  • Problem with NHibernate

    - by Bernard Larouche
    I am trying to get a list of Products that share the Category. NHibernate returns no product which is wrong. Here is my Criteria API method : public IList<Product> GetProductForCategory(string name) { return _session.CreateCriteria(typeof(Product)) .CreateCriteria("Categories") .Add(Restrictions.Eq("Name", name)) .List<Product>(); } Here is my HQL method : public IList<Product> GetProductForCategory(string name) { return _session.CreateQuery("select from Product p, p.Categories.elements c where c.Name = :name").SetString("name",name).List<Product>(); } Both methods return no product when they should return 2 products. Here is the Mapping for the Product class : <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <hibernate-mapping xmlns="urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2" assembly="CBL.CoderForTraders.DomainModel" namespace="CBL.CoderForTraders.DomainModel"> <class name="Product" table="Products" > <id name="_persistenceId" column="ProductId" type="Guid" access="field" unsaved-value="00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000"> <generator class="assigned" /> </id> <version name="_persistenceVersion" column="RowVersion" access="field" type="int" unsaved-value="0" /> <property name="Name" column="ProductName" type="String" not-null="true"/> <property name="Price" column="BasePrice" type="Decimal" not-null="true" /> <property name="IsTaxable" column="IsTaxable" type="Boolean" not-null="true" /> <property name="DefaultImage" column="DefaultImageFile" type="String"/> <bag name="Descriptors" table="ProductDescriptors"> <key column="ProductId" foreign-key="FK_Product_Descriptors"/> <one-to-many class="Descriptor"/> </bag> <bag name="Categories" table="Categories_Products" > <key column="ProductId" foreign-key="FK_Products_Categories"/> <many-to-many class="Category" column="CategoryId"></many-to-many> </bag> <bag name="Orders" generic="true" table="OrderProduct" > <key column="ProductId" foreign-key="FK_Products_Orders"/> <many-to-many column="OrderId" class="Order" /> </bag> </class> </hibernate-mapping> And finally the mapping for the Category class : <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <hibernate-mapping xmlns="urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2" assembly="CBL.CoderForTraders.DomainModel" namespace="CBL.CoderForTraders.DomainModel" default-access="field.camelcase-underscore" default-lazy="true"> <class name="Category" table="Categories" > <id name="_persistenceId" column="CategoryId" type="Guid" access="field" unsaved-value="00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000"> <generator class="assigned" /> </id> <version name="_persistenceVersion" column="RowVersion" access="field" type="int" unsaved-value="0" /> <property name="Name" column="Name" type="String" not-null="true"/> <property name="IsDefault" column="IsDefault" type="Boolean" not-null="true" /> <property name="Description" column="Description" type="String" not-null="true" /> <many-to-one name="Parent" column="ParentID"></many-to-one> <bag name="SubCategories" inverse="true"> <key column="ParentID" foreign-key="FK_Category_ParentCategory" /> <one-to-many class="Category"/> </bag> <bag name="Products" table="Categories_Products"> <key column="CategoryId" foreign-key="FK_Categories_Products" /> <many-to-many column="ProductId" class="Product"></many-to-many> </bag> </class> </hibernate-mapping> Can you see what could be the problem ?

  • How do you make a character jump, both on objects and just normal jump?

