    It is said here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mikeormond/archive/2010/12/09/writing-cross-platform-xaml-applications.aspx Within Visual Studio, if you add files to the project via “Add Existing Item”, and select the “Add As Link” option you can work on the same file from multiple projects. Oh my I'm on a project which have multiple countries, brands, components layers and each time I will add a file you want me to "Add as Link" ? This is a nightmare maintenance ! Is there any other solutions ?

    I have a MySQL query that: gets data from three tables linked by unique id's. counts the number of games played in each category, from each user and counts the number of games each user has played that fall under the "fps" category It seems to me that this code could be a lot smaller.     Is there a library or good tutorial which covers creating in-app settings, like this: http://img.skitch.com/20090625-s8bf6ahybwe3cesd1id38h3nt.jpg What I would like is if it: doesn't use the built-in Settings app is controlled by a plist file with various Dictionaries and Arrays creates a nice looking table view allows text fields as well as switches and sliders and ticks etc doesn't have any of the annoying problems I've come across when trying to build my own version (not scrolling to show the textfield, cells disappearing) It would appear that the iphone dev world is crying out for such a thing.     Hi, I've seen an interesting image hover effect being used a lot lately and was wondering whether anyone has any tips or advice on how best to create this effect? What I'd like to create is a hover effect, so that when you hover over an image, the image fades and a magnifying glass or similar icon fades in.     Hello, I am developing in C# using the SerialPort class. SerialPort.Write() is a blocking method. How can I exit this method when I want to stop writing? I use a thread to write. I abort this thread when I want to stop writing but the COM port continues to write. Any ideas? Thanks a lot. Sorry for my basic English.

    I instantiate the HttpWebRequest object: HttpWebRequest httpWebRequest = WebRequest.Create("http://game.stop.com/webservice/services/gameup") as HttpWebRequest; When I "post" the data to this service, how does the service know which web method to submit the data to? I do not have the code to this web service, all I know is that it was written in Java.

    I have a website for public users, but also have an admin part of about 10 pages, that I need to secure for website admin only. If I implement Forms-Based Authentication on the 10 pages, will it also spread across the public part of the website too? i.e. changes in web.config. I was looking at this example (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/301240) but it looks like it closes off public view for entire application!?! Regards Tea
