  • Courier IMAP always disconnects since update

    - by Raffael Luthiger
    Since one of our customers updated their server courier does not handle IMAP connections properly any more. POP3 works without any problems. When I try to test IMAP with telnet then it is always like this: $ telnet domain.com 143 Trying 188.40.46.214... Connected to domain.com. Escape character is '^]'. * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 UIDPLUS CHILDREN NAMESPACE THREAD=ORDEREDSUBJECT THREAD=REFERENCES SORT QUOTA IDLE ACL ACL2=UNION STARTTLS] Courier-IMAP ready. Copyright 1998-2011 Double Precision, Inc. See COPYING for distribution information. 01 LOGIN [email protected] test Connection closed by foreign host. I enabled debugging in the authdaemond but the output does not really help much: Apr 12 23:10:04 servername authdaemond: received auth request, service=imap, authtype=login Apr 12 23:10:04 servername authdaemond: authmysql: trying this module Apr 12 23:10:04 servername authdaemond: SQL query: SELECT login, password, "", uid, gid, homedir, maildir, quota, "", concat('disableimap=',disableimap,',disablepop3=',disablepop3) FROM mail_user WHERE login = '[email protected]' Apr 12 23:10:04 servername authdaemond: password matches successfully Apr 12 23:10:04 servername authdaemond: authmysql: sysusername=<null>, sysuserid=5000, sysgroupid=5000, homedir=/var/vmail, [email protected], fullname=<null>, maildir=/var/vmail/domain.com/test, quota=0, options=disableimap=n,disablepop3=n Apr 12 23:10:04 servername authdaemond: Authenticated: sysusername=<null>, sysuserid=5000, sysgroupid=5000, homedir=/var/vmail, [email protected], fullname=<null>, maildir=/var/vmail/domain.com/test, quota=0, options=disableimap=n,disablepop3=n Right after the "Authenticated" line the output stops. There is no other message. And in no other log file I've checked I could find any other related message. The system was updated from Ubuntu 10.10 to 12.04. How could I get more information? Or does anybody have an idea what could go wrong here?

  • Turn off gzip for a location in Nginx

    - by Nyxynyx
    How can gzip be turned off for a particular location and all its sub-directories? My main site is at http://mydomain.com and I want to turn gzip off for both http://mydomain.com/foo and http://mydomain.com/foo/bar. gzip is turned on in nginx.conf. I tried turning off gzip as shown below, but the Response Headers in Chrome's dev tools shows that Content-Encoding:gzip. How should gzip/output buffering be disabled properly? Attempt: server { listen 80; server_name www.mydomain.com mydomain.com; access_log /var/log/nginx/access.log; error_log /var/log/nginx/error.log; root /var/www/mydomain/public; index index.php index.html; location / { gzip on; try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php?$args ; } location ~ \.php$ { fastcgi_pass unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock; fastcgi_index index.php; include fastcgi_params; fastcgi_read_timeout 300; } location /foo/ { gzip off; try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php?$args ; } }

  • Problem with deploying django application on mod_wsgi

    - by Shehzad009
    Hello, I seem to have a problem deploying django with mod_wsgi. In the past I've used mod_python but I want to make the change. I have been using Graham Dumpleton notes here http://code.google.com/p/modwsgi/wiki/IntegrationWithDjango1, but it still seem to not work. I get a Internal Server Error. django.wsgi file: import os import sys sys.path.append('/var/www/html') sys.path.append('/var/www/html/c2duo_crm') os.environ['DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE'] = 'c2duo_crm.settings' import django.core.handlers.wsgi application = django.core.handlers.wsgi.WSGIHandler() WSGIScriptAlias / /var/www/html/c2duo_crm/apache/django.wsgi Apache httpd file: <Directory /var/www/html/c2duo_crm/apache> Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> In my apache error log, it says I have this error This is not all of it, but I've got the most important part: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/.python-eggs' [Thu Mar 03 14:59:25 2011] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] [Thu Mar 03 14:59:25 2011] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] The Python egg cache directory is currently set to: [Thu Mar 03 14:59:25 2011] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] [Thu Mar 03 14:59:25 2011] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] /.python-eggs [Thu Mar 03 14:59:25 2011] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] [Thu Mar 03 14:59:25 2011] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] Perhaps your account does not have write access to this directory? • How to recover from failed Mysql schema update, with replication?