    - by haxerflaxer
    Hi, I'm kind of a beginner when it comes to java programming, and I have a project in school where I'm going to create a game much like Icy Tower. And my question is, how am I going to write to make the character stand on the ground and be able to jump up on objects? Here's my code so far: Part one package Sprites; import java.awt.Image; import java.awt.event.KeyEvent; import javax.swing.ImageIcon; public class jumper { private String jump = "oka.png"; private int dx; private int dy; private int x; private int y; private Image image; public jumper() { ImageIcon ii = new ImageIcon(this.getClass().getResource(jump)); image = ii.getImage(); x = 50; y = 100; } public void move() { x += dx; y += dy; } public int getX() { return x; } public int getY() { return y; } public Image getImage() { return image; } public void keyPressed(KeyEvent e) { int key = e.getKeyCode(); if (key == KeyEvent.VK_LEFT) { dx = -5; ImageIcon ii = new ImageIcon(this.getClass().getResource("oki.png")); image = ii.getImage(); } if (key == KeyEvent.VK_RIGHT){ dx = 5; ImageIcon ii = new ImageIcon(this.getClass().getResource("oka.png")); image = ii.getImage(); } if (key == KeyEvent.VK_SPACE) { dy = -5; } if (key == KeyEvent.VK_DOWN) { dy = 5; } } public void keyReleased(KeyEvent e) { int key = e.getKeyCode(); if (key == KeyEvent.VK_LEFT) { dx = 0; } if (key == KeyEvent.VK_RIGHT){ dx = 0; } if (key == KeyEvent.VK_SPACE) { dy = 0; } if (key == KeyEvent.VK_DOWN) { dy = 0; } } } Part two package Sprites; import java.awt.Color; import java.awt.Graphics; import java.awt.Graphics2D; import java.awt.Toolkit; import java.awt.event.ActionEvent; import java.awt.event.ActionListener; import java.awt.event.KeyAdapter; import java.awt.event.KeyEvent; import javax.swing.JPanel; import javax.swing.Timer; public class board extends JPanel implements ActionListener { private Timer klocka; private jumper jumper; public board() { addKeyListener(new TAdapter()); setFocusable(true); setBackground(Color.WHITE); setDoubleBuffered(true); jumper = new jumper(); klocka = new Timer(5, this); klocka.start(); } public void paint(Graphics g) { super.paint(g); Graphics2D g2d = (Graphics2D)g; g2d.drawImage(jumper.getImage(), jumper.getX(), jumper.getY(), this); Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().sync(); g.dispose(); } public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) { jumper.move(); repaint(); } private class TAdapter extends KeyAdapter { public void keyReleased(KeyEvent e) { jumper.keyReleased(e); } public void keyPressed(KeyEvent e) { jumper.keyPressed(e); } } } Part three package Sprites; import javax.swing.JFrame; public class RType extends JFrame { public RType() { add(new board()); setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); setSize(800, 600); setLocationRelativeTo(null); setTitle("R - type"); setResizable(false); setVisible(true); } public static void main(String[] args) { new RType(); } } I really appreciate all the help I can get!

  • Javascript style objects in Objective-C

    - by awolf
Background: I use a ton of NSDictionary objects in my iPhone and iPad code. I'm sick of the verbose way of getting/setting keys to these state dictionaries. So a little bit of an experiment: I just created a class I call Remap. Remap will take any arbitrary set[VariableName]:(NSObject *) obj selector and forward that message to a function that will insert obj into an internal NSMutableDictionary under the key [vairableName]. Remap will also take any (zero argument) arbitrary [variableName] selector and return the NSObject mapped in the NSMutableDictionary under the key [variableName]. e.g. Remap * remap = [[Remap alloc] init]; NSNumber * testNumber = [NSNumber numberWithInt:46]; [remap setTestNumber:testNumber]; testNumber = [remap testNumber]; [remap setTestString:@"test string"]; NSString * testString = [remap testString]; NSMutableDictionary * testDict = [NSMutableDictionary dictionaryWithObject:testNumber forKey:@"testNumber"]; [remap setTestDict:testDict]; testDict = [remap testDict]; where none of the properties testNumber, testString, or testDict are actually defined in Remap. The crazy thing? It works... My only question is how can I disable the "may not respond to " warnings for JUST accesses to Remap? P.S. : I'll probably end up scrapping this and going with macros since message forwarding is quite inefficient... but aside from that does anyone see other problems with Remap? Here's Remap's .m for those who are curious: #import "Remap.h" @interface Remap () @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableDictionary * _data; @end @implementation Remap @synthesize _data; - (void) dealloc { relnil(_data); [super dealloc]; } - (id) init { self = [super init]; if (self != nil) { NSMutableDictionary * dict = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; [self set_data:dict]; relnil(dict); } return self; } - (void)forwardInvocation:(NSInvocation *)anInvocation { NSString * selectorName = [NSString stringWithUTF8String: sel_getName([anInvocation selector])]; NSRange range = [selectorName rangeOfString:@"set"]; NSInteger numArguments = [[anInvocation methodSignature] numberOfArguments]; if (range.location == 0 && numArguments == 4) { //setter [anInvocation setSelector:@selector(setData:withKey:)]; [anInvocation setArgument:&selectorName atIndex:3]; [anInvocation invokeWithTarget:self]; } else if (numArguments == 3) { [anInvocation setSelector:@selector(getDataWithKey:)]; [anInvocation setArgument:&selectorName atIndex:2]; [anInvocation invokeWithTarget:self]; } } - (NSMethodSignature *) methodSignatureForSelector:(SEL) aSelector { NSString * selectorName = [NSString stringWithUTF8String: sel_getName(aSelector)]; NSMethodSignature * sig = [super methodSignatureForSelector:aSelector]; if (sig == nil) { NSRange range = [selectorName rangeOfString:@"set"]; if (range.location == 0) { sig = [self methodSignatureForSelector:@selector(setData:withKey:)]; } else { sig = [self methodSignatureForSelector:@selector(getDataWithKey:)]; } } return sig; } - (NSObject *) getDataWithKey: (NSString *) key { NSObject * returnValue = [[self _data] objectForKey:key]; return returnValue; } - (void) setData: (NSObject *) data withKey:(NSString *)key { if (key && [key length] >= 5 && data) { NSRange range; range.length = 1; range.location = 3; NSString * firstChar = [key substringWithRange:range]; firstChar = [firstChar lowercaseString]; range.length = [key length] - 5; // the 4 we have processed plus the training : range.location = 4; NSString * adjustedKey = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@%@", firstChar, [key substringWithRange:range]]; [[self _data] setObject:data forKey:adjustedKey]; } else { //assert? } } @end

