  Quick question, has anyone ever come across either a web cam API or an open source alternative that can be easily integrated to a site without having any Flash or ActionScript experience. I should probably say what I'm trying to do.... The idea is to create a Facebook app that lets friends communicate (and meet new people too) in real time over web cam. However I don't have the required experience to write the Flash part so any help would be appreciated.

I can do a binary binary search and get the index 3,but how can i get (2 and 4) is there any efficient algorithm? the real problem has lists with about one Million items. any language except bf and lisp can help.

  I want to achieve something similar to what these guys do here: - (NSUInteger)countForFetchRequest:(NSFetchRequest *)request error:(NSError **)error like you can see, you pass an NSError pointer and that nice method will assign a real NSError object to your pointer in case there is an error. So the cool thing about this is, that the method returns an NSUInteger but can ALSO return an NSError, without having to mess around with ugly and fat arrays or dictionaries. So how could I assign an object to the passed-in error pointer?

  In Eclipse (and Flash/Flex Builder) you get the option with Ctrl+Shift+F to do a file search and look for a regular expression. Would be a real handy thing to know. For example in CCK when creating a new field I can access the user’s username with the ‘User reference’ Field type and setting the ‘Widget type’ to ‘Autocomplete text field’. Everything looks great, but when I hit command-Q or do it from the menu, my windowStateChanged(WindowEvent e) is not firing on my main JFrame (if I exit in any other way, it does fire).