    - by OmerGertel
    I have two MySQL servers configured with master-slave replication. Before we deploy a new application version we: 1) STOP SLAVE 2) Take a MySQL dump of the slave. However, if a mistake is done during the deployment of the new schema version (a table is dropped by mistake, for example), having the slave intact doesn't help. Our service is write-intensive, so we can't turn it back up until we have a master working. If we now load the mysql dump back into the master, it will take a long time during which our service remains down. What is the best-practice to recover from such a mistake? How can I setup the system so I can easily promote the slave, turn on our service and only then tend to the broken database? Mainly, I'm worried with re-syncing the slave and the master after changes are done on the slave.

  • Ruby on Rails cannot find Initializer?

    - by Ryan M.
    Hello, I am trying to deploy an app to a fresh Ubuntu 10 installation using Passenger 2.2.15, Rails 2.3.5, Ruby 1.8.7, and Apache 2.2.14. However, even with a default rails app (sudo rails defaultapp), I am receiving the following error: "no such file to load -- initializer". I'm not sure which files you might need copies of in order to diagnose this problem, so I'll copy a few here and hope that it will help. • All virtualhosts serving Apache default files

    - by tj111
    I'm trying to configure Apache as an in-network webserver, and am using the sites-available/sites-enabled feature as opposed to just static vhost files. I set up a couple VirtualHosts, all with a unique DocumentRoot, however request for all the VirtualHosts just serve up the "It's Working!" default file. I can't for the life of me figure out why it won't serve the content out of the correct directory. Here's the contents of the virtualhost directive files, let me know if I need to post more. default (note that apache renames this to 000-default in sites-enabled, so it's not an ordering issue) NameVirtualHost *:80 ServerName emp <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost ServerName emp DocumentRoot /var/www <Directory /> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None </Directory> <Directory /var/www/> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride None Order allow,deny allow from all </Directory> ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ /usr/lib/cgi-bin/ <Directory "/usr/lib/cgi-bin"> AllowOverride None Options +ExecCGI -MultiViews +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> ErrorLog /var/log/apache2/error.log # Possible values include: debug, info, notice, warn, error, crit, # alert, emerg. My ultimate goal is to set up this machine as an in-house webserver with a custom tld (emp), but progress has been pretty slow.

  • Use of backreferences in fail2ban filters possible?

    - by Izzy
    From time to time, I see collections of suspect "File not found" errors in my Apache logs, basically using the pattern File does not exist: /var/www/file, referer: http://my.server.com/file In human terms: The file was not found, though it referenced here itself. A clear hacking attempt, as that's hardly possible (and the REQUEST_URIs often enough suggest the same). In my eyes a clear case for fail2ban – if I could get backreferences to work here: failregex = ^%(_apache_error_client)s File does not exist: /var/www(.+), referer: http://.+\1$ (Justin Case: above examples assume the DIRECTORY_ROOT of that webserver being /var/www) I googled for hours, searched the fail2ban wiki up and down – but nowhere I could find a statement concerning backreferences in its filters. Are they not supported, or did I do it the wrong way? Any hints how to make it work (except from "dirty hacks" like first sending the request to another fake url using mod-rewrite, and then catching on that (if anyone is interested, I can elaborate on that approach in an answer), or doing something similar using mod-security)? as an entire log line was requested: [Fri Nov 08 14:57:28 2013] [error] [client 50.67.234.213] File does not exist: /var/www/text/files.htm++++++++++++++++++++++++++Result:+using+proxy+27.34.142.47:9090;+no+post+sending+forms+are+found;, referer: http://www.myserver.com/text/files.htm++++++++++++++++++++++++++Result:+using+proxy+27.34.142.47:9090;+no+post+sending+forms+are+found; (sorry, logs were just switched, so this long candidate was the only one left currently; minor adjustments were made for privacy reasons)

