  • paypal IPN sends two different twice

    - by Patrick
    I've come across something a bit strange I was hoping someone with more experience with Paypal can explain, Specifically the IPN feature. It seems I'm getting two very different hits to my IPN listener. The first one always fails, The second one passes. Now I know Paypal tends to send duplicates, But what I've noticed is two very different $_POST arrays being recieved. Here's the respones : [2014-06-08 23:51:19] RAW POST DATA : Array ( [transaction] => Array ( [0] => ILS 20.00 ) [payment_request_date] => Sun Jun 08 13:52:12 PDT 2014 [return_url] => MY_URL [fees_payer] => EACHRECEIVER [ipn_notification_url] => MY_URL [sender_email] => [email protected] //fake email [verify_sign] => ANp5TpLat3.2ylx.cECtVZ..5HejAsVcs05tdVC7RldmeYNJ91SKaqFJ [test_ipn] => 1 [cancel_url] => MY_URL [pay_key] => AP-04B74091M7083584A [action_type] => PAY [transaction_type] => Adaptive Payment PAY [tracking_id] => 13 // This is a number I passed, But it doesn't exist in the 2nd POST [status] => COMPLETED [log_default_shipping_address_in_transaction] => false [charset] => windows-1252 [notify_version] => UNVERSIONED [reverse_all_parallel_payments_on_error] => false ) [2014-06-08 23:51:19] RAW POST DATA : Array ( [transaction_subject] => [payment_date] => 13:52:28 Jun 08, 2014 PDT [txn_type] => web_accept [last_name] => test [residence_country] => US [item_name] => .... (this continues for quite a bit more) .... [payment_fee] => [mc_fee] => 1.78 [mc_gross] => 20.00 [custom] => [charset] => windows-1252 [notify_version] => 3.8 [ipn_track_id] => f93ce8bdd4382 ) My problem The first IPN with the juicy tracking_id fails, the 2nd IPN is verified, But once the IPN is verified I no longer have access to the tracking_id. My questions Why does paypal send two different IPN's Why are they different? Why isn't any of this documented on Paypal? :(

  • How to record / capture audio with RecordControl on Java ME, SE K770i

    - by tomaszs
    I want to record sound on my Java ME App on K770i. So I used this: http://java.sun.com/javame/reference/apis/jsr135/javax/microedition/media/control/RecordControl.html example of RecordControl in my code. It goes like this: import java.util.Vector; import javax.microedition.lcdui.Choice; import javax.microedition.lcdui.Command; import javax.microedition.lcdui.CommandListener; import javax.microedition.lcdui.Display; import javax.microedition.lcdui.Displayable; import javax.microedition.lcdui.List; import javax.microedition.media.Manager; import javax.microedition.media.MediaException; import javax.microedition.midlet.MIDlet; import java.io.*; import javax.microedition.lcdui.*; import javax.microedition.media.*; import javax.microedition.media.control.*; import javax.microedition.midlet.*; import javax.microedition.rms.*; (...) try { // Create a Player that captures live audio. Player p = Manager.createPlayer("capture://audio"); p.realize(); // Get the RecordControl, set the record stream, // start the Player and record for 5 seconds. RecordControl rc = (RecordControl)p.getControl("RecordControl"); ByteArrayOutputStream output = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); rc.setRecordStream(output); rc.startRecord(); p.start(); Thread.currentThread().sleep(5000); rc.commit(); p.close(); } catch (IOException ioe) { } catch (MediaException me) { } catch (InterruptedException ie) { } But unfortunately when I try to build it, it tells me: *** Creating directories *** *** Compiling source files *** ..\src\example\audiodemo\AudioPlayer.java:121: cannot find symbol symbol : class RecordControl location: class example.audiodemo.AudioPlayer RecordControl rc = (RecordControl)p.getControl("RecordControl"); ^ ..\src\example\audiodemo\AudioPlayer.java:121: cannot find symbol symbol : class RecordControl location: class example.audiodemo.AudioPlayer RecordControl rc = (RecordControl)p.getControl("RecordControl"); ^ 2 errors So my question is: why there is no RecordControl class if in documentations it is written this class should be there. Or is there other method to record / capture audio from microfone in Java ME of Sony Ericsson? How do you record sound?

