  • PHP object cannot find method

    - by Daniel Hertz
Hello, So I have a very simple class that has a method called getThumbUrl() but when I try calling this method on an instance I get Notice: Undefined property: FlickrImage::$getFullUrl But it is clearly there. Here is the code of the function: public function getThumbUrl() { return "http://farm".$this->_farm.".static.flickr.com/".$this->_server."/".$this->_id."_".$this->_secret."_t.jpg"; } And here is where it fails: foreach($photos as $photo) { echo "<img src='$photo->getFullUrl()' />"; } Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Rails find all with association

    - by aaronrussell
I have what I think is a very simple problem (famous last words)... I have a Category model that has_and_belongs_to_many Events. I want to construct a simple and efficient query that finds all categories that have 1 or more events. (using Rails 3) I'm sure I'm having a dumb moment here - any help appreciated :)

  • Looking for fast "Find in Files" program

    - by Josh McDonald
I currently have a directory with 98,000 individual archive transaction files. I need to search those files for user input strings and have the option to open the files as it finds them or at the end of the search. I'm using Notepad++ currently and, while functional, it's quite slow. I thought about writing my own, but I am only familiar with .NET and I'm a beginner. Also, I'm not sure how efficient that would be compared to NP++. This tool would be used again and again so the dev time would definitely be worth it if it came to that. Is there some other tool out there that's already developed that would accomplish this?

  • How to find out how namespace got polluted?

    - by dehmann
Consider the following little piece of code: // all of these include other headers, lots of code: #include "myheader1.h" #include "myheader2.h" #include <string> void foo() { string s("hello world"); // oh no, why does this compile?? } This compiles, so obviously some of the recursively included header files has a using namespace std; somewhere. How would you go about finding out where that offending line of code is? Just using grep on all header files won't really work because that statement is often used inside a function, where it is safe and won't pollute the rest of the code.

  • How to find distance between two geopoints in c using calculateDistance(const CWaypoint& wp)

    - by Harsha
    void getAllDataByPointer(string *pname,double *platitude, double *plongitude); void getAllDataByReference(string &pname,double &platitude, double &plongitude); double calculateDistance(const CWaypoint& wp); void print(int format); bool less(const CWaypoint& wp_right); CWaypoint add(const CWaypoint& wp_right); These are the functions I am using. I have the values as output but how to call the latitude values of two different cities so that I can use the following formula distance = ERADIUS * (acos(sin(latitude_1)*sin(latitude_2) + cos(latitude_1) * cos(latitude_2)*cos(longitude_2 - longitude_1)));

  • find out the origin of function calls

    - by user560343
Hi all, I wonder if there is a software that can help us determine all possible origins of a function call. For example: /* in file f1.c */ int f1() { x_func(); } /* in file f2.c */ int f2() { x_func(); } If we want to trace the origin of all function calls to x_func(), the output will be: f1.c:f1() f2.c:f2() This is very useful when reading the source code. All answers are appreciated. Thank in advance :D

  • Read external HTML page and then find data within

    - by inthewayboy
I'm playing around with an idea, and I'm stuck at this one part. I want to read an external HTML page and then extract the data held within two <dd> tags. I've been using file_get_contents with good results, but I'm at a loss as to how to accomplish that last part. The two tags I want to extract the value from are always enclosed within a particular <div>, was wondering if that might help? In my mind it reads the entire html file into a string, then dumps all the data up until this one particular <div>, and dumps all the data after the closing </div>. Is that possible? I think this needs regex syntax which I've never used yet. So any tips, links, or examples would be great! I can provide more info as necessary.

  • jquery find element next to another

    - by Thiganofx
Hi I have the following html: <p> <input type="text" name="field2" /> <input type="hidden" name="fieldh2"/> <button type="button" class="sendInfo">Send</button> </p> What I want is that when user clicks the button, I need to send using ajax the contents of the field field. This is what i'm trying to do with no success. $(function() { $('button.sendInfo').live('click', function() { var id = $(this).parent().next('[type=text]').val(); alert(id); }); }); I plan to set what the user types in textbox to the hidden field, and the value received from the ajax call to normal textbox. But the problem is that i can´t even get the value of the textbox that is in the same line as the button the user clicks. Can anyone help me? Thanks a lot.