  • PHP displays blank white page even with all error reporting enabled

    - by Andy Shinn
    I am trying to debug a broken page in a Drupal application and am having a hard time getting PHP to spit anything useful out. I have the following set: error_reporting = E_ALL display_errors = On display_startup_errors = On log_errors = On error_log = /var/log/php/php_error.log I have a file showing me phpinfo() which confirms these variables are set correctly for the environment. I have increased memory_limit to 256M (which should be more than enough). Yet, the only indication I get is a status 500 code in the apache access log and a blank white page from PHP. The Apache virtual host has LogLevel set to debug and the error log only outputs: [Sat Jun 16 20:03:03 2012] [debug] mod_deflate.c(615): [client 173.8.175.217] Zlib: Compressed 0 to 2 : URL /index.php, referer: http://ec2-174-129-192-237.compute-1.amazonaws.com/admin/reports/updates [Sat Jun 16 20:03:03 2012] [error] [client 173.8.175.217] File does not exist: /var/www/favicon.ico [Sat Jun 16 20:03:03 2012] [debug] mod_deflate.c(615): [client 173.8.175.217] Zlib: Compressed 42 to 44 : URL /favicon.ico The PHP error log outputs nothing at all. kernel and syslog show nothing related to Apache or PHP. I have also tried installing suphp and checking its log just confirms the user is executing correctly: [Sat Jun 16 20:02:59 2012] [info] Executing "/var/www/index.php" as UID 1000, GID 1000 [Sat Jun 16 20:05:03 2012] [info] Executing "/var/www/index.php" as UID 1000, GID 1000 This is on Ubuntu 12.04 x86_64 with the following PHP modules: ii php5 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.1 server-side, HTML-embedded scripting language (metapackage) ii php5-cgi 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.1 server-side, HTML-embedded scripting language (CGI binary) ii php5-cli 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.1 command-line interpreter for the php5 scripting language ii php5-common 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.1 Common files for packages built from the php5 source ii php5-curl 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.1 CURL module for php5 ii php5-gd 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.1 GD module for php5 ii php5-mysql 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.1 MySQL module for php5 So, what am I missing here? • Immediate logout after login with PAM, Kerberos, and LDAP

    - by Dylan Klomparens
    I've set up remote login on a computer using Kerberos and LDAP. I've also configured NFS to mount onto /home so that the user's home directory is the same wherever they login. Kerberos authentication seems to work fine. I can get a ticket using kinit user1 (assuming user1 is a remote user) and see the ticket with klist. I'm pretty sure LDAP is working because I see the proper output from getent passwd, which lists all the remote users. The contents of /home are present when I list the files. The problem is: when I try to login as a remote user the session is immediately ended. Why is it not letting me stay logged in? Here is the output from /var/log/messages after a login attempt: # /var/log/messages: Oct 9 10:57:53 tophat login[6472]: pam_krb5[6472]: authentication succeeds for 'user1' ([email protected]) Oct 9 10:57:53 tophat login[6472]: pam_krb5[6472]: pam_setcred (establish credential) called Oct 9 10:57:53 tophat login[6472]: pam_krb5[6472]: pam_setcred (delete credential) called EDIT: The distro is openSUSE. • Apache2 Re-Routing from Domain Name to Internal IP Address

  • Nginx + PHP-FPM Too Many Resources

    - by user3393046
    My Server has the following Specs CPU: 6 Cores Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650 v2 @ 2.60GHz RAM: 32 GB I have a problem with nginx+php-fpm. They are taking too many resources for an unknown reason. Even if i restart the nginx + php-fpm the start up processes will use many resources. My nginx Config is the following: user nginx; worker_processes auto; error_log /var/log/nginx/error.log warn; pid /var/run/nginx.pid; worker_rlimit_nofile 300000; events { worker_connections 6000; use epoll; } http { include /etc/nginx/mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; log_format main '$remote_addr - $remote_user [$time_local] "$request" ' '$status $body_bytes_sent "$http_referer" ' '"$http_user_agent" "$http_x_forwarded_for"'; access_log /var/log/nginx/access.log main; sendfile on; #tcp_nopush on; keepalive_timeout 65; #gzip on; include /etc/nginx/conf.d/*.conf; } My php-fpm pool config is the following [www] user = nginx group = nginx listen = /var/run/php5-fpm.sock listen.owner = nginx listen.group = nginx listen.allowed_clients = 127.0.0.1 pm = ondemand pm.max_children = 1500; pm.process_idle_timeout = 5; chdir = / security.limit_extensions = .php I'm using on pm.ondemand since my website has to support many concurrent connections at the same time and i was unable to to it with dynamic/static. I guess this isnt the problem because as i said earlier when i restart nginx+php-fpm at the same time, they are taking too much resources without any request. Here is the screenshot with the CPU Usage http://s28.postimg.org/v54q25zod/Untitled.png