  • YASR - Yet another search and replace question

    - by petronius31
    Environment: asp.net c# openxml Ok, so I've been reading a ton of snippets and trying to recreate the wheel, but I'm hoping that somone can help me get to my desination faster. I have multiple documents that I need to merge together... check... I'm able to do that with openxml sdk. Birds are singing, sun is shining so far. Now that I have the document the way I want it, I need to search and replace text and/or content controls. I've tried using my own text - {replace this} but when I look at the xml (rename docx to zip and view the file), the { is nowhere near the text. So I either need to know how to protect that within the doucment so they don't diverge or I need to find another way to search and replace. I'm able to search/replace if it is an xml file, but then I'm back to not being able to combine the doucments easily. Code below... and as I mentioned... document merge works fine... just need to replace stuff. protected void exeProcessTheDoc(object sender, EventArgs e) { string doc1 = Server.MapPath("~/Templates/doc1.docx"); string doc2 = Server.MapPath("~/Templates/doc2.docx"); string final_doc = Server.MapPath("~/Templates/extFinal.docx"); File.Delete(final_doc); File.Copy(doc1, final_doc); using (WordprocessingDocument myDoc = WordprocessingDocument.Open(final_doc, true)) { string altChunkId = "AltChunkId2"; MainDocumentPart mainPart = myDoc.MainDocumentPart; AlternativeFormatImportPart chunk = mainPart.AddAlternativeFormatImportPart( AlternativeFormatImportPartType.WordprocessingML, altChunkId); using (FileStream fileStream = File.Open(doc2, FileMode.Open)) chunk.FeedData(fileStream); AltChunk altChunk = new AltChunk(); altChunk.Id = altChunkId; mainPart.Document.Body.InsertAfter(altChunk, mainPart.Document.Body.Elements<Paragraph>().Last()); mainPart.Document.Save(); } exeSearchReplace(final_doc); } protected void exeSearchReplace(string document) { using (WordprocessingDocument wordDoc = WordprocessingDocument.Open(document, true)) { string docText = null; using (StreamReader sr = new StreamReader(wordDoc.MainDocumentPart. GetStream())) { docText = sr.ReadToEnd(); } Regex regexText = new Regex("acvtClientName"); docText = regexText.Replace(docText, "Hi Everyone!"); using (StreamWriter sw = new StreamWriter(wordDoc.MainDocumentPart.GetStream(FileMode.Create))) { sw.Write(docText); } } } } }

  • Nasty redirect loop in WordPress (trailing slash, no trailing slash, and so on)

    - by Brett W. Thompson
    Hi, I read a ton of pages and tried lots of solutions but none have worked yet! My problem is that: test.asifa.net/asifa-wp Redirects to: test.asifa.net/asifa-wp/ Which redirects to the first page. What's a little bizarre is asifa-wp produces: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html><head> <title>301 Moved Permanently</title> </head><body> <h1>Moved Permanently</h1> <p>The document has moved <a href="http://test.asifa.net/asifa-wp/">here</a>.</p> </body></html> Whereas asifa-wp/ produces an empty page but the following headers (curl -v output): * About to connect() to test.asifa.net port 80 (#0) * Trying 69.163.203.138... connected * Connected to test.asifa.net (69.163.203.138) port 80 (#0) > GET /asifa-wp/ HTTP/1.1 > User-Agent: curl/7.18.2 (i386-redhat-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.18.2 NSS/3.12.0.3 zlib/1.2.3 libidn/0.6.14 libssh2/0.18 > Host: test.asifa.net > Accept: */* > < HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently < Date: Sun, 13 Jun 2010 05:40:12 GMT < Server: Apache < X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.13 < X-Pingback: http://test.asifa.net/asifa-wp/xmlrpc.php < Set-Cookie: _icl_current_language=en; expires=Mon, 14-Jun-2010 05:40:12 GMT; path=/asifa-wp/ < Location: http://test.asifa.net/asifa-wp < Vary: Accept-Encoding < Content-Length: 0 < Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 .htaccess looks like: # BEGIN WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase /asifa-wp/ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /asifa-wp/index.php [L] </IfModule> # END WordPress Any help at all would be tremendously appreciated!!!

