Instead of repeating a bunch of stuff, I hope it's okay that I refer you to that other question instead: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1203698/show-nssegmentedcontrol-menu-when-segment-clicked-despite-having-set-action/ My question is: How would the code within [self showGearMenu] look like, i.e. how would one actually use the popUpContextMenu:withEvent:forView method to accomplish what the poster of the other question wants? I ask because it seems that the question was resolved for the poster, but he never shared with us how he actually popped up the menu :)

The only way at the time I could find to ensure that every request to a page was over https was to check it in the page load event. If the request was not over http I would response.redirect("https://mysite.com") Is there a better way -- ideally some setting in the web.config?

    Is there a way to add custom fields to the built in browser context menu using Javascript? I know flash/actionscript can do this, how are they doing it? Example: right click on http://josephjewell.com and see the custom context menu. Is this possible with pure javascript or do you have to use flash? Note, I'm looking for adding to the built in browser context menu, not using custom javascript popups to mimic them.

So I follow this: http://www.gitready.com/advanced/2009/02/10/squashing-commits-with-rebase.html I did $ git rebase --interactive HEAD~2 It opens an editor I change 'pick' to 'squash' Save the editor But i get 'Cannot 'squash' without a previous commit' so what can I do to recover?     i have built jQuery drop-down menu which is having problems floating over the UI header. Flash and everything else is fine, menu has no problem floating over anything except UI headers, i have tried messing with z-index in css files but it seems that jQuery script is over writing all of my css. the JS files are minified so i can not edit them.
