  • Error on change form action

    - by Thomas
    Hi, I'm changing the form action with: window.onload = function() { document.getElementById('pdf').onclick = addExportEvent; document.getElementById('xls').onclick = addExportEvent; document.getElementById('xml').onclick = addExportEvent; document.getElementById('csv').onclick = addExportEvent; } function addExportEvent() { data = grid.getAllGridData(); document.getElementById('dados').setAttribute('value', encodeURIComponent(JSON.stringify(data))); formulario = document.getElementById('formulario'); // Line 55! formulario.action = 'php/' + this.id + '.php'; formulario.submit(); return false; } But it doesn't work with Internet Explorer.   • PHP DOMNode entities and nodeValue

    - by Obsidian
    When getting the nodeValue of a DOMNode object that has entities in the nodeValue (i.e. a & gt;) then it converts the entity into it's printable character (i.e. ) Does anyone know of a way to get it to keep it as an entity, it really messes up string comparisons when it converts to something unexpected. The following code reproduces the problem you will notice the length of the dump is 3 when it should be 6. <?php $xml='<?xml version="1.0"?> <root> <element>&gt;</element> </root>'; $a=new DOMDocument(); $a->loadXML($xml); var_dump($a->childNodes->item(0)->nodeValue);

  • JNI unsigned char to byte array

    - by Jeff Storey
I'm working with a C++ library that stores image byte data in an array of unsigned characters. My jni function returns a jByteArray (which then gets converted to a BufferedImage on the java side), but I'm not sure how to fill the jByteArray from the unsigned character array (if it is possible). Can anyone provide a snippet for this last part to basically do this: // size is the size of the unsigned char array const int size = 100; unsigned char* buf = new unsigned char[size]; // buf gets passed to another library here to be populated jbyteArray bArray = env->NewByteArray(size); // now how do I get the data from buf to bArray? Thanks, Jeff

  • Semantic Diff Utilities

    - by rubancache
I'm trying to find some good examples of semantic diff/merge utilities. The traditional paradigm of comparing source code files works by comparing lines and characters.. but are there any utilities out there (for any language) that actually consider the structure of code when comparing files? For example, existing diff programs will report "difference found at character 2 of line 125. File x contains v-o-i-d, where file y contains b-o-o-l". A specialized tool should be able to report "Return type of method doSomething() changed from void to bool". I would argue that this type of semantic information is actually what the user is looking for when comparing code, and should be the goal of next-generation progamming tools. Are there any examples of this in available tools?

  • Alternative to Microsoft Agent / Fix for color issue?

    - by Rob P.
I've got an app that does Text-To-Speech; but I wanted to show an animated face/character to go with it. I found a tutorial on Microsoft Agent and I implemented it in my vb.net app. The problem is with the transparency color. Unless I run application in compatibility mode/256 colors, the characters will appear with a purplish-pink background image instead of a transparent back-color. But running the app in 256 colors the rest of the app looks awfully out of place. First - is there something that works similar to MS Agent I can use that would be more appropriate? Second - if I'm still MS Agent - can I get the transparent color to work correctly without limiting myself to 256 colors?

  • CREATE mysql database with default InnoDB tables?

    - by memilanuk
Hello, I've been working on writing a SQL statement to create a MySQL database with several default options, including default character set and default collate. Is it possible to add syntax to make the default engine type for tables in this database to be innodb? I've been looking through the MySQL manual for v.5.1 and I've found the statement 'ENGINE=innodb' which would be appended to a CREATE TABLE statement... but I haven't found anything related to a CREATE DATABASE statement. Is there a normal way to do this as part of the database creation, or does it need to be specified on a table-by-table basis? Thanks, Monte

I've got some problem with unichr() on my server. Please see below: On my server (Ubuntu 9.04): >>> print unichr(255) Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\xff' in position 0: ordinal not in range(128) On my desktop (Ubuntu 9.10): >>> print unichr(255) ÿ I'm fairly new to python so I don't know how to solve this. Anyone care to help? Thanks.

  • Handling inverse kinematics: animation blending or math?

    - by meds
I've been working for the past four days on inverse kinematics for my game engine. I'm working on a game with a shoestring budget so when the idea of inverse kinematics came up I knew I had to make it such that the 3D models bones would be mathematically changed to appear to be stepping on objects. This is causing some serious problems with my animation, after it was technically implemented the animations started looking quite bad when the character was wlaking up inclines or steps even though mathematically the stepping was correct and was even smoothly interpolating. So I was wondering, is it actually possible to get a smooth efficient inverse kinematic system based exclusively on math where bones are changed or is this just a wild goose chase and I should either solve the inverse kinematics problem with animation blending or don't do it at all?

