  • PHP Doctrine: Custom nested set?

    - by ropstah
    Is it possible to have nested set capabilities in this somewhat custom setup? Consider these 4 tables: Object: (oid, name) contains: [1, 'Licence'] and [2, 'Exemption'] Licence: (lid, name) Exemption: (eid, name) Cost: (oid, oid_ref, cost_oid, cost_oid_ref) For: P = Licence with lid [1] R = Exemption with eid [2] i can say "object P is a parent to object R" if the following Cost record exists: [oid: 2 oid_ref: 2 cost_oid: 1 cost_oid_ref: 1] I understand that this creates somesort of 'conditional foreign key' relation which I need to define in code. Is it possible to have the nested set loaded with these conditions?

  • QT: custom widget in QScrollArea

    - by slimscsi
    I am attempting to create a custom widget. My Widget renders itself unless it is inside a scroll area. The code below works. If I change the if(0) to an if(1) inside the MainWindow constructor, it will not render the "Hello World" string. I assume that I must (re)implement some additional methods, but so far I have not been able to find the correct ones with trial and error. // hellowidget.h #ifndef HELLOWIDGET_H #define HELLOWIDGET_H #include <QtGui> class HelloWidget : public QWidget { Q_OBJECT public: HelloWidget(QWidget *parent = 0); void paintEvent(QPaintEvent *event); }; #endif // HELLOWIDGET_H // hellowidget.cpp #include "hellowidget.h" HelloWidget::HelloWidget(QWidget *parent) : QWidget(parent) { } void HelloWidget::paintEvent(QPaintEvent *event) { QPainter painter(this); painter.drawText(rect(), Qt::AlignCenter, "Hello World"); } // mainwindow.h #ifndef MAINWINDOW_H #define MAINWINDOW_H #include <QtGui> class MainWindow : public QMainWindow { Q_OBJECT public: MainWindow(QWidget *parent = 0); ~MainWindow(); private: }; #endif // MAINWINDOW_H // mainwindow.cpp #include "mainwindow.h" #include "hellowidget.h" MainWindow::MainWindow(QWidget *parent) : QMainWindow(parent) { HelloWidget *hello = new HelloWidget; QWidget *central = hello; if( 0 ) { QScrollArea *scroll = new QScrollArea ; scroll->setWidget(hello); central = scroll; } setCentralWidget( central ); } MainWindow::~MainWindow() { } // main.cpp #include <QtGui/QApplication> #include "mainwindow.h" int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { QApplication a(argc, argv); MainWindow w; w.show(); return a.exec(); }

  • Avoiding a large number of custom EventArgs?

    - by Brian Ortiz
    The class library I'm refactoring has a large number of events (over 50) each with its own Delegate, even though many have the same arguments. I starting switching them all over to use EventHandler and custom EventArgs but it is proving to be tedious and time consuming. Is there an easier way to handle a situation like this, when you have a huge number of events?

  • Tap, Pan for a map & fixed headers - event conflict

    - by kaiser
    I'm currently developing a small WebApp that makes use of Google Maps (front-end uses jquery-ui-maps) jQuery Mobile with a fixed header & footer Now I encountered a conflict that appears on touch enabled devices as well as on desktop/mouse controlled "click" events: When I "tap" or "click" the map to actually "pan" it, then my header/footer toggles it's visibility. As I want to keep the toggle behaviour, I can't simply deactivate it, but showing/hiding the header/footer on every "pan" of the map is odd. After thinking some time about it, I think I got a concept that should work: Question: How I can I add a delay to the visibility toggle for the header/footer? So when I don't release the finger/mouse after XYms, the header/footer doesn't show/hide? Example: jQuery( '#map_page' ).live( "pageinit" ,function() { // Att.: pseudo code if ( $.mobile.taphold ) don't toggle fixed if ( mousedown > XYms ) don't toggle fixed } ); Thanks!