  • Problems configuring nameserver in plesk

    - by Saif Bechan
Hello, i have some troubles with setting up a nameserver in PLESK for months now. I have tried all possible scenario's but i can not get this to work. I am really in need for some help, and if you can i will really appreciate it. Basically what i want is to just set up a nameserver in PLESK. I have a primary IP, and my host gave me a secondary nameserver i can use. My host is leaseweb in the netherlands. I have made some screenshots of the important parts in my opinion, maybe you guys can see some errors in them. To use the secondary nameserver provided by leaseweb i had to enable ACL on that account, i did so and made a screenshot of that too. The DNS recursion is set to localnets. These settings have not changed for months, so the dns should be fully updated everywhere. The check i run is the following: https://www.sidn.nl/over-nl/aanvraag...-server-check/ Domeinnaam (inclusief .nl): rdshosting.nl Eerste Nameserver: ns1.rdshosting.nl Eerste IP: 62.212.66.33 Tweede Nameserver: ns7.leaseweb.net Tweede ip: 62.212.76.50 If i run the dns check of the netherlands it gives me the following errors: primary name server "ns1.rdshosting.nl." Error: specified name server is not listed as NS record. All public name servers for a domain must also be listed as NS records in the zone of the domain. This domain was specified explicitly as a name server, but not found in the zone description of the primary name server. TE.6a rdshosting.nl. 86400 IN SOA ns1.rdspartners.nl. saif2k.hotmail.com. This will make you // benefit from its cache, thus reduce overall DNS traffic in the Internet. /* forwarders { 127.0.0.1; }; */ /* * If there is a firewall between you and nameservers you want * to talk to, you might need to uncomment the query-source * directive below. It can be convenient to become // a secondary at least for the zone where your own domain is in. Ask // your network administrator for the IP address of the responsible // primary. // // Never forget to include the reverse lookup (IN-ADDR.ARPA) zone! // (This is the first bytes of the respective IP address, in reverse // order, with ".IN-ADDR.ARPA" appended.) // // Before starting to setup a primary zone, better make sure you fully // understand how DNS and BIND works, however. There are sometimes // unobvious pitfalls. Setting up a secondary is comparably simpler. // // NB: Don't blindly enable the examples below. :-) Use actual names // and addresses instead. // // NOTE!!! FreeBSD runs bind in a sandbox (see named_flags in rc.conf). // The directory containing the secondary zones must be write accessible // to bind. The following sequence is suggested: // // mkdir /etc/namedb/s // chown bind.bind /etc/namedb/s // chmod 750 /etc/namedb/s zone "rdshosting.nl" { type master; file "rdshosting.nl"; allow-transfer { 77.232.85.129; 62.212.76.50; common-allow-transfer; }; }; zone "66.212.62.in-addr.arpa" { type master; file "66.212.62.in-addr.arpa"; allow-transfer { common-allow-transfer; }; }; acl common-allow-transfer { 62.212.76.50; }; As i mentioned i made some screenshots of some parts: First the dns settings in plesk: http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/2480faed5e.jpg Second the acl settings in plesk: http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/777f5e69b0.jpg Third my settings at leaseweb: http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/de7122b19c.jpg And last the secondary nameserver settings from leaseweb: http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/fd1da38a8f.jpg If someone has anysuggestion at all on this this will be highly appriciated. Thank you for your time! PS. I am dutch so dutch answers are welcome aswell

  • Even if GridView.DataKeyNames is set, Gridview.DataKeys[] is still empty

    - by JustTryingToLearn
hi GridView.DataKeynames stores the names of the primary key fields for the items displayed in a GridView control. 1) Even though I’ve set DataKeyNames, GridView still doesn’t store record’s primary key value(s) in DataKey object: protected void SqlDataSource1_Selected(object sender, SqlDataSourceStatusEventArgs e) { Label2.Text = GridView2.DataKeys[0].Value.ToString();//exception } Why not? 2) I assume when DataKeyNames is set, DataKey object stores both original and new values of a primary key ( assuming we issued an update command ) and when the update is finished, DataKey object discards the original value(s)? Thank you