  • Apache Mod SVN Access Forbidden

    - by Cerin
    How do you resolve the error svn: access to '/repos/!svn/vcc/default' forbidden? I recently upgraded a Fedora 13 server to 16, and now I'm trying to debug an access error with a Subversion server running on using Apache with mod_dav_svn. Running: svn ls http://myserver/repos/myproject/trunk Lists the correct files. But when I go to commit, I get the error: svn: access to '/repos/!svn/vcc/default' forbidden My Apache virtualhost for svn is: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName svn.mydomain.com ServerAlias svn DocumentRoot "/var/www/html" <Directory /> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None </Directory> <Directory "/var/www/html"> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> <Location /repos> Order allow,deny Allow from all DAV svn SVNPath /var/svn/repos SVNAutoversioning On # Authenticate with Kerberos AuthType Kerberos AuthName "Subversion Repository" KrbAuthRealms mydomain.com Krb5KeyTab /etc/httpd/conf/krb5.HTTP.keytab # Get people from LDAP AuthLDAPUrl ldap://ldap.mydomain.com/ou=people,dc=mydomain,dc=corp?uid # For any operations other than these, require an authenticated user. <LimitExcept GET PROPFIND OPTIONS REPORT> Require valid-user </LimitExcept> </Location> </VirtualHost> What's causing this error? EDIT: In my /var/log/httpd/error_log I'm seeing a lot of these: [Fri Jun 22 13:22:51 2012] [error] [client 10.157.10.144] ModSecurity: Warning. Operator LT matched 20 at TX:inbound_anomaly_score. How do I change this?

  • Why is this setting for Name-based Virtual Host settings not working?

    - by Kave
    I have two domains (siteA.com & SiteB.com) that point to the same webserver and I would like to show different web pages for each. The steps I have taken so far are: Copy the default site (siteA) to siteB 1) sudo cp /etc/apache2/sites-available/default /etc/apache2/sites-available/siteB 2) sudo vim /etc/apache2/sites-available/siteB <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin [email protected] DocumentRoot /var/www/siteB <Directory /> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None </Directory> <Directory /var/www/siteB> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride FileInfo Indexes Order allow,deny allow from all </Directory> </VirtualHost *:80> Then I created under /var/www/siteB and created a sample index.html in there. However when I load my domain siteB.com I still get directed to /var/www/siteA. Why is that? Do I have to rename the /etc/apache2/sites-available/default to /etc/apache2/sites-available/siteA as well? UPDATE: Thanks to the answer below it seems I had forgotten next to enabling the site also another entry: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin [email protected] ServerName siteB.com ServerAlias www.siteB.com </VirtualHost *:80> in order to include all subdomains as well then do: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin [email protected] ServerName siteB.com ServerAlias *.siteB.com </VirtualHost *:80> Same goes for siteA.

  • bind would not work unless allow-query is "any"

    I have this in /etc/named.conf, I commented the default values and set my own under it. My domain would not load in browser unless I set allow-query to "any", is this OK, what should I edit? If is localhost or 127.0.0.1; 10.0.1.0/24; domain would not load. I tried the 127.. thing because it mentioned it here: http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/Testing:Bind Bind version is 9.7.0-P2-RedHat-9.7.0-5.P2.el6_0.1 OS is CentOS 6.0. options { // listen-on port 53 { 127.0.0.1; }; listen-on port 53 { any; }; //listen-on-v6 port 53 { ::1; }; listen-on-v6 port 53 { any; }; directory "/var/named"; dump-file "/var/named/data/cache_dump.db"; statistics-file "/var/named/data/named_stats.txt"; memstatistics-file "/var/named/data/named_mem_stats.txt"; //allow-query { localhost; }; allow-query { any; }; recursion yes; dnssec-enable yes; dnssec-validation yes; dnssec-lookaside auto; /* Path to ISC DLV key */ bindkeys-file "/etc/named.iscdlv.key"; };

