  Trying a bit of AJAX, and I find that much of my data is littered with underscores! Documentation confirms that this is working as intended. Any way to pass my form information to PHP in tact? I'm using code igniter, so my pass looks like /controller/function/variable, receiving controller: controller{ function($v=0){#what once was hello world is now hello_world...} } I can't very well do an undo, data might contain an underscore.   I'm about to adopt MongoDB for a new project and I've chosen it for flexibility, not scalability. From the documentation and web posts I keep reading that all indexes are in RAM. This just isn't making sense to me as my indexes will easily be larger than the amount of available RAM. Can anyone share some insight on the index/RAM relationship and what happens when both an individual index and all of my indexes exceed the size of available RAM?

  Hello, I am trying to programmatically set the org.exolab.castor.indent property when marshalling some objects - however, contrary to the documentation published, the class org.exolab.castor.util.LocalConfiguration does not seem to be shipped with the 1.3 release. Currently, I have specified the castor.properties file on the classpath, which is picking up the properties I want to set, but I would rather reduce this deployment overhead, as my indentation requirement is not likely to change. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  I'm trying to get a stored procedure to work using the following syntax: select count(sl.Item_Number) as NumOccurrences from spv3SalesDocument as sd left outer join spv3saleslineitem as sl on sd.Sales_Doc_Type = sl.Sales_Doc_Type and sd.Sales_Doc_Num = sl.Sales_Doc_Num where sd.Sales_Doc_Type='ORDER' and sd.Sales_Doc_Num='OREQP0000170' and sl.Item_Number = 'MCN-USF' group by sl.Item_Number having count (distinct sl.Item_Number) = 0 In this particular case when the criteria is not met the query returns no records and the 'count' is just blank. I need a 0 returned so that I can apply a condition instead of just nothing. I'm guessing it is a fairly simple fix but beyond my simple brain capacity. Any help is greatly appreciated. Wally

  I am trying to use JXMapViewer (from swingx-ws) with Open Street Maps. I was wondering if it would be possible to display the map tiles in the JXMapViewer based on heading up, rather than on North up. For example, the normal car GPS navigation systems let you do that.   I have been approached to create a website using Sabre Web Services to power the reservations system. All documentation I have seen refers to .NET or Java solutions, I was in doubt whether PHP can be used as access is performed using SOAP.   In a web-based application that uses the Model-View-Controller design pattern, the logic relating to processing form submissions seems to belong somewhere in between the Model layer and the Controller layer. This is especially true in the case of a complex form (i.e. where form processing goes well beyond simple CRUD operations). What's the best way to conceptualize this? Are forms simply a kind of glue between models and controllers? Or does form logic belong squarely in the M or C camp? EDIT: I understand the basic flow of information in an MVC application (see chills42's answer for a summary). My question is where the form processing logic belongs - in the controller, in the model, or somewhere else?

  Hi, i'm using jQuery for sending ajax requests to the server, but i have some problems with the charset. In the ajax function documentation is written that data is always sent in UTF-8 according to the W3C XMLHTTPRequest standard, so i don't think that jQuery allows you to change the request charset (except if you load a script, but that's not my case). So do you know a way to set the ISO-8859-1 charset for the ajax request in jQuery?

• Change Titlewindow close button

  I'm working with Flex 3.4 SDK. I need to change the default close button image from a TitleWindow. So what I'm doing is defining a CSS selector, like this: TitleWindow{ close-button-skin: Embed('assets/close.png'); border-color: #FFFFFF; corner-radius: 10; closeButtonDisabledSkin: ClassReference(null); closeButtonDownSkin: ClassReference(null); closeButtonOverSkin: ClassReference(null); closeButtonUpSkin: ClassReference(null); } The problem is: the result image is totally squeezed beyond recognition. Probably because the image dimensions are 55x10 pixels (much wider than the default closebutton square-like dimensions) and flex forces it to fit that size. Would anyone know how to go about fixing that?