  • Active Directory validate service account and user accounts

    - by Padur
    Hello folks I have an issue here, I guess you all know what is AD service account and why it is used for, if not please see the below description ? SSL-Explorer requires a dedicated Active Directory account to use for authenticating AD users. This account serves as a link to your Active Directory database. If the Service Account is not found on your AD database then the SSL-Explorer service will not start. Well I have Active Directory service account details and user submitted login/password details.In the code below I validated service account by giving MEMBER_GRPUP and adminPassword and I check whether the user exists in Active Directory by submitting samaaccountname but my question here is how do I validate the password submitted for that user? I am not sure how to do this, I appreciate if anybody has any suggestions on this. Thanks for your time. public boolean validateUserFromActiveDirectory(String userId) { final String MEMBER_GROUP = "CN=asdadasd,OU=asdasdasd Accounts,OU=adasdas,OU=asdasdas,DC=asdasdas,DC=asdasdas,DC=adasdasd,DC=asdasdasd"; String employeeNumber = ""; final String LDAP_INIT_CTX = "com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory"; final String LDAP_URL = "ldap://xx-ssssssss.eee.eee.eeeee.eeeee:636"; final String MY_ATTRS[] = { "employeeNumber" }; String adminPassword = "somepassword"; String securityProtocol = "ssl"; boolean isValidUser = false; try { Hashtable env = new Hashtable(); env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, LDAP_INIT_CTX); env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, LDAP_URL); env.put(Context.SECURITY_AUTHENTICATION, "simple"); env.put(Context.REFERRAL, "follow"); env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, MEMBER_GROUP); env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, adminPassword); env.put(Context.SECURITY_PROTOCOL, securityProtocol); //C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Local Settings\Temp File tf = File.createTempFile("adentTruststore", ".jks"); tf.deleteOnExit(); byte buffer[] = new byte[0x1000]; ClassLoader cl = JNDI.class.getClassLoader(); InputStream in = cl.getResourceAsStream( "someTruststore.jks"); FileOutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(tf); int cnt; while ((cnt = in.read(buffer)) != -1) out.write(buffer, 0, cnt); in.close(); out.close(); System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore", tf .getAbsolutePath()); DirContext context = new InitialLdapContext(env, null); SearchControls searchControls = new SearchControls(); searchControls.setSearchScope(SearchControls.SUBTREE_SCOPE); NamingEnumeration results = context.search( "XX=ent,XX=abc,XX=aaaaa,XX=aaaa", "(sAMAccountName=" + userId + ")", searchControls); if (results != null && results.hasMore()) { //some logic } } } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } return isValidUser; }

  • Malformed Farsi characters on AWT

    - by jlover2010
    Hi As i started programming by jdk6, i had no problem in text components neither in awt nor in swing. But for labels or titles of awt components, yes : I couldn't have Farsi characters displayable on AWTs just as simple as Swing by typing them into the source code. lets check this SSCCE : import javax.swing.*; import java.awt.*; import java.io.*; import java.util.Properties; public class EmptyFarsiCharsOnAWT extends JFrame{ public EmptyFarsiCharsOnAWT() { super("????"); setDefaultCloseOperation(3); setVisible(rootPaneCheckingEnabled); } public static void main(String[] args) throws AWTException, IOException { JFrame jFrame = new EmptyFarsiCharsOnAWT(); MenuItem show ; // approach 1 = HardCoding : /* show = new MenuItem("\u0646\u0645\u0627\u06cc\u0634"); * */ // approach 2 = using simple utf-8 saved text file : /* BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new FileReader("farsiLabels.txt")); String showLabel = in.readLine(); in.close(); show = new MenuItem(showLabel); * */ // approach 3 = using properties file : FileReader in = new FileReader("farsiLabels.properties"); Properties farsiLabels = new Properties(); farsiLabels.load(in); show = new MenuItem(farsiLabels.getProperty("tray.show")); PopupMenu popUp = new PopupMenu(); popUp.add(show); // creating Tray object Image iconIamge = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage("greenIcon.png"); TrayIcon trayIcon = new TrayIcon(iconIamge, null, popUp); SystemTray tray = SystemTray.getSystemTray(); tray.add(trayIcon); jFrame.setIconImage(iconIamge); } } Yes, i know each of three approaches in source code does right when you may test it from IDE , but if you make a JAR contains just this class, by means of NetBeans project clean&build ,you won't see the expected characters and will just get EMPTY/BLANK SQUARES ! Unfortunately, opposed to other situations i encountered before, here there is no way to avoid using awt and make use of Swing in this case. And this was just an SSCCE i made to show the problem and my recent (also first) application suffers from this subject. Note: it seems i can not attach anything, so the contents od the text file would be this: ????? and the contents of properties file: #Sun May 02 09:45:10 IRDT 2010 tray.show=????? but i don't think by giving you the unicode-scape sequence, these would be necessary any way... And i think should have to let you know I posted this question a while ago in SDN and "the Java Ranch" forums and other native forums and still I'm watching... By the way i am using latest version of Netbeans IDE... I will be so grateful if anybody has a solution to this damn AWT components never rendered any Farsi character for me... Thanks in advance