  • lighttpd: why using port >= 9000 does not work properly

    - by yejinxin
    I had a lighttpd server which works normally. I can access this website from outside(non-localhost) via http://vm.aaa.com:8080. Let's just assume that it's a simple static website, without php or mysql. Now I want to copy this website as a test one(using another port) in the same machine. And I do not want to use virtual host. So I just copy the whole files of original server, including lighttpd's bin/ conf/ htdocs/ lib/ and so on folders. And I made some required change, including changing lighttpd.conf. Now what I'm confused is, if change the port to a number that is less than 9000, it works perfectly. But if the port is changed to a number that is equal or greater than 9000, lighttpd can start, but I can not access the new website from outside, while I do can access the new website from INSIDE(I mean in the same LAN or localhost). The access log from INSIDE is like below: vm.aaa.com:9876 10.46.175.117 - - [08/Oct/2012:13:18:47 +0800] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 15 "-" " curl/7.12.1 (x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.12.1 OpenSSL/0.9.7a zlib/1.2.1.2 libidn/0.5.6" Command I used to start lighttpd is: bin/lighttpd -f conf/lighttpd.conf -m lib/ -D My lighttpd.conf is like: server.modules = ( "mod_access", "mod_accesslog", ) var.rundir = "/home/work/lighttpd_9876" server.port = 9876 server.bind = "0.0.0.0" server.pid-file = var.rundir + "/log/lighttpd.pid" server.document-root = var.rundir + "/htdocs/" var.cronolog_path = "/home/work/lighttpd_9876/cronolog/sbin/cronolog" server.errorlog = ... accesslog.filename = ... ... So why is this happening? I've tried several diffrent ports, still the same. Isn't that ports between 8000 and 65535 are the same?

  • Nginx/puma rhel unix socket permission error?

    - by Kevin Brown
    When I try to start my puma server, I get the error: /.rvm/gems/ruby-2.1.1/gems/puma-2.9.0/lib/puma/binder.rb:275:in `initialize': Permission denied - connect(2) for "/var/run/nvhbase.sock" (Errno::EACCES) My sites-available/nvhbase.conf file: upstream nvhbase { server unix:/var/run/nvhbase.sock; } server { listen 80 default_server; server_name 207.131.132.219; root /home/vf032500/dev/nvh/public; location / { proxy_pass http://unix:/var/run/nvhbase.sock; proxy_http_version 1.1; proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade; proxy_set_header Connection $connection_upgrade; proxy_set_header Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Proto https; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_redirect off; } } I don't know a lot about unix sockets and everything works fine using tcp/puma default. My rails app is in my user directory. Is that the problem?? socket is starting in /var/run--I can start in /tmp, but I've heard that's bad practice? Provided I start the server in /tmp, I then can't access it via the server's ip--then what? I'm happy to provide any needed info, I just don't know a whole lot about server/nginx/puma.

  • How to use basic auth for single file in otherwise forbidden Apache directory?

    - by mit
    I want to allow access to a single file in a directory that is otherwise forbidden. This did not work: <VirtualHost 10.10.10.10:80> ServerName example.com DocumentRoot /var/www/html <Directory /var/www/html> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None order allow,deny allow from all </Directory> # disallow the admin directory: <Directory /var/www/html/admin> order allow,deny deny from all </Directory> # but allow this single file:: <Files /var/www/html/admin/allowed.php> AuthType basic AuthName "private area" AuthUserFile /home/webroot/.htusers Require user admin1 </Files> ... </VirtualHost> When I visit http://example.com/admin/allowed.php I get the Forbidden message of the http://example.com/admin/ directory. How can I make an exception for allowed.php? If not possible, maybe I could enumerate all forbidden files in another Files directive? Let's say admin/ contains also user.php and admin.php which should be forbidden in this virtual host.

  • Why is .htaccess not allowed in a directory but is allowed in another?