  • Complex Query on cassandra

    - by Sadiqur Rahman
I have heard on cassandra database engine few days ago and searching for a good documentation on it. after studying on cassandra I got cassandra is more scalable than other data engine. I also read on Amazon SimpleDB but as SimpleDB has a limitation 10GB/table and Google Datastore is slower than Amazon SimpleDB, I prefer not to use them (Google Datastore, Amazon SimpleDB). So for making our site scaled specially high write rates with massive data, I like to use Cassandra as our Data Engine. But before starting using cassandra I am confused on "How to handle complex data using casssandra". I am giving you the MySQL database structure below, Please read this and give me a good suggestion. Users Table hasColum ID Primary hasColum email Unique hasColum FirstName hasColum LastName Category Table hasColum ID Primary hasColum Parent hasColum Category Posts Table hasColum ID Primary hasColum UID Index foreign key linked to users-ID hasColum CID Index foreign key linked to Category-ID hasColum Title hasColum Post Index hasColum PunDate Comments hasColum ID primary hasColum UID Index foreign key linked to users-ID hasColum PID Index foreign key linked to Posts-ID hasColum Comment User Group hasColum ID primary hasColum Name UserToGroup Table (for many to many relation only) hasColum UID foreign key linked to Users-ID hasColum GID foreign key linked to Group-ID Finally for your information, I like to use SimpleCassie PHP Class http://code.google.com/p/simpletools-php/ So, it will be very helpful if you can give me example using SimpleCassie

  • Cannot create a row of size 8074 which is greater than the allowable maximum row size of 8060.

    - by Lieven Cardoen
I have already asked a question about this, but the problems keeps on hitting me ;-) I have two tables that are identical. I want to add a xml column. In the first table this is no problem, but in the second table I get the sqlException (title). However, apart from the data in it, they are the same. So, can I get the sqlException because of data in the table? I have also tried to store the field off page with EXEC sp_tableoption 'dbo.PackageSessionNodesFinished', 'large value types out of row', 1 but without any succes. The same SqlException keeps coming. First table: PackageSessionNodes CREATE TABLE [dbo].[PackageSessionNodes]( [PackageSessionNodeId] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL, [PackageSessionId] [int] NOT NULL, [TreeNodeId] [int] NOT NULL, [Duration] [int] NULL, [Score] [float] NOT NULL, [ScoreMax] [float] NOT NULL, [Interactions] [xml] NOT NULL, [BrainTeaser] [bit] NULL, [DateCreated] [datetime] NULL, [CompletionStatus] [int] NOT NULL, [ReducedScore] [float] NOT NULL, [ReducedScoreMax] [float] NOT NULL, [ContentInteractions] [xml] NOT NULL, CONSTRAINT [PK_PackageSessionNodes] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED ( [PackageSessionNodeId] ASC )WITH (PAD_INDEX = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE = OFF, IGNORE_DUP_KEY = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS = ON) ON [PRIMARY] ) ON [PRIMARY] Second table: PackageSessionNodesFinished CREATE TABLE [dbo].[PackageSessionNodesFinished]( [PackageSessionNodeFinishedId] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL, [PackageSessionId] [int] NOT NULL, [TreeNodeId] [int] NOT NULL, [Duration] [int] NULL, [Score] [float] NOT NULL, [ScoreMax] [float] NOT NULL, [Interactions] [xml] NOT NULL, [BrainTeaser] [bit] NULL, [DateCreated] [datetime] NULL, [CompletionStatus] [int] NOT NULL, [ReducedScore] [float] NOT NULL, [ReducedScoreMax] [float] NOT NULL, [ContentInteractions] [xml] NULL, CONSTRAINT [PK_PackageSessionNodesFinished] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED ( [PackageSessionNodeFinishedId] ASC )WITH (PAD_INDEX = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE = OFF, IGNORE_DUP_KEY = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS = ON) ON [PRIMARY] ) ON [PRIMARY] First script I tried to run (First two ALTER TABLE work fine, the third crashes on SqlException) ALTER TABLE dbo.PackageSessionNodes ADD ContentInteractions xml NOT NULL CONSTRAINT DF_PackageSessionNodes_ContentInteractions DEFAULT (('<contentinteractions/>')); ALTER TABLE dbo.PackageSessionNodes DROP CONSTRAINT DF_PackageSessionNodes_ContentInteractions ALTER TABLE dbo.PackageSessionNodesFinished ADD ContentInteractions xml NOT NULL CONSTRAINT DF_PackageSessionNodesFinished_ContentInteractions DEFAULT (('<contentinteractions/>')); ALTER TABLE dbo.PackageSessionNodesFinished DROP CONSTRAINT DF_PackageSessionNodesFinished_ContentInteractions Second script I tried to run with the same result as previous script: EXEC sp_tableoption 'dbo.PackageSessionNodes', 'large value types out of row', 1 ALTER TABLE dbo.PackageSessionNodes ADD ContentInteractions xml NOT NULL CONSTRAINT DF_PackageSessionNodes_ContentInteractions DEFAULT (('<contentinteractions/>')); ALTER TABLE dbo.PackageSessionNodes DROP CONSTRAINT DF_PackageSessionNodes_ContentInteractions EXEC sp_tableoption 'dbo.PackageSessionNodesFinished', 'large value types out of row', 1 ALTER TABLE dbo.PackageSessionNodesFinished ADD ContentInteractions xml NOT NULL CONSTRAINT DF_PackageSessionNodesFinished_ContentInteractions DEFAULT (('<contentinteractions/>')); ALTER TABLE dbo.PackageSessionNodesFinished DROP CONSTRAINT DF_PackageSessionNodesFinished_ContentInteractions Now, In PackageSessionNodes there are 234 records, in PackageSessionNodesFinished there are 4256946 records. Really would appreciate some help here as I'm stuck.

