  Let's says I have a classifieds site which has a URL structure similar to the one which I have listed below: Ex. http://takarat.com/openclassifieds/?category=iphone&location=tennessee This is what shows up when I click "tennessee" as the location and then click on "iphone" as the category. Now let's say this site has a search box and I wanted a URL which comes up after using this search box to show up as opposed to the previous URL. Let's say that whenever I search for the word "iphone" while WITHIN the iphone CATEGORY the following link shows up: Iphone SEARCH Ex. http://takarat.com/openclassifieds/?s=iphone&category=iphone&location=tennessee Ok, I want THAT iphone SEARCH to come up whenever anyone clicks Tennessee Iphone..How would I do this [by the way, I want this to be dynamic so that I can use the code for different combinations of locations and products etc..I want the code to use the CATEGORY name to conduct the search basically]?   I've got a C# function that converts a byte array to a class, given it's type: IntPtr buffer = Marshal.AllocHGlobal(rawsize); Marshal.Copy(data, 0, buffer, rawsize); object result = Marshal.PtrToStructure(buffer, type); Marshal.FreeHGlobal(buffer); I use sequential structs: [StructLayout(LayoutKind.Sequential)] public new class PacketFormat : Packet.PacketFormat { } This worked fine, until I tried to convert to a struct/class containing a byte array. [StructLayout(LayoutKind.Sequential)] public new class PacketFormat : Packet.PacketFormat { public byte header; public byte[] data = new byte[256]; } Marshal.SizeOf(type) returns 16, which is too low (should be 257) and causes Marshal.PtrToStructure to fail with the following error: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. I'm guessing that using a fixed array would be a solution, but can it also be done without having to resort to unsafe code?

  Hi There, I'm trying to enable dynamic fields in the configuration file for my mapping app, but I can't figure out how to parse the "equation" passed in by the user, at least not without writing a whole parser from scratch! I'm sure there is some easier way to do this, and so I'm asking for ideas! Basic idea: public var testString:String = "(#TOTPOP_CY#-#HISPOP_CY#)/#TOTPOP_CY#"; public var valueObject:Object = {TOTPOP_CY:1000, HISPOP_CY:100}; public function calcParse(eq:String):String { // do calculations return calculatedValue } So far, I was thinking of splitting the expression by either the operators, or maybe the variable tokens, but that gets rid of the parenthetical nesting. Alternatively, use a series of regex to search and replace each piece of the expression with its value, recursively running until only a number is left. But I don't think regex does math (i.e. replace "\d + \d" with the sum of the two numbers) Ideally, I'd just do a find/replace all variable names with their values, then run an eval(), but there's no eval in AS... eesh I downloaded some course materials for a course on compiler design, so maybe I'll just write a full-fledged calculator language and parser and port it over from the OTHER flex (the parser generator) :-D

  I'm writing an Air application using only Actionscript, and Flex3 SDK as the compiler. Everything compiles and runs fine under adl, but when the final air file is built and installed, the main class is never initialized. And when I declare it outside the class, I can't access the variable from within the class. What is the best way?

  I am adding functionality into my scripts so that they can use kerberos authentication to run automatically and use secure protocols when executing. I have my functionality working for shell scripts that do exactly what i want, however i am having issues porting it to perl to work within my perl scripts as i am new to perl.   I've written a simple Employee class that I'm trying to serialize to an XDocument and then use XSLT to transform the document to a page that displays both the properties (Name and ID) from the Employee class, and an html form with 2 radio buttons (Approve and Reject) and a submit button. Does anyone know what needs to be done so that my transform will select and display both the Employee properties and the html form?

  Working on an app where I have a large collections of managed objects against which I want to fetch a few random instances. My question is, is there any way I can use NSPredicate and NSFetchRequest to return several objects at random. I saw that you could actually add a NSFetchRequest into the entity using the data modeler, any way to do the random fetch using this? ".$user_in_group."</h2>"; // if 1, means yes } Need to print run the appropriate function based on what returns true. There are user's that are members of both FACULTY and STAFF groups, so I want to check for those users and display the appropriate content for them. So if the user is both faculty and staff, then display this, if they are only of staff, display that, same for faculty, might not make sense, but I will write out some code "in theory" that will help you understand what I am trying to do switch(Get group membership of user) { case "FACULTY": print "Faculty group member"; break; case "STAFF": print "Staff group member"; break; case "FACULTY and STAFF": print "Member of both faculty and staff"; break; } I am unsure on how it will check if they are members of both groups and run that thru the case statement to display the appropriate message. The foreach look currently runs thru every group the user belongs to, prints out the ones from the $list_of_groups and the number 1 to the right of it, signifying they belong to it. The problem I have is trying to use that information to run thru the case statement, I am unsure of how to go about that. This is what it prints out for the user currently passed thru the foreach loop: Group: FACULTY user in group? 1 Group: STAFF user in group? 1 Any help is appreciated.

  I'm just taking a look at CoffeeScript for the first time so bare with me if this is a dumb question. I'm familiar with the hidden pattern methodology however I'm still wrapping my head around object prototypes. I'm trying to create a basic class for controlling a section on my site. The problem I'm running into is losing defined class variables within a different scope. For example, the code below works fine and creates the properties within the object perfectly. However when I jump into a jQuery callback I lose all knowledge of the class variables storing some of the jQuery objects for multiple uses. It works properly on Windows, though: welcome_message = Welcome, {0}.