  • Recieving server broadcast on mobile in real time

    - by Manjoor
I have to write a simple mobile application that is able to recieve broadcast from a server, connected using GPRS, over a secure SSL connection. The amount of data mobile need to recieve is very small (about 100 character string for a single broadcast and maximum 10 broadcast per minute) I need to display it on screen and generate a alert sound (and vibrate the device). Client need not to send anything back to server. (ofcourse at the time of intialization the client app need to send some data for authorization) The target mobile plateform is symbion S60 and Blackberry. How can i do this? What tools, SDK and Third party framework (if needed) i should use? I am familier with java and network programming but not for mobile device.

  • Getting the Value of a UITextField as keystrokes are entered?

    - by Nocturne
Let's say I have the following code: IBOutlet UITextField* nameTextField; IBOutlet UILabel* greetingLabel; I'd like the greetingLabel to read "Hello [nameTextField]" as soon as the user presses any key. What I need basically is the iPhone equivalent of the Cocoa delegate method -controlTextDidChange: The -textField:shouldChangeCharactersInRange: delegate method is called each time a keystroke occurs: - (BOOL) textField:(UITextField *)textField shouldChangeCharactersInRange:(NSRange)range replacementString:(NSString *)string The string argument returns the character that is pressed. The actual textField's value (nameTextField.text) remains blank however. What am I missing here? (I'd like nameTextField to reflect the exact string that the user has entered so far)

  • Inserting Newline from XML to Database

    - by blackmage
I am trying to parse this xml document in which a newline is required for certain fields and must be inserted into the database with the newline. But I've been running into problems. 1)First Problem: \n Character The first problem I had was using the \n like below. <javascript>jquery_ui.js\nshadowbox_modal.js\nuser_profile.js\ntablesorter.js</javascript> The problem was in the database the field came out ot be jquery_ui.js\nshadowbox_modal.js\n... and when output into html it was jquery_ui.jsnshadowbox_modal.jsn............... 2) Then I tried actually having newlines in the xml <javascript>jquery_ui.js shadowbox_modal.js user_profile.js tablesorter.js</javascript> The problem was the output become %20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20shadowbox_modal.js, and so forth. So how can I get a newline to hold from xml when entered into a database and then output with the newline still?

  • Passing more than one argument in asp.net button in gridview

    - by MarceloRamires
I have a TemplateField column in a gridview with a button inside of it. There is NO key value (surely that was not designed by me) , but in the other hand there aren't redundancies when comparing each single column, because they are events, and there is "starting date" and "ending date" of something that could not happen twice at the same time. I've already figured selecting with these values and all, but I just want the button to pass about five arguments to a given function. I've tested: <asp:Button CommandArgument='<%# Eval("day")%>' ID="Button2" runat="server" Text="Button" /> And it works properly, the day of the clicked row is passed, and could be retrieved through: e.CommandArgument.ToString(); in the GridView_RowCommand handler. How do I pass more than one argument? I've thought about concatenating with a separating character (wouldn't be that bad) but besides not knowing how to do it yet (didn't want to invest in a poor solution) I want a smarter one.

  • When does printf("%s", char*) stop printing?

    - by remagen
In my class we are writing our own copy of C's malloc() function. To test my code (which can currently allocate space fine) I was using: char* ptr = my_malloc(6*sizeof(char)); memcpy(ptr, "Hello\n", 6*sizeof(char)); printf("%s", ptr); The output would typically be this: Hello Unprintable character Some debugging figured that my code wasn't causing this per say, as ptr's memory is as follows: [24 bytes of meta info][Number of requested bytes][Padding] So I figured that printf was reaching into the padding, which is just garbage. So I ran a test of: printf("%s", "test\nd"); and got: test d Which makes me wonder, when DOES printf("%s", char*) stop printing chars?

  • How to maintain tabs when pasting in Vim

    - by Ant Wilson
I use the tab key to indent my python code in Vim, but whenever I copy and paste a block Vim replaces every tab with 4 spaces, which raises an IndentationError I tried setting :set paste as suggested in related questions but it makes no difference Other sites suggest pasting 'tabless' code and using the visual editor to re-indent, but this is asking for trouble when it comes to large blocks Are there any settings I can apply to vim to maintain tabs on copy/paste? Thanks for any help with this :) edit: I am copying and pasting within vim using the standard gnome-terminal techniques (ctrl+shift+c / mouse etc.) my .vimrc is: syntax on set ts=4 if has("terminfo") let &t_Co=8 let &t_Sf="\e[3%p1%dm" let &t_Sb="\e[4%p1%dm" else let &t_Co=8 let &t_Sf="\e[3%dm" let &t_Sb="\e[4%dm" endif I looked up that ts - Sets tab stops to n for text input, but don't know what value would maintain a tab character

  • Can someone explain this "endian-ness" function for me?