  • Python dictionary formating

    - by None
I made a python function to convert dictionaries to formatted strings. My goal was to have a function take a dictionary for input and turn it into a string that looked good. For example, something like "{'text':'Hello', 'blah':{'hi':'hello','hello':'hi'}}" would be turned into this: text: Hello blah: hi: hello hello: hi This is the code I wrote: indent = 0 def format_dict(d): global indent res = "" for key in d: res += (" " * indent) + key + ":\n" if not type(d[key]) == type({}): res += (" " * (indent + 1)) + d[key] + "\n" else: indent += 1 res += format_dict(d[key]) indent -= 1 return res #test print format_dict({'key with text content':'some text', 'key with dict content': {'cheese': 'text', 'item':{'Blah': 'Hello'}}}) It works like a charm. It checks if the dictionary item is another dictionary, in which it process that, or something else, in which it would use that as the value. The problem is: I can't have a dictionary and a string together in a dictionary item. For example: if I wanted blah: hi hello: hello again there'd be no way to do it. Is there some way I could have something like a list item in a dictionary. Something like this "{'blah':{'hi', 'hello':'hello again'}}"? And if you provide a solution could you tell me how I would need to change my code (if it did require changes). Note: I am using python 2.5

  • SQLiteOpenHelper.getWriteableDatabase() null pointer exception on Android

    I've had fine luck using SQLite with straight, direct SQL in Android, but this is the first time I'm wrapping a DB in a ContentProvider. I keep getting a null pointer exception when calling getWritableDatabase() or getReadableDatabase(). Is this just a stupid mistake I've made with initializations in my code or is there a bigger issue? public class DatabaseProvider extends ContentProvider { ... private DatabaseHelper databaseHelper; private SQLiteDatabase db; ... @Override public boolean onCreate() { databaseHelper = new DatabaseProvider.DatabaseHelper(getContext()); return (databaseHelper == null) ? false : true; } ... @Override public Uri insert(Uri uri, ContentValues values) { db = databaseHelper.getWritableDatabase(); // NULL POINTER EXCEPTION HERE ... } private static class DatabaseHelper extends SQLiteOpenHelper { public static final String DATABASE_NAME = "cogsurv.db"; public static final int DATABASE_VERSION = 1; public static final String[] TABLES = { "people", "travel_logs", "travel_fixes", "landmarks", "landmark_visits", "direction_distance_estimates" }; // people._id does not AUTOINCREMENT, because it's set based on server's people.id public static final String[] CREATE_TABLE_SQL = { "CREATE TABLE people (_id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY," + "server_id INTEGER," + "name VARCHAR(255)," + "email_address VARCHAR(255))", "CREATE TABLE travel_logs (_id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT," + "server_id INTEGER," + "person_local_id INTEGER," + "person_server_id INTEGER," + "start DATE," + "stop DATE," + "type VARCHAR(15)," + "uploaded VARCHAR(1))", "CREATE TABLE travel_fixes (_id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT," + "datetime DATE, " + "latitude DOUBLE, " + "longitude DOUBLE, " + "altitude DOUBLE," + "speed DOUBLE," + "accuracy DOUBLE," + "travel_mode VARCHAR(50), " + "person_local_id INTEGER," + "person_server_id INTEGER," + "travel_log_local_id INTEGER," + "travel_log_server_id INTEGER," + "uploaded VARCHAR(1))", "CREATE TABLE landmarks (_id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT," + "server_id INTEGER," + "name VARCHAR(150)," + "latitude DOUBLE," + "longitude DOUBLE," + "person_local_id INTEGER," + "person_server_id INTEGER," + "uploaded VARCHAR(1))", "CREATE TABLE landmark_visits (_id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT," + "server_id INTEGER," + "person_local_id INTEGER," + "person_server_id INTEGER," + "landmark_local_id INTEGER," + "landmark_server_id INTEGER," + "travel_log_local_id INTEGER," + "travel_log_server_id INTEGER," + "datetime DATE," + "number_of_questions_asked INTEGER," + "uploaded VARCHAR(1))", "CREATE TABLE direction_distance_estimates (_id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT," + "server_id INTEGER," + "person_local_id INTEGER," + "person_server_id INTEGER," + "travel_log_local_id INTEGER," + "travel_log_server_id INTEGER," + "landmark_visit_local_id INTEGER," + "landmark_visit_server_id INTEGER," + "start_landmark_local_id INTEGER," + "start_landmark_server_id INTEGER," + "target_landmark_local_id INTEGER," + "target_landmark_server_id INTEGER," + "datetime DATE," + "direction_estimate DOUBLE," + "distance_estimate DOUBLE," + "uploaded VARCHAR(1))" }; public DatabaseHelper(Context context) { super(context, DATABASE_NAME, null, DATABASE_VERSION); Log.v(Constants.TAG, "DatabaseHelper()"); } @Override public void onCreate(SQLiteDatabase db) { Log.v(Constants.TAG, "DatabaseHelper.onCreate() starting"); // create the tables int length = CREATE_TABLE_SQL.length; for (int i = 0; i < length; i++) { db.execSQL(CREATE_TABLE_SQL[i]); } Log.v(Constants.TAG, "DatabaseHelper.onCreate() finished"); } @Override public void onUpgrade(SQLiteDatabase db, int oldVersion, int newVersion) { for (String tableName : TABLES) { db.execSQL("DROP TABLE IF EXISTS" + tableName); } onCreate(db); } } } As always, thanks for the assistance! -- Not sure if this detail helps, but here's LogCat showing the exception:

