• After .load() Reset Textbox with User Entered Value using JavaScript and jQuery

  My function below calls a partial view after a user enters a filter-by string into the text box '#DocId'. When the user is done typing, the partial view is displayed with filtered data. Since my textbox needs to be in the partial view, when user is done entering a filter-by string and is shown the filtered data, the textbox is reset and the user entered data is lost. How can I set the value of the textbox back to the user entered string after the partial view is displayed?   I've got a list of affiliates (users who have referred someone to the site): affiliates = User.objects.annotate(referral_count=Count('referrals')).filter(referral_count__gt=0) And a count of the number of users each affiliate has referred within a time frame: new_users = User.objects.filter(date_joined__gt=sd, date_joined__lte=ed) new_referrals = User.objects.filter(referrals__user__in=new_users).annotate(referral_count=Count('referrals')) How can I do something like new_referrals['affiliate.username'].referral_count from within my template? Note that this is not just a syntax issue, I also need to index new_referrals somehow so that I'm able to do this. Either this, or if I can somehow add a new_referral_count to the first query, that'd work too.

• jQuery after show() assumes that display:inline is :hidden. Why?

  With jQuery 1.4.2, :hidden filter is not filtering out elements that were hidden, but i've made then visible by calling show(). Filter assumes it is still hidden. Is this bug or am i missing something?   I have very long select query which i need to filter based on some params, i'm trying to avoid having different stored procedures or if statements inside of single stored procedure by using partly dynamic TSQL... I will avoid long select just for example sake select a from b where c=@c or d=@d @c and @d are filter params, only one can filter at the same time but also both filters could be disabled. 0 for each of these means param is disables so i can create nvarchar with where statement in it... How do i integrate in here dynamic query so 'where' can be added to normal query. I cannot add all the query as big nvarchar because there is too many things in it which will require changes ( ie. when's, subqueries, joins)

  hello everyone, i'm just not sure how to draw the frequency response (H) of the high pass filter? after drawing the frequency response i can get the b coefficient by taking the ifft of (H). so yeah, for a low pass filter, with a cutoff frequency of say pi/2 : the frequency response code will be H = exp(-1*j*w*4).*(((0 <= w) & (w<= pi/2)) | ((2*pi - pi/2 <= w) & (w<=2*pi)); sincr the response is "1" between 0 and pi/2 and between (2*pi - pi/2) and 2*pi. can you help me write H for a high pass filter? thanx in advance.

  Hi, I have made a sample application which constructs a filter graph to capture audio from the microphone and stream it to a file. Is there any filter which allows me to stream to a memory buffer instead? I'm following the approach outlined in an article on msdn and are currently using the CLSID_FileWriter object to write the audio to file. This works nicely, but I cannot figure out how to write to a memory buffer. Is there such a memory sink filter or do I have to create it myself? (I would prefer one which is bundled with windows XP)

• Haskell: Constrain function on type Double to only work with Integers

  Suppose I'm writing a function that takes a list of integers and returns only those integers in the list that are less than 5.2. I might do something like this: belowThreshold = filter (< 5.2) Easy enough, right? But now I want to constrain this function to only work with input lists of type [Int] for design reasons of my own. This seems like a reasonable request. Alas, no. A declaration that constraints the types as so: belowThreshold :: [Integer] -> [Integer] belowThreshold = filter (< 5.2) Causes a type error. So what's the story here? Why does doing filter (< 5.2) seem to convert my input list into Doubles? How can I make a version of this function that only accepts integer lists and only returns integer lists? Why does the type system hate me?

• jQuery: I need something like ':visible' that works even if the parent is display=none

  I have a list where elements are hidden for multiple reasons, each corresponding to a css class i.e: <style> .filteredOut { display: none; } .somethingElse { display : none; } ... </style> I want to apply alternating css classes via .filter(':even').addClass('even') but only to classes that are visible. The problem is that the parent is hidden when this happens so .filter(':visible') returns 0 elements. I need something like .filter(':visibileEventIfParentIsNot') Further more, I'd rather not have to call a function with this in it every time I call a function that changes what's visible in a list. This may be a pipe dream, but is there a way to do this ala live() or something similar? I'm open to off the wall ideas.

  Sorry if this may be a stupid question but I'm unable get my filters to inherit the way the Rails 3 documentation is saying it should. Specifically I have an Admin controller that was generated via: rails generate controller admin I added only a single action to the admin controller, the before filter & the private filter method class AdminController < ApplicationController before_filter require_admin_creds def index end private def require_admin_creds unless current_user && current_user.admin? flash[:error] = ... redirect_to .... end end end I next then created my nested resources under the admin section with: rails generate scaffold admin/model While my admin index is indeed getting the filter, the admin/model index (or any other actions) are not. What is happening under the hood here that I must have excluded? Thanks in advance.

