  • ASP.NET 2.0 files work in one folder, but NOT in another

    I am about to leap of a building. I have created an app for a client and all the files are in a folder on their D drive. Now it is time to go production, so I copied all my files and folders to their excisting classic asp folder on the same drive. BUT NOTHING WORKS. The only difference I can see is that DEV does not require HTTPS like the production site. I also made sure all the permissions are the same on both folder. I made sure that the GAC has read rights using the aspnet_regiis tool. I am at the end of my debug knowlegde, could someone please help me out. Here are the error messages I get from the application event log.   • Zend Layout and Bootstrapping

    So i'm using the standard Zend Layout for my site. I have a number of custom controllers and views, and the content of these pages is displayed, but the details in the head element of the layout.phtml are not shown. Do i need to manually associate the Zend_Layout with each specific controller?. I expected since the layout is loaded via the bootstrap this should be available for free.   • Zend: Fetching row from session db table after generating session id

    Hi, I'm trying to update the session table used by Zend_Session_SaveHandler_DbTable directly after authenticating the user and writing the session to the DB. But I can neither update nor fetch the newly inserted row, even though the session id I use to check (Zend_Session::getId()) is valid and the row is indeed inserted into the table. Upon fetching all session ids (on the same request) the one I newly inserted is missing from the results. It does appear in the results if I fetch it with something else. I've checked whether it is a problem with transactions and that does not seem to be the problem - there is no active transaction when I'm fetching the results. I've also tried fetching a few seconds after writing using sleep(), which doesn't help. $auth->getStorage()->write($ident); //sleep(1) $update = $this->db->update('session', array('uid' => $ident->user_id), 'id='.$this->db->quote(Zend_Session::getId())); $qload = 'SELECT id FROM session'; $load = $this->db->fetchAll($qload); echo $qload; print_r($load); $update fails. $load doesn't contain the row that was written with $auth-getStorage()-write($identity). $qload does contain the correct query - copying it to somewhere else leads to the expected result, that is the inserted row is included in the results. Database used is MySQL - InnoDB. If someone knows how to directly fix this (i.e. on the same request, not doing something like updating after redirecting to another page) without modifying Zend_Session_SaveHandler_DbTable: Thank you very much!

    I'm accessing a SOAP web service like : $wsdl_url = 'http://abslive3.timesgroup.com:8888/clsRSchedule.soap?wsdl' ; $client = new Zend_Soap_Client($wsdl_url, array('proxy_host'=>"http://virtual-browser.25u.com" , 'proxy_port'=>80)); Since my shared server blocks port 8888, I'm using this proxy server. But Zend Soap Client tries to directly connect it.   • How can I simply change the Timezone Offset with Zend_Date?

    I'm using Zend_Date to manage dates/times in a scheduling app. The only way I'm able to determine the user's Timezone is via Javascript which only gives a Timezone Offset. Zend_Date only seems to take Timezones in the 'America/New_York' format. Is there a way to get the users timezone in this format or set the Timezone Offset with Zend_Date? Thanks!

    I've to build a 3D user experience with HTML5 and any required JS library which provides such functionality. 3D scene consists of a cylindrical pipe and surface. It has 360 degree rotation and can zoom in and out. As user selects a parameter, specific value of that parameter at various depth of pipe in surface should display. I've searched for HTML5 3d and JS libraries and found three.js could help for this.Also found this useful presentation on HTML 3d engine: http://projects.mariusgundersen.net/OnGameStart/#1 .But as this is my first time with HTML5 3d modeling, how should I initiate to build ? What parameters should be considered ? Which tools and libraries would best fit for such requirements ? I would like to create a 3d model using HTML5 and JS 3d engine as shown in the 1st image.

    In Magento I'm creating a custom module and would love to be able to filter automatically by the datetime column so that the intial grid listing shows only entities related to "todays" date. Here is my datetime column: $this->addColumn('ts', array( 'header' => $hlp->__('Activated'), 'align' => 'left', 'index' => 'ts', 'type' => 'datetime', 'width' => '160px', )); I'm think there should be a way for me to just add a filter to the collection like so: $now = Mage::getModel('core/date')->timestamp(time()); $dateTime = date('m/d/y h:i:s', $now); $collection = Mage::getModel('mymodule/items')->getCollection() ->addFieldToFilter('ts', $dateTime); But this doesn't work? Am I using the wrong filter? My "ts" field in the database is a "datetime" field, but the default magento "From: " - "To:" date range selectors don't use hours, minutes, seconds. Any ideas?   • Stop propagating deletes