  • C# Interop with dll

    - by Jim Jones
Using VS2008 C# am attempting to interop a C++ dll. Have a C++ class constructor: make_summarizer(const char* rdir, const char* lic, const char* key); Need to retain a reference to the object that is created so I can use it in a follow-on function. When I did this in JNI the c code was: declare a static pointer to the object: static summarizer* summrzr; Then in one of the functions I called this constructor as follows: summrzr = make_summarizer(crdir, clic, ckey); Where the parameters all where the requisite const char* type; So in C# using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.Runtime.InteropServices; using System.Configuration; namespace SummarizerApp { class SummApp { private IntPtr summarzr; public SummApp() { string resource_dir = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["resource_dir"]; string license = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["license"]; string key = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["key"]; createSummarizer(resource_dir, license, key); } [System.Runtime.InteropServices.DllImportAttribute("lib\\summarizer37.dll", EntryPoint = "#1")] public static extern IntPtr make_summarizer( [InAttribute()][MarshalAsAttribute(UnmanagedType.LPTStr)] string rdir, [InAttribute()][MarshalAsAttribute(UnmanagedType.LPTStr)] string lic, [InAttribute()][MarshalAsAttribute(UnmanagedType.LPTStr)] string key); public void createSummarizer(string resource_dir, string license, string key) { try { this.summarzr = make_summarizer(resource_dir, license, key); } catch (AccessViolationException e) { Console.WriteLine(e.Message); Console.WriteLine(e.StackTrace); } } Have also tried using IntPtr created using Marshal.StringToHGlobalAnsi(string). Regardless I get a AccessViolationException on the line where I call the native constructor; So what am I doing wrong? Jim

  • How do I eliminate Error 3002?

    - by Andrew
Say I have the following table definitions in SQL Server 2008: CREATE TABLE Person (PersonId INT IDENTITY NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, Name VARCHAR(50) NOT NULL, ManyMoreIrrelevantColumns VARCHAR(MAX) NOT NULL) CREATE TABLE Model (ModelId INT IDENTITY NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, ModelName VARCHAR(50) NOT NULL, Description VARCHAR(200) NULL) CREATE TABLE ModelScore (ModelId INT NOT NULL REFERENCES Model (ModelId), Score INT NOT NULL, Definition VARCHAR(100) NULL, PRIMARY KEY (ModelId, Score)) CREATE TABLE PersonModelScore (PersonId INT NOT NULL REFERENCES Person (PersonId), ModelId INT NOT NULL, Score INT NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (PersonId, ModelId), FOREIGN KEY (ModelId, Score) REFERENCES ModelScore (ModelId, Score)) The idea here is that each Person may have only one ModelScore per Model, but each Person may have a score for any number of defined Models. As far as I can tell, this SQL should enforce these constraints naturally. The ModelScore has a particular "meaning," which is contained in the Definition. Nothing earth-shattering there. Now, I try translating this into Entity Framework using the designer. After updating the model from the database and doing some editing, I have a Person object, a Model object, and a ModelScore object. PersonModelScore, being a join table, is not an object but rather is included as an association with some other name (let's say ModelScorePersonAssociation). The mapping details for the association are as follows: - Association - Maps to PersonModelScore - ModelScore ModelId : Int32 <=> ModelId : int Score : Int32 <=> Score : int - Person PersonId : Int32 <=> PersonId : int On the right-hand side, the ModelId and PersonId values have primary key symbols, but the Score value does not. Upon compilation, I get: Error 3002: Problem in Mapping Fragment starting at line 5190: Potential runtime violation of table PersonModelScore's keys (PersonModelScore.ModelId, PersonModelScore.PersonId): Columns (PersonModelScore.PersonId, PersonModelScore.ModelId) are mapped to EntitySet ModelScorePersonAssociation's properties (ModelScorePersonAssociation.Person.PersonId, ModelScorePersonAssociation.ModelScore.ModelId) on the conceptual side but they do not form the EntitySet's key properties (ModelScorePersonAssociation.ModelScore.ModelId, ModelScorePersonAssociation.ModelScore.Score, ModelScorePersonAssociation.Person.PersonId). What have I done wrong in the designer or otherwise, and how can I fix the error? Many thanks!