  Hi, I'm trying to get notifications in a CouchDB change poll as soon as pre-defined field is set or changed. I've already had a look at filters that can be used for filtering change events(db/_changes?filter=myfilter). However, I've not yet found a way to include this temporal information, because you can only get the current version of the document in this filter functions. Is there any possibility to create such a filter? If it does not work, I could export my field to a separate database and the only poll for changes in that db, but I'd prefer to keep together my data for obvious reasons. Thanks in advance!

  I have a paged ASP.NET ListView. The data shown is filtered, which can be controlled by a form. When the filter form changes, I create a new query, and perform a DataBind. The problem however, when I go to the next page, and set a filter, the ListView shows "No data was returned". That is not weird, because after the filter is applied, there is only one page of data. So what I want to do is reset the pager. Is that a correct solution to the problem? And how do I do that?

  Just by messing around a little it seems that the video stream is not ascii. i tested by downloading the stream. It would be insane if it was. Theres so many videos. So that couldnt be it. Youtube seems to not work with javascript disable (not counting mobile if true). How is it being done? is it javascript magic? is the SWF running the video through a filter in realtime? (I doubt its a native filter so how is the filter compiled) its really cool. I cant imagine how this is running realtime yet it is!

• iqueryable select/where not working

  I have two tables Boxer and Prospect. Boxers has general stuff like name and and dob etc and a BoxerId While Prospect contains only one value (at the moment) which is a boxerId. If a boxer is a prospect(up and coming boxer) there Id will be in the prospect table. This works fine but now I want to select all boxers that are prospects public static IQueryable<Boxer> IsProspect(this IQueryable<Boxer> query) { //this does not filter down to only prospects!!! return query.Where(x => x.Prospect != null); } This is the function I call using: var repository = GetRepository<Boxer>(); var boxers = repository.Query().IsProspect(); I would hope this would filter my collection of all boxers down to just boxers that are prospects! Oddly it doesnt filter it but if i hover over my boxers object and look at each boxer during debugging I can see "IsProspect" true or false correctly

How can I achieve my goal?

Build and Configure a Standalone Likewise-CIFS Server This section demonstrates how to build and configure a standalone instance of Likewise-CIFS from the command line. This procedure also assumes you know how to build Linux applications from their source code and then install them. • Cant logon to domain over site-to-site vpn

  Tied together branch office with main office over two Cisco ASAs. The (internal) networks on either side can communicate with the other. I can ping, use the DC's DNS service and even join a domain on a new client. I can't however logon, I get the "domain controller is not available" error message on client. I find nothing peculiar in DC's event logs. Sicne it's site-to-site (with ping), it's always up so it should work. No firewall rules (except allow any any) between the two networks (of either side). • How to consolidate servers with the not-very-strong infrastructure

  All, Situation We are in retail industry with about 10 distributors and use Solomon as the standard ERP for all our systems Each distributor has 1 HQ and 5 - 10 branches, each branch has their own server (Windows 2000/XP/2003 + Solomon + another built-in POS system) Everyday, branches has to extract data and send (via email/Skype) to HQ for data consolidation purpose When we first deployed our ERP, the infrastructure (e.g. Internet connection) wasn't reliable enough. That's why we went with the de-centralized model (each branch got their own server) Now, the infrastructure is mature already. And we need to consolidate data more quickly (not from branches -- HQ -- our company but something like HQ -- our company only) Goal We just have Solomon servers in distributor HQ. All the transactions in branches (retrieved from POS) will by synchronized with HQ server directly) There is a backup plan just in case the Internet goes down, or HQ server goes down Question With the above question, could you guys suggests some model for me ? Should we use Terminal services, any other solutions ? Any watchout/suggestions ? Any good article to read 'bout this ? Thanks a lot

• Version control and branching when using Oracle

  Hi folks: At work we're using Oracle and C#/ASP.net to handle a customer's website, this site is very large-scale so the database is very large. We use Perforce for our version control, and tack create or replace scripts to FogBugz cases whenever a database change, which has been fine until now, as we are now at a point where five developers are working on five expansions for the system, each on a seperate Perforce branch. Unfortunately, we cannot get duplicate databases, due to the database size, so everyone is still working from the same one. This is obviously a cause of problems: only ten minutes ago we had a bit of an issue where a stored procedure change for a branch propagated over to the Pre-Production server and caused a large number of crashes for the testers. Ideally, we would like a way to track these changes without having to manually keep track of them through FogBugz. My question is: how do you lot handle this situation? I'm sure there must be a good way by now to handle versioning, or at least tracking changes, in an Oracle database.