  • Creating keystore for jarsigner programmatically

    - by skayred
    I'm trying to generate keystore with certificate to use it with JarSigner. Here is my code: System.out.println("Keystore generation..."); Security.addProvider(new BouncyCastleProvider()); String domainName = "example.org"; KeyPairGenerator keyGen = KeyPairGenerator.getInstance("RSA"); SecureRandom random = SecureRandom.getInstance("SHA1PRNG", "SUN"); keyGen.initialize(1024, random); KeyPair pair = keyGen.generateKeyPair(); X509V3CertificateGenerator v3CertGen = new X509V3CertificateGenerator(); int serial = new SecureRandom().nextInt(); v3CertGen.setSerialNumber(BigInteger.valueOf(serial < 0 ? -1 * serial : serial)); v3CertGen.setIssuerDN(new X509Principal("CN=" + domainName + ", OU=None, O=None L=None, C=None")); v3CertGen.setNotBefore(new Date(System.currentTimeMillis() - 1000L * 60 * 60 * 24 * 30)); v3CertGen.setNotAfter(new Date(System.currentTimeMillis() + (1000L * 60 * 60 * 24 * 365*10))); v3CertGen.setSubjectDN(new X509Principal("CN=" + domainName + ", OU=None, O=None L=None, C=None")); v3CertGen.setPublicKey(pair.getPublic()); v3CertGen.setSignatureAlgorithm("MD5WithRSAEncryption"); X509Certificate PKCertificate = v3CertGen.generateX509Certificate(pair.getPrivate()); FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream("/Users/dmitrysavchenko/testCert.cert"); fos.write(PKCertificate.getEncoded()); fos.close(); KeyStore ks = KeyStore.getInstance(KeyStore.getDefaultType()); char[] password = "123".toCharArray(); ks.load(null, password); ks.setCertificateEntry("hive", PKCertificate); fos = new FileOutputStream("/Users/dmitrysavchenko/hive-keystore.pkcs12"); ks.store(fos, password); fos.close(); It works, but when I'm trying to sign my JAR with this keystore, I get the following error: jarsigner: Certificate chain not found for: hive. hive must reference a valid KeyStore key entry containing a private key and corresponding public key certificate chain. I've discovered that there must be a private key, but I don't know how to add it to certificate. Can you help me?

  • (resolved) empty response body in ajax (or 206 Partial Content)

    - by Nikita Rybak
    Hi guys, I'm feeling completely stupid because I've spent two hours solving task which should be very simple and which I solved many times before. But now I'm not even sure in which direction to dig. I fail to fetch static content using ajax from local servers (Apache and Mongrel). I get responses 200 and 206 (depending on the server), empty response text (although Content-Length header is always correct), firebug shows request in red. Javascript is very generic, I'm getting same results even here: http://www.w3schools.com/ajax/tryit.asp?filename=tryajax_first (just change document location to 'http://localhost:3000/whatever') So, it's probably not the cause. Well, now I'm out of ideas. I can also post http headers, if it'll help. Thanks! • Why does my JSF + Spring web application output JSF source code instead of interpreted HTML page?