  • How to debug MySQL/Doctrine2 Queries?

    - by jiewmeng
I am using MySQL with Zend Framework & Doctrine 2. I think even if you don't use Doctrine 2, you will be familiar with errors like SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'ASC' at line 1 The problem is that I don't see the full query. Without an ORM framework, I could probably echo the sql easily, but with a framework, how can I find out what SQL its trying to execute? I narrowed the error down to $progress = $task->getProgress(); $progress is declared // Application\Models\Task /** * @OneToMany(targetEntity="TaskProgress", mappedBy="task") * @OrderBy({"seq" = "ASC"}) */ protected $progress; In MySQL, the task class looks like CREATE TABLE `tasks` ( `id` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `owner_id` int(11) DEFAULT NULL, `assigned_id` int(11) DEFAULT NULL, `list_id` int(11) DEFAULT NULL, `name` varchar(60) NOT NULL, `seq` int(11) DEFAULT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`id`), KEY `tasks_owner_id_idx` (`owner_id`), KEY `tasks_assigned_id_idx` (`assigned_id`), KEY `tasks_list_id_idx` (`list_id`), CONSTRAINT `tasks_ibfk_1` FOREIGN KEY (`owner_id`) REFERENCES `users` (`id`), CONSTRAINT `tasks_ibfk_2` FOREIGN KEY (`assigned_id`) REFERENCES `users` (`id`), CONSTRAINT `tasks_ibfk_3` FOREIGN KEY (`list_id`) REFERENCES `lists` (`id`) ) ENGINE=InnoDB AUTO_INCREMENT=3 DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1$$

  • jQuery and XML (with CDATA)

  • Entity Relationship Diagram - Relationship Strength?

    - by 01010011
Hi, I am trying to figure out under what circumstances I should use weak (non-identifying) relationships (where the primary key of the related entity does not contain a primary key component of the parent entity), verses when I should use strong (identifying) relationships (primary key of the related entity contains a primary key component of the parent entity). For example, when designing an Entity Relationship Diagram , if I have two entities, (e.g. book and purchaser), how do I know when to choose the solid Crows Foot or the dashed Crows Foot to connect the two entities? Any assistance will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Displaying Many-To-Many Database relationship in VB.NET 2008 with DataGrid, MS SQL 2008

    - by user337501
Computer bombed while posting this, couldnt find a duplicate question but if there is one, forgive me. So, I've run into a wall. And rather than use a ladder to avoid it, I'd like go through it. I'm setting up what I can best describe as a many-to-many relationship in a database. To examplify, imagine I have three primary tables: Items, Categories, Sections(nevermind the potential redundancy) Then I have another table, Properties. Items, Categories, and Sections can be associated with many properties. A single property can be associated with one, all, or none of the other tables. The best way I can figure to do this is to have join tables make the relationship. i.e. tblItems----(Foreign Key)----tblItems_To_Properties----(Foreign Key)----tblProperties In this example, tblItems simply has an "ItemID" Primary Key. tblItems_To_Properties has its own Primary Key(tblItems_To_PropertiesID), a Foreign Key to the Item(ItemID) and a Foreign key to the Property(PropertyID). The Properties table simply has its primary key(PropertyID) I hope this example isnt too confusing...if I have to I can find a way to put a diagram up or something. My problem is, I want to display this in a DataGrid using the Master-Detail method(DevExpress GridControl). I use the tblItems as a test, and I can see the Items in the parent view, but in the child view I see(understandably) the join table and that is it. My goal is to make it so the Grid ignores the join table and shows the Properties table as the only child. Any help on this method or insight into another solution would be muuuuuuuch appreciat

