 seconds after 10 seconds it crashes. • How do I push a new project to a shared Mercurial multi-repository?

  I have a local machine ("laptop") and a shared Mercurial repository on another machine ("server"). The shared repository is set up as a multi-repository as described in the Mercurial documentation using Apache, the hgwebdir.cgi script and Mercurial 1.4. The setup works in the sense that I can browse the projects (repositories) in the web browser, I can clone and pull from the server, and I can push from the laptop when the project/repository already exists on the server. But I cannot create a new project on the laptop (hg init, do stuff, hg commit) and push it to the shared multi-repository (hg push http://server/hg/my-new-project-name) - I get "abort: HTTP Error 404: Not Found", presumably because the directory/project repository does not exist yet. How can I push a new project/directory structure to a Mercurial running elsewhere? I couldn't find anything in the documentation, how do you guys do it?