    Is it just me or is anyone else finding EF very difficult to use in a real app :( I'm using it as the data layer and have created custom business objects. I'm having difficulty converting the business objects back to EF objects and updating/adding/deleting from the database. Does anyone know a good, simple example of doing this? Actually the current problem that's driving me nuts is when I delete something EF tries to delete other related stuff as well. For example, if I delete an invoice it will also delete the associated customer! Seems odd. I can't figure out how to stop it doing this. // tried: invoiceEfData.CustomerReference = null; // also tried invoiceEfData.Customer = null; context.DeleteObject(invoiceEfData); context.SaveChanges(); // at this point I get a database error due to it attempting to delete the customer

  • Strange behaviour with Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms

    I have a Windows Mobile application in which I want to check the device orientation. Therefore I wrote the following property in one of my forms: internal static Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms.ScreenOrientation DeviceOriginalOrientation { get; private set; } The strange thing is that after that whenever I open a UserControl, the designer shows this warning even if that UserControl doesn't use the property: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=969db8053d3322ac' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040) Commenting the above property will dismiss the warning and shows the user control again. The application is built successfully and runs without any problems in both cases. Does anybody know why this happens and how can I fix it?

    Subject says it all. I want to modify the POCO generation adapter (http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/EFPocoAdapter) to generate my own code. I have the .tt adapters done, but I want to be able to distribute this to coworkers, so they right-click on the model, choose "Generate Code", and my t4 templates appear in the options along with the other choices. Is there an easy way to do this? I found some articles at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/tsyyf0yh(VS.80).aspx but it was focused on generic templates, and I'm looking for specifically model templates.

My model is a School can have many Persons where Persons are inherited out to teachers, students, etc. The following query works for me: IQueryable<DAL.TEACHER> teacher = from p in School select p.PERSON as ESBDAL.TEACHER; How would I write this as a query expression? I thought something like: IQueryable<DAL.TEACHER> teacher = School.Select(x=>x.PERSON) as IQueryable<DAL.TEACHER>; ...but it does not. Am I misunderstanding the .Select()?

  • Business entity: private instance VS single instance

    Suppose my WinForms application has a business entity Order, the entity is used in multiple views, each view handles a different domain or use-case in the application. As an example, one managing orders, the other one digging into one order and displaying additional data. If I'd use nHibernate (or any other ORM) and use one session/dataContext per view (or per db action), I'd end up getting two different instances for the same Order (let's say orderId = 1). Although functionally the same entity, they are technically two different instances. Yes, I could implement Equals/GetHashcode to make them "seem" the same. Why would you go for a single instance per entity vs private instances per view or per use-case? Having single instances has the advantage of sharing INotifyPropertyChanged events, and sharing additional (non-persistent) data. Having a private instance in each view would give you the flexibility of the undo functionality on a view level. In the example above, I'd allow the user to change order details, and give them the flexibility to not save the change. Here, synchronisation between the view/use-case happens on a data persistence level. What would your argument be?

    In PHP curl there are two functions used to ignore all SSL errors (invalid cert, self signed, expired, so on): curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST, false); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, false); I am switching over to use Zend_Http_Client, but I can't seem to find a way to force it to ignore errors. (I don't have a way to test it just yet, I wanted to see if anybody has done this before) So, does anybody know the equivalent function/functions to do this in Zend_Http_Client?

    I am pretty sure this is some problem with the Apache configuration because it used to work on the previous hosting provider with the same PHP/MySQL configuration. In my application, users are able to delete photos by going to URIs like this: http://example.com/my-account/remove-media/id/9/ret/my-account%252Fedit-album%252Fid%252F1 The paramater id is an id of a photo to be removed, the parameter ret is a relative URL where user should be redirected after the removal of the photo but after clicking on a link like that I get 404 Not Found error with the text: Not Found The requested URL /public/my-account/remove-media/id/9/ret/my-account/edit-album/id/1 was not found on this server. Though it used to work on my previous hosting provider so I guess it is just some easy Apache configuration issue?     I can't seem to call this executable correctly in my psake deploy script. If I do this: exec { "$ArchiverOutputDir\NServiceBus.Host.exe /install" } It simply outputs this (and is clearly not calling the executable - just outputting the value of that expression): c:\ReloDotNet2_ServiceEndpoints\Archiver\NServiceBus.Host.exe /install But if I do this: exec { c:\ReloDotNet2_ServiceEndpoints\Archiver\NServiceBus.Host.exe /install } I get the expected output from the executable. How do I correctly call an executable with a variable in the path to the executable in psake? If this is actually a PowerShell issue, please feel free to correct the question to reflect that insight.