    - by Corvus
    I'm new to both JSF and Spring Framework and I'm trying to figure out how to make them work together. My current problem is that application outputs my JSF files without interpreting them. Here are some snippets of my code which I believe might be relevant: dispatcher-servlet.xml <bean id="urlMapping" class="org.springframework.web.servlet.handler.SimpleUrlHandlerMapping"> <property name="mappings"> <props> <prop key="login.htm">loginController</prop> </props> </property> </bean> <bean id="viewResolver" class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.InternalResourceViewResolver" p:prefix="/WEB-INF/pages/" p:suffix=".xhtml" /> <bean name="loginController" class="controller.LoginController" /> loginController public class LoginController extends MultiActionController { public ModelAndView login(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws Exception { System.out.println("LOGIN"); return new ModelAndView("login"); } WEB-INF/pages/login.xhtml <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"> <h:head> <title>#{message.log}</title> </h:head> <h:body> <h:form> <h:outputLabel value="#{message.username}" for="userName"> <h:inputText id="userName" value="#{User.name}" /> </h:outputLabel> <h:commandButton value="#{message.loggin}" action="#{User.login}" /> </h:form> </h:body> </html> Any ideas where the problem might be? Does this code make any sense at all? I'm well aware of fact, that probably completely sucks and I'll be glad to here WHY it sucks and how to make it better. Thanks :)

  • What is the difference between NULL in C++ and null in Java?

    - by Stephano
    I've been trying to figure out why C++ is making me crazy typing NULL. Suddenly it hits me the other day; I've been typing null (lower case) in Java for years. Now suddenly I'm programming in C++ and that little chunk of muscle memory is making me crazy. Wikiperipatetic defines C++ NULL as part of the stddef: A macro that expands to a null pointer constant. It may be defined as ((void*)0), 0 or 0L depending on the compiler and the language. Sun's docs tells me this about Java's "null literal": The null type has one value, the null reference, represented by the literal null, which is formed from ASCII characters. A null literal is always of the null type. So this is all very nice. I know what a null pointer reference is, and thank you for the compiler notes. Now I'm a little fuzzy on the idea of a literal in Java so I read on... A literal is the source code representation of a fixed value; literals are represented directly in your code without requiring computation. There's also a special null literal that can be used as a value for any reference type. null may be assigned to any variable, except variables of primitive types. There's little you can do with a null value beyond testing for its presence. Therefore, null is often used in programs as a marker to indicate that some object is unavailable. Ok, so I think I get it now. In C++ NULL is a macro that, when compiled, defines the null pointer constant. In Java, null is a fixed value that any non-primitive can be assigned too; great for testing in a handy if statement. Java does not have pointers, so I can see why they kept null a simple value rather than anything fancy. But why did java decide to change the all caps NULL to null? Furthermore, am I missing anything here?

  • How to set which version of the VC++ runtime Visual Studio 2005 targets

    - by TallGuy
    I have an application that contains a VC++ project (along with C# projects). Previously, (i.e. during the last year or so) when a build has been done, Visual Studio 2005 appears to be targeting the VC++ runtime version 8.0.50727.762. At least, that is what the Assembly.dll.intermediate.manifest file is telling me: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' standalone='yes'?> <assembly xmlns='urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1' manifestVersion='1.0'> <dependency> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity type='win32' name='Microsoft.VC80.CRT' version='8.0.50727.762' processorArchitecture='x86' publicKeyToken='1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b' /> </dependentAssembly> </dependency> </assembly> This version number matches the Visual Studio 2005 version number. The application worked fine when deployed to the webserver. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and all was right with the world. Now something has changed. I don't know what - a security patch, an obscure Visual Studio setting or something. Now Visual Studio 2005 seems to be targeting the wrong version of the VC++ runtime: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' standalone='yes'?> <assembly xmlns='urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1' manifestVersion='1.0'> <dependency> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity type='win32' name='Microsoft.VC80.CRT' version='8.0.50727.4053' processorArchitecture='x86' publicKeyToken='1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b' /> </dependentAssembly> </dependency> </assembly> When I deploy the application to the webserver, I get the dreaded This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800736B1) error. This problem occurs even when I recompile previous versions of the application. I can absolutely guarantee that nothing at all has changed in the solution - we zip up the entire contents of the solution as part of the build process and archive it. I have unzipped a number of these to a temp directory, verified that the previous manifest file refers to 8.0.50727.762, recompiled using exactly the same command at the command line and then verified that the new manifest file now refers to 8.0.50727.4053. I am using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Version 8.0.50727.762 (SP.050727-7600) and Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 77646-008-0000007-41610. Why would Visual Studio revert to a previous version of the VC++ runtime? How do I specify which version it should use? What is going wrong here?

