someone bluntly stated today, it's piece of ** and the professor laughed too.

Hi,
Do you know any Javascript Tree Creator that lets you add or remove nodes up to 3 levels deep?
I'm currently using the jQuery treeview but is currently coding the add and remove of node items which is hard.

Hi, I'm working on Steganography application. I need to hide a message inside an image file and secure it with a password, with not much difference in the file size. I am using Least Significant Bit algorithm and could do it successfully with BMP files but it does not work with JPEG, PNG or TIFF files. Does this algorithm work with these files at all? Is there a better way to achieve this? Thanks.
I am currently working on an ASP.NET 3.5 and C# web application which deals with users secure information like credit card numbers. What are some of the security measures which I need to take from an application development stand point so that I can sleep peacefully at night :)

What are the things to consider and watch out for when designing a website with AJAX? Must take care of conditions, say timeouts, error handling, for instance?
Best practices? What parameters to take care of while designing and coding?
Currently, i have a google web search. I am building a desktop application that needs to update current user's status frequently. This status will be available as RSS feed.
In order to do this, I think I can create a asp.net folder and secure it using form authentication. When the desktop application written as winform in c# needs to update status, it can set WebRequest.Credentials and upload data.
Is there any better way of doing this?
Thanks
I want to convert a tab delimited text file to a XML file. I was able to do it with a single character delimiter. But how do i extend it to tabs? I am coding in C# and using Visual Studio 2010.
I currently make my website using iWeb. Is there a way that I can embed a WordPress blog into the site? Either through an easy option or through coding?
Having used ViewModels in MVC, I was wondering if applying the same to the MVP pattern is practical. I only have a few considerations, one being that MVP is already fairly hard to implement (with all the additional coding, not much on the seeming complexity) or that ViewModels already have a slightly similar way of modeling data or entities. Would adding another layer in the form of ViewModels be redundant or is it a logical abstraction that I, as one implementing the MVP pattern, should adhere to?
Hello everyone,
I am using SQL Server 2008 Enterprise. I met with issue which says line 9 of store procedure foo is meeting with dead lock issue. My question is how to find exactly the 9th line of the store procedure?
My confusion is because of coding format issue, how to locate 9th line correctly.
thanks in advance,
George
I need to get the path (not the executable) where my application is running from:
System.AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory()
When I run the above statement with & "/images/image.jpg" on my local machine it works fine but when I install the application on another machine it says it cannot find the file and there is a lot of extra path information some.
I just need the directory of where the app is running. I am coding in VB.NET with Visual Studio 2008.
Thanks!
I started coding in C# and have never had the opportunity to use callbacks though I have used delegates for event wiring. What is the real application of callbacks. I would be grateful if you could give some link that explains about callbacks in a straight forward way without C++ prerequisites.
I have a problem regarding json web service security.
I tried to developed a sample web application using json webservice,but the problem is the url was exposed on the client side.So from there,anybody can make a program and call the service for a thousand times.
Please take note, that the web service will be using for a registration page, in which checks if the user was exist on the database.So there is no authentication happened on this process.
What are the approach to secure the calling of the exposed web service?
I'm a coding a JavaScript reporting component, that requires multiple LI's i.e. lists to be selected collectively as a bunch with visual feedback.
I'm thinking of adapting the onfocus event. Is it possible for multiple HTML elements to receive focus at the same time?
I searched the site but didn't see anything quite matching what I was looking for. I created a stand alone application that uses a web service I created. To run the client I use:
c:/scriptsdirecotry "run-client.bat" param1 param2 param3 param4
how would I go about coding this in python or F#. seems like it should be pretty simple but I haven't seen anything online that quite matches what i'm looking for.
Thanks in advance.
In my last Drupal project we were 5 people doing coding and installing new modules, at the same type our client was putting up content. Since we chose to have only one server for simplicity there were times were many people needed to write to the same files like style.css or page.tpl.php or when someones broken code would prevent others from working
Are there any best practises for a team that works with Drupal? How can leverage code repositories or sandboxes?
Coming from a C# background the naming convention for variables and method names are usually either CamelCase or Pascal Case:
// C# example
string thisIsMyVariable = "a"
public void ThisIsMyMethod()
In Python, I have seen the above but I have also seen underscores being used:
# python example
this_is_my_variable = 'a'
def this_is_my_function():
Is there a more preferable, definitive coding style for Python?
I'm coding a WYSIWYG editor width designMode="on" on a iframe. The editor works fine and i store the code as is in the database.
Before outputing the html i need to "clean" with php on the server-side to avoid cross-site-scripting and other scary things. Is there some sort of best practice on how to do this? What tags can be dangerous?
UPDATE: Typo fixed, it's What You See Is What You Get. Nothing new :)
