    Hi I think even if we will not need interoperability between applications, and even we do not communicate with web services, it is easier to serialize using SoapFormatter than XmlSerializer because SOAP will serialize the private members by default, while XmlSerializer will work on public properties and fields. actually I cannot find a reason for using XmlSerializer, do I miss something? what is disadvantages of SoapFormatter. or what is advantage of XML serialization over Soap? (xsd) thanks

    Hi all, I am working on a system that provides a soap interface. One of the systems that are going to use the interface is coded in Delphi 7. The web service is developed with WCF, basic http binding, SOAP 1.1. If I use SOAP UI (JAVA), the service works properly. Gefunden wurde "Element "NS2:GetCustomerRequest" aus Namespace "http://services.xxx.de/xxx"". Zeile 1, Position 599. Means something like The Body was expected. But instead the Element "NS2:GetCustomerReques" was found. Now my questions is: Can I somehow change the way Delphi creates the envelope? Or are the ways to make WCF work with such message formats? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Using an own WorkManager allows me to specify my own thread timeout (MaxThreadStuckTime) instead of adjusting the timeout for the whole business application.   • WCF method not receiving the parameters

    I have a WCF method that is not receiving the request parameters. But if I use the WCFTest client (the one that comes with visual studio) the method receives the parameters. Not a WYSIWYG editor like freetextbox or a javascript syntax highlighter but something that would make editing xml in the browser a bit easier than just as text in a textarea. maybe some non-editable areas, collapsable nodes, xsd validation etc. any ideas?

    I'm working on a webservices client app and I have it mostly working. I can retrieve and read data from the third-party webservice fine. Now I need to submit some data and I'm stuck. The classes for the objects I'm retrieving/submitting were generated from XSD files via the xjc tool. The part I'm stuck on is turning one of those objects into an XML tree to submit to the webservice. When I retrieve/send a request from/to the ws, it contains a 'payload' object. This is defined in java code as (partial listing): @XmlAccessorType(XmlAccessType.FIELD) @XmlType(name = "PayloadType", propOrder = { "compressed", "document", "any", "format" }) public class PayloadType { @XmlElement(name = "Compressed") protected String compressed; @XmlElement(name = "Document") protected List<String> document; @XmlAnyElement protected List<Element> any; protected String format; public List<Element> getAny() { if (any == null) { any = new ArrayList<Element>(); } return this.any; } } The only field I'm concerned with is the 'any' field which contains an XML tree. They actually ask developers to use the API instead because the Web service is kinda messy, but this is a problem in my case because I cannot use this API on a Perl environment, so their solution for my specific case is to use the Web service. This shouldn't be a problem. Using SOAP::Lite I have connected to several Web services in the past in the same way. But the lack of documentation is a major chaos if you don't know where the SOAP calls can be made. I only have an XML to decipher where to and how to make these calls. It would be great if a real SOAP genius could help me out in this.     I was attempting to make changes to my controller, and all of a sudden, I no longer seem to receive any requests (404 when attempting to hit the servlet mapped URLs).