  • how get xml responce using JAX-WS SOAP handler

    - by khris
    I have implemented web service: @WebServiceClient(//parameters//) @HandlerChain(file = "handlers.xml") public class MyWebServiceImpl {...} Also I have implemented ObjectFactory with list of classes for creating my requests and responses. For Example class Test. I need to get xml of response. I try to use JAX-WS SOAP handler, so I add this @HandlerChain(file = "handlers.xml") anotation. My handlers.xml looks like: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <handler-chains xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"> <handler-chain> <handler> <handler-class>java.com.db.crds.ws.service.LoggingHandler</handler-class> </handler> </handler-chain> </handler-chains> My LoggingHandler class is: import java.io.PrintWriter; import java.util.Set; import javax.xml.namespace.QName; import javax.xml.soap.SOAPMessage; import javax.xml.ws.handler.MessageContext; import javax.xml.ws.handler.soap.SOAPMessageContext; public class LoggingHandler implements javax.xml.ws.handler.soap.SOAPHandler<SOAPMessageContext> { public void close(MessageContext messagecontext) { } public Set<QName> getHeaders() { return null; } public boolean handleFault(SOAPMessageContext messagecontext) { return true; } public boolean handleMessage(SOAPMessageContext smc) { Boolean outboundProperty = (Boolean) smc.get (MessageContext.MESSAGE_OUTBOUND_PROPERTY); if (outboundProperty.booleanValue()) { System.out.println("\nOutbound message:"); } else { System.out.println("\nInbound message:"); } SOAPMessage message = smc.getMessage(); try { PrintWriter writer = new PrintWriter("soap_responce" + System.currentTimeMillis(), "UTF-8"); writer.println(message); writer.close(); message.writeTo(System.out); System.out.println(""); // just to add a newline } catch (Exception e) { System.out.println("Exception in handler: " + e); } return outboundProperty; } } I have test class which creates request, here are part of code: MyWebServiceImpl impl = new MyWebServiceImpl(url, qName); ws = impl.getMyWebServicePort(); Test req = new Test(); I suppose to get xml response in file "soap_responce" + System.currentTimeMillis(). But such file isn't even created. Please suggest how to get xml response, I'm new to web services and may do something wrong. Thanks

According to the tutorial, running xjc on the schema, one will get PurchaseOrder.java interface and PurchaseOrderType.java interface. When I run xjc on my schema I only get a ProjectType.java class, and when the xml actually consist of a single element, this won't parse, because there are no Project.java class/interface to match.

  • How do compare dates when one of those are in string format in android

    - by Raj
    I am very much new to android so need some good help with a code example. I am getting a date in form of string from a server in the following format 2012-08-17 00:00:00 I want to compare this string with current date to find the difference between the dates in the form of year, months and days... • How to access a field's value in an object using reflection