    - by John Isaacks
    I have apache2 installed on ubuntu 10.4 inside my var/www/ directory [amung others] I have a cakephp and a dvdcatalog directories. Each of which have CakePHP 1.3 installed. I can access them both via localhost/cakephp and localhost/dvdcatalog But the dvdcatalog shows up with no css styling. They both have these files: /var/www/cakephp/app/webroot/css/cake.generic.css /var/www/dvdcatalog/app/webroot/css/cake.generic.css But when I go to http://localhost/cakephp/css/cake.generic.css it sees the file but it does not see the file when I go to http://localhost/dvdcatalog/css/cake.generic.css I think this means the cakephp folder is able to use .htaccess and the dvdcatalog is not. I setup the cakephp directory last month when I was following in the blog tutorial. I am setting up the dvdcatalog directory now for a different tutorial. So I am not sure if I am missing a step. in my /etc/apache2/apache2.conf file I have this: <Directory "/var/www/*"> Order allow,deny Allow from all AllowOverride All </Directory> Which I thought gave .htaccesss to all. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem is?

  • Optimal way to make MySQL backups for fairly large databases (MyISAM / InnoDB)

    - by WinkyWolly
    Currently we have one beefy MySQL database that runs a couple of high traffic Django based websites as well as some e-commerce websites of decent size. As a result we have a fair amount of large databases using both InnoDB and MyISAM tables. Unfortunately we've recently hit a wall due to the amount of traffic so I've setup another master server to help alleviate reads / backups. Now at the moment I simply use mysqldump with a few arguments and it's proven to be fine.. until now. Obviously mysqldump is a slow quick method however I believe we've outgrown its use. I now need a good alternative and have been looking into utilizing Maatkits mk-parallel-dump utility or an LVM snapshot solution. Succinct short version: I have a fairly large MySQL databases I need to backup Current method using mysqldump is inefficient and slow (causing issues) Looking into something such as mk-parallel-dump or LVM snapshots Any recommendations or ideas would be appreciated - since I have to re-do how we're doing things I rather have it done properly / most efficient :).

  • Apache2 default vhost in alphabetical order or override with _default_ vhost?

    - by benbradley
    I've got multiple named vhosts on an Apache web server (CentOS 5, Apache 2.2.3). Each vhost has their own config file in /etc/httpd/vhosts.d and these vhost config files are included from the main httpd conf with... Include vhosts.d/*.conf Here's an example of one of the vhost confs... NameVirtualHost *:80 <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName www.domain.biz ServerAlias domain.biz www.domain.biz DocumentRoot /var/www/www.domain.biz <Directory /var/www/www.domain.biz> Options +FollowSymLinks Order Allow,Deny Allow from all </Directory> CustomLog /var/log/httpd/www.domain.biz_access.log combined ErrorLog /var/log/httpd/www.domain.biz_error.log </VirtualHost> Now I when anyone tries to access the server directly by using the public IP address, they get the first vhost specified in the aggregated config (so in my case it's alphabetical order from the vhosts.d directory). Anyone accessing the server directly by IP address, I'd like them to just get an 403 or a 404. I've discovered several ways to set a default/catch-all vhost and some conflicting opinions. I could create a new vhost conf in vhosts.d called 000aaadefault.conf or something but that feels a bit nasty. I could have a <VirtualHost> block in my main httpd.conf before the vhosts.d directory is included. I could just specify a DocumentRoot in my main httpd.conf What about specifying a default vhost in httpd.conf with _default_ http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/vhosts/examples.html#default Would having a <VirtualHost _default_:*> block in my httpd.conf before I Include vhosts.d/*.conf be the best way for a catch-all?

  • MS Outlook Voting mismatch

    - by Robert Ilbrink
    I did send out an Outlook vote to hundreds of employees, using their email address (which is mostly [email protected], but there are many exceptions). The incoming votes are not matched against the email address, but against the display name. Unfortunately, the display name has no real standard either. So instead of seeing this: [email protected] Voted: Yes [email protected] Voted: No I see this: [email protected] [email protected] Doe, Johnathan Philip Voted: Yes Doe - Peeters, Marian Voted: No In the actual list I see the addresses that I sent the vote to PLUS extra lines with the votes that came back. Is there a quick way to match my "send" list with the "received" list? One thing I thought of was to dump the global address book in a file and in Excel use =vlookup. But that seems a lot of work (and I am not even sure that I have the authorization to dump the address book).