  • Scala: custom control structures with several code blocks

    - by Vilius Normantas
    Is it possible to create a custom control structure with several code blocks, in the fashion of before { block1 } then { block2 } finally { block3 }? The question is about the sugar part only - I know the functionality can be easily achieved by passing the three blocks to a method, like doInSequence(block1, block2, block3). A real life example. For my testing utilities I'd like to create a structure like this: getTime(1000) { // Stuff I want to repeat 1000 times. } after { (n, t) => println("Average time: " + t / n) }

    - by Wouter Willems
    i created my own directive, replacing an input field with a custom made input field. However, the validation of the required field never seems to update and instead is always false. Other directives inside my directive like ng-class do work. I have created a plunker here to show this problem: http://plnkr.co/edit/NuZNAJceL0MVX8i6RK9n?p=preview Can anybody help me out how to make sure that the required validation is properly updated?

  • jQuery - Trigger click event on links with spacebar?

    - by Herb Caudill
    It looks like in most browsers, an <input type="submit"> treats both [spacebar] and [enter] as a click, but an <a> link only treats [enter] as a click. My app uses a number of links formatted to simulate buttons, so a user that is accustomed to tabbing to a button and pressing [spacebar] will be frustrated. This bit of jQuery solves the problem: $("a.Button").die("keypress").live("keypress", function(e) { if (e.which == 32) { $(this).trigger("click"); e.preventDefault(); } }); My question: Is this a reason not to do this? I'm a little reluctant to override the browser's default behavior on something as basic as this, but since I'm already abusing the link tag to make it look like a button, at least this way I'm not violating the user's expectations any further.

  • Triggering event when Button is pressed down in Android

    - by Cody
    I have the following code for Android which works fine to play a sound once a button is clicked: Button SoundButton2 = (Button)findViewById(R.id.sound2); SoundButton2.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View v) { mSoundManager.playSound(2); } }); My problem is that I want the sound to play immediately upon pressing the button (touch down), not when it is released (touch up). Any ideas on how I can accomplish this?

  • Pyplot connect to timer event?

    - by Baron Yugovich
    The same way I now have plt.connect('button_press_event', self.on_click) I would like to have something like plt.connect('each_five_seconds_event', self.on_timer) How can I achieve this in a way that's most similar to what I've shown above? EDIT: I tried fig = plt.subplot2grid((num_cols, num_rows), (col, row), rowspan=rowspan, colspan=colspan) timer = fig.canvas.new_timer(interval=100, callbacks=[(self.on_click)]) timer.start() And got AttributeError: 'AxesSubplot' object has no attribute 'canvas'

  • jQuery date picker not persistant after AJAX

    - by ILMV
    So I'm using the jQuery date picker, and it works well. I am using AJAX to go and get some content, obviously when this new content is applied the bind is lost, I learnt about this last week and discovered about the .live() method. But how do I apply that to my date picker? Because this isn't an event therefore .live() won't be able to help... right? This is the code I'm using to bind the date picker to my input: $(".datefield").datepicker({showAnim:'fadeIn',dateFormat:'dd/mm/yy',changeMonth:true,changeYear:true}); I do not want to call this metho everytime my AJAX fires, as I want to keep that as generic as possible. Cheers :-) EDIT As @nick requested, below is my wrapper function got the ajax() method: var ajax_count = 0; function getElementContents(options) { if(options.type===null) { options.type="GET"; } if(options.data===null) { options.data={}; } if(options.url===null) { options.url='/'; } if(options.cache===null) { options.cace=false; } if(options.highlight===null || options.highlight===true) { options.highlight=true; } else { options.highlight=false; } $.ajax({ type: options.type, url: options.url, data: options.data, beforeSend: function() { /* if this is the first ajax call, block the screen */ if(++ajax_count==1) { $.blockUI({message:'Loading data, please wait'}); } }, success: function(responseText) { /* we want to perform different methods of assignment depending on the element type */ if($(options.target).is("input")) { $(options.target).val(responseText); } else { $(options.target).html(responseText); } /* fire change, fire highlight effect... only id highlight==true */ if(options.highlight===true) { $(options.target).trigger("change").effect("highlight",{},2000); } }, complete: function () { /* if all ajax requests have completed, unblock screen */ if(--ajax_count===0) { $.unblockUI(); } }, cache: options.cache, dataType: "html" }); } What about this solution, I have a rules.js which include all my initial bindings with the elements, if I were to put these in a function, then call that function on the success callback of the ajax method, that way I wouldn't be repeating code... Hmmm, thoughts please :D