    - by kentcdodds
    My Question: How to overcome an IllegalAccessException to access the value of a an object's field using reflection. Expansion: I'm trying to learn about reflection to make some of my projects more generic. I'm running into an IllegalAccessException when trying to call field.getValue(object) to get the value of that field in that object. I can get the name and type just fine. If I change the declaration from private to public then this works fine. But in an effort to follow the "rules" of encapsulation I don't want to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! My Code: package main; import java.lang.reflect.Field; public class Tester { public static void main(String args[]) throws Exception { new Tester().reflectionTest(); } public void reflectionTest() throws Exception { Person person = new Person("John Doe", "555-123-4567", "Rover"); Field[] fields = person.getClass().getDeclaredFields(); for (Field field : fields) { System.out.println("Field Name: " + field.getName()); System.out.println("Field Type: " + field.getType()); System.out.println("Field Value: " + field.get(person)); //The line above throws: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalAccessException: Class main.Tester can not access a member of class main.Tester$Person with modifiers "private final" } } public class Person { private final String name; private final String phoneNumber; private final String dogsName; public Person(String name, String phoneNumber, String dogsName) { this.name = name; this.phoneNumber = phoneNumber; this.dogsName = dogsName; } } } The Output: run: Field Name: name Field Type: class java.lang.String Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalAccessException: Class main.Tester can not access a member of class main.Tester$Person with modifiers "private final" at sun.reflect.Reflection.ensureMemberAccess(Reflection.java:95) at java.lang.reflect.AccessibleObject.slowCheckMemberAccess(AccessibleObject.java:261) at java.lang.reflect.AccessibleObject.checkAccess(AccessibleObject.java:253) at java.lang.reflect.Field.doSecurityCheck(Field.java:983) at java.lang.reflect.Field.getFieldAccessor(Field.java:927) at java.lang.reflect.Field.get(Field.java:372) at main.Tester.reflectionTest(Tester.java:17) at main.Tester.main(Tester.java:8) Java Result: 1 BUILD SUCCESSFUL (total time: 0 seconds)

  • JAXB doesn't unmarshal list of interfaces

    - by Joker_vD
    It seems JAXB can't read what it writes. Consider the following code: interface IFoo { void jump(); } @XmlRootElement class Bar implements IFoo { @XmlElement public String y; public Bar() { y = ""; } public Bar(String y) { this.y = y; } @Override public void jump() { System.out.println(y); } } @XmlRootElement class Baz implements IFoo { @XmlElement public int x; public Baz() { x = 0; } public Baz(int x) { this.x = x; } @Override public void jump() { System.out.println(x); } } @XmlRootElement public class Holder { private List<IFoo> things; public Holder() { things = new ArrayList<>(); } @XmlElementWrapper @XmlAnyElement public List<IFoo> getThings() { return things; } public void addThing(IFoo thing) { things.add(thing); } } // ... try { JAXBContext context = JAXBContext.newInstance(Holder.class, Bar.class, Baz.class); Holder holder = new Holder(); holder.addThing(new Bar("1")); holder.addThing(new Baz(2)); holder.addThing(new Baz(3)); for (IFoo thing : holder.getThings()) { thing.jump(); } StringWriter s = new StringWriter(); context.createMarshaller().marshal(holder, s); String data = s.toString(); System.out.println(data); StringReader t = new StringReader(data); Holder holder2 = (Holder)context.createUnmarshaller().unmarshal(t); for (IFoo thing : holder2.getThings()) { thing.jump(); } } catch (Exception e) { System.err.println(e.getMessage()); } It's a simplified example, of course. The point is that I have to store two very differently implemented classes, Bar and Baz, in one collection. Well, I observed that they have pretty similar public interface, so I created an interface IFoo and made them two to implement it. Now, I want to have tools to save and load this collection to/from XML. Unfortunately, this code doesn't quite work: the collection is saved, but then it cannot be loaded! The intended output is 1 2 3 some xml 1 2 3 But unfortunately, the actual output is 1 2 3 some xml com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.dom.ElementNSImpl cannot be cast to testapplication1.IFoo Apparently, I need to use the annotations in a different way? Or to give up on JAXB and look for something else? I, well, can write "XMLNode toXML()" method for all classes I wan't to (de)marshal, but...

  • How to use sound and images in a Java applet?