    - by Mike
Write a program to determine whether a computer is big-endian or little-endian. bool endianness() { int i = 1; char *ptr; ptr = (char*) &i; return (*ptr); } So I have the above function. I don't really get it. ptr = (char*) &i, which I think means a pointer to a character at address of where i is sitting, so if an int is 4 bytes, say ABCD, are we talking about A or D when you call char* on that? and why? Would some one please explain this in more detail? Thanks. So specifically, ptr = (char*) &i; when you cast it to char*, what part of &i do I get?

  • SQL for selecting only the last item from a versioned table

    - by Jeremy
I have a table with the following structure: CREATE TABLE items ( id serial not null, title character varying(255), version_id integer DEFAULT 1, parent_id integer, CONSTRAINT items_pkey PRIMARY KEY (id) ) So the table contains rows that looks as so: id: 1, title: "Version 1", version_id: 1, parent_id: 1 id: 2, title: "Version 2", version_id: 2, parent_id: 1 id: 3, title: "Completely different record", version_id: 1, parent_id: 3 This is the SQL code I've got for selecting out all of the records with the most recent version ids: select * from items inner join ( select parent_id, max(version_id) as version_id from items group by parent_id) as vi on items.version_id = vi.version_id and items.parent_id = vi.parent_id Is there a way to write that SQL statement so that it doesn't use a subselect?

  • Why isn't wchar_t widely used in code for Linux / related platforms?

    - by Ninefingers
This intrigues me, so I'm going to ask - for what reason is wchar_t not used so widely on Linux/Linux-like systems as it is on Windows? Specifically, the Windows API uses wchar_t internally whereas I believe Linux does not and this is reflected in a number of open source packages using char types. My understanding is that given a character c which requires multiple bytes to represent it, then in a char[] form c is split over several parts of char* whereas it forms a single unit in wchar_t[]. Is it not easier, then, to use wchar_t always? Have I missed a technical reason that negates this difference? Or is it just an adoption problem?

  • invalid token error while parsing an XML file with UTF-8 encoding

    - by Niranjan
invalid token error while parsing an XML file with UTF-8 encoding. This error is coming when it encountered extended ASCII character 'â' { "â", "â" }. When I have changed the encoding from UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1 the parsing is successful. But my application should support UTF-8, ASCII and extended ASCII characters. What should I do for this? Any ideas are welcome. Thanks in Advance for your time and solution.

  • How does this C# asp.net random password code work?

    - by quakkels
Hello all, I'm new to .NET and C# and I'm trying to figure out how this code works: public static string CreateRandomPassword(int PasswordLength) { String _allowedChars = "abcdefghijkmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ23456789"; Byte[] randomBytes = new Byte[PasswordLength]; RNGCryptoServiceProvider rng = new RNGCryptoServiceProvider(); rng.GetBytes(randomBytes); char[] chars = new char[PasswordLength]; int allowedCharCount = _allowedChars.Length; for(int i = 0;i<PasswordLength;i++) { /// /// I don't understand how this line works: /// chars[i] = _allowedChars[(int)randomBytes[i] % allowedCharCount]; } return new string(chars); } I think I've got a pretty good handle on most of this. I haven't been able to understand the following line: chars[i] = _allowedChars[(int)randomBytes[i] % allowedCharCount]; I understand that the code generates random binary numbers and uses those random numbers in the for loop to select a character from the _allowedChars string. What I don't get is why this code uses the modulous operator (%) to get the _allowedChars index value. Thanks for any help

  • Interpretation of Greek characters by FOP

    - by Geek
Hi, Can you please help me interpret the Greek Characters with HTML display as HTML= & #8062; and Hex value 01F7E Details of these characters can be found on the below URL http://www.isthisthingon.org/unicode/index.php?page=01&subpage=F&hilite=01F7E When I run this character in Apache FOP, they give me an ArrayIndexOut of Bounds Exception Caused by: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -1 at org.apache.fop.text.linebreak.LineBreakUtils.getLineBreakPairProperty(LineBreakUtils.java:668) at org.apache.fop.text.linebreak.LineBreakStatus.nextChar(LineBreakStatus.java:117) When I looked into the FOP Code, I was unable to understand the need for lineBreakProperties[][] Array in LineBreakUtils.java. I also noticed that FOP fails for all the Greek characters mentioned on the above page which are non-displayable with the similar error. What are these special characters ? Why is their no display for these characters are these Line Breaks or TAB’s ? Has anyone solved a similar issue with FOP ?