    - by Click Upvote
    Question 1: How should I structure my project so the sound and images files can be loaded most easily? Right now, I have the folder: C:\java\pacman with the sub-directory C:\java\pacman\src containing all the code, and C:\java\pacman\assets containing the images and .wav files. Is this the best structure or should I put the assets somewhere else? Question 2: What's the best way to refer to the images/sounds without using the full path e.g C:\java\pacman\assets\something.png to them? If I use the getCodeBase() function it seems to refer to the C:\java\pacman\bin instead of C:\java\pacman\. I want to use such a function/class which would work automatically when i compile the applet in a jar as well as right now when I test the applet through eclipse. Question 3: How should I load the images/sounds? This is what I'm using now: 1) For general images: import java.awt.Image; public Image getImg(String file) { //imgDir in this case is a hardcoded string containing //"C:\\java\\pacman\\assets\\" file=imgDir + file; return new ImageIcon(file).getImage(); } The images returned from this function are used in the drawImage method of the Graphics class in the paint method of the applet. 2) For a buffered image, which is used to get subImages and load sprites from a sprite sheet: public BufferedImage getSheet() throws IOException { return ImageIO.read(new File(img.getPath("pacman-sprites.png"))); } Later: public void loadSprites() { BufferedImage sheet; try { sheet=getSheet(); redGhost.setNormalImg(sheet.getSubimage(0, 60, 20, 20)); redGhost.setUpImg(sheet.getSubimage(0, 60, 20, 20)); redGhost.setDownImg(sheet.getSubimage(30, 60, 20, 20)); redGhost.setLeftImg(sheet.getSubimage(30, 60, 20, 20)); redGhost.setRightImg(sheet.getSubimage(60, 60, 20, 20)); } catch (IOException e) { System.out.println("Couldnt open file!"); System.out.println(e.getLocalizedMessage()); } } 3) For sound files: import sun.audio.*; import java.io.*; public synchronized void play() { try { InputStream in = new FileInputStream(filename); AudioStream as = new AudioStream(in); AudioPlayer.player.start(as); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } }

They're both running the same JVM: Sun JVM 1.6.0_22-b04. As part of the initialization script each worker is started with explicit Xmx, Xms, and XX:MaxPermGen settings. Yet somehow locally all 10 workers use 250MB, while on the server they use more than 2.7GB. I don't know how to begin to track this down. I thought the Ubuntu (and thus, kernel) version might make a difference, but I tried an old 10.04 VM and it behaves as expected. I've noticed that the machine does not seem to ever use memory for buffer or cache (according to htop), which seems a bit strange, but perhaps normal for a server? (edited) Some info: (server) root@devel:/app/axir/target# uname -a Linux devel 2.6.18-028stab069.5 #1 SMP Tue May 18 17:26:16 MSD 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux (local) wiktor@beastie:~$ uname -a Linux beastie 2.6.35-25-generic #44-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jan 21 17:40:44 UTC 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux (edited) Comparing PS output: (ps -eo "ppid,pid,cmd,rss,sz,vsz") PPID PID CMD RSS SZ VSZ (local) 1588 1615 java -cp axir-distribution. 25484 234382 937528 1615 1631 java -cp /home/wiktor/Code/ 83472 163059 652236 1615 1657 java -cp /home/wiktor/Code/ 70624 89135 356540 1615 1658 java -cp /home/wiktor/Code/ 37652 77625 310500 1615 1669 java -cp /home/wiktor/Code/ 38096 77733 310932 1615 1675 java -cp /home/wiktor/Code/ 37420 61395 245580 1615 1684 java -cp /home/wiktor/Code/ 38000 77736 310944 1615 1703 java -cp /home/wiktor/Code/ 39180 78060 312240 1615 1712 java -cp /home/wiktor/Code/ 38488 93882 375528 1615 1719 java -cp /home/wiktor/Code/ 38312 77874 311496 1615 1726 java -cp /home/wiktor/Code/ 38656 77958 311832 1615 1727 java -cp /home/wiktor/Code/ 78016 89429 357716 (server) 22522 23560 java -cp axir-distribution. 24860 285196 1140784 23560 23585 java -cp /app/axir/target/a 100764 161629 646516 23560 23667 java -cp /app/axir/target/a 72408 92682 370728 23560 23670 java -cp /app/axir/target/a 39948 97671 390684 23560 23674 java -cp /app/axir/target/a 40140 81586 326344 23560 23739 java -cp /app/axir/target/a 39688 81542 326168 They look very similar. In fact, the question now is why, if I add up the virtual memory usage on the server (3.2GB) does it more closely reflect 2.4GB of memory used (according to free), yet locally the virtual memory used adds up to a much more substantial 4.7GB but only actually uses ~250MB. It seems that perhaps memory isn't being shared as aggressively. (if that's even possible) Thank you for your help, Wiktor