  • DataGridView in VB.net will not allow me to update

    - by Marc
I have a datagridview with a dataTable as the dataSource. The user can add new rows to the datadridview, but I dont display the primary key column (for obvious reasons) and set it to .visible = false. When I need to update the information in the datagridview to the database, I use the sqlClient.SqlCommandBuilder to then update the underlying datasource (the dataTable mentioned above). Now, because the hidden column is the primary key, I loop through the datagridview and programically add the required primary key field to each new row that does not already contain a primary key (user added rows). This works great 95% of the time... The problem is when the user somehow gives focus at some point (any point) to that bottom row on the datagridview, below their added rows, that is used to add new rows. The update command gives me an error stating that it cannot insert null into the primary key field, even though when checking all the values in every row, it is definitely NOT null for any of them. I have tried to trap for row.isNewRow (as the field never shows null) and deleting that row, but I get an error stating I can not delete an uncommitted row. If the focus is never given to that empty row beneath the existing rows and user added rows, the update works fine. What is going on?!

  • Info on type family instances

    - by yairchu
Intro: While checking out snoyman's "persistent" library I found myself wanting ghci's (or another tool) assistance in figuring out stuff. ghci's :info doesn't seem to work as nicely with type-families and data-families as it does with "plain" types: > :info Maybe data Maybe a = Nothing | Just a -- Defined in Data.Maybe ... > :info Persist.Key Potato -- "Key Potato" defined in example below data family Persist.Key val -- Defined in Database.Persist ... (no info on the structure/identity of the actual instance) One can always look for the instance in the source code, but sometimes it could be hard to find it and it may be hidden in template-haskell generated code etc. Code example: {-# LANGUAGE FlexibleInstances, GeneralizedNewtypeDeriving, MultiParamTypeClasses, TypeFamilies, QuasiQuotes #-} import qualified Database.Persist as Persist import Database.Persist.Sqlite as PSqlite PSqlite.persistSqlite [$persist| Potato name String isTasty Bool luckyNumber Int UniqueId name |] What's going on in the code example above is that Template-Haskell is generating code for us here. All the extensions above except for QuasiQuotes are required because the generated code uses them. I found out what Persist.Key Potato is by doing: -- test.hs: test = PSqlite.persistSqlite [$persist| ... -- ghci: > :l test.hs > import Language.Haskell.TH > import Data.List > runQ test >>= putStrLn . unlines . filter (isInfixOf "Key Potato") . lines . pprint where newtype Database.Persist.Key Potato = PotatoId Int64 type PotatoId = Database.Persist.Key Potato Question: Is there an easier way to get information on instances of type families and data families, using ghci or any other tool?

  • how to verify browser IP for server-side web service

    - by Anthony
I have a web service that needs to be able to verify the end-user's IP that called the server-script that is requesting the web service. Simple layout: Person A goes to Webpage B. Webpage B calls Web Service C to get some info on Person A. Web Service C won't give Webpage B the requested information without confirmation that the request originated from Person A's IP and not someone who has stolen Person A's session. I'm thinking that for a browser-based solution, the original site (Webpage B) can open an iframe that goes to the Web Service's authentication page. A key of some kind is passed to the browser which will some how indicate both the user's IP and Web Page B's IP, so that the Web Service can confirm that no one has nabbed anything. I have two challenges, but I'll stick to the more immediate one first: I'm not sure if my browser-based plan really makes sense. If someone steals the session cookie, how is the Web Service going to know? Would this cookie be held be Web Page B and thus be harder to steal? Is it a sound assumption that a cookie or key held by the server only and not the browser is safe? Also, would the web service, based on the iframe initial connection, be expecting the server/user-ip combo? What I mean is, does the session key provided via the iframe get stored by the web service and the Web Site B shows it has a match? Or is the session key more generic, meaning the web service is passed the key by Website B and the Web Service verifies that this is a valid session key based on what a valid session key should look like?

  • Replicating SQL's 'Join' in Python

    - by Daniel Mathews
I'm in the process of trying to switch from R to Python (mainly issues around general flexibility). With Numpy, matplotlib and ipython, I've am able to cover all my use cases save for merging 'datasets'. I would like to simulate SQL's join by clause (inner, outer, full) purely in python. R handles this with the 'merge' function. I've tried the numpy.lib.recfunctions join_by, but it critical issues with duplicates along the 'key': join_by(key, r1, r2, jointype='inner', r1postfix='1', r2postfix='2', defaults=None, usemask=True, asrecarray=False) Join arrays r1 and r2 on key key. The key should be either a string or a sequence of string corresponding to the fields used to join the array. An exception is raised if the key field cannot be found in the two input arrays. Neither r1 nor r2 should have any duplicates along key: the presence of duplicates will make the output quite unreliable. Note that duplicates are not looked for by the algorithm. source: http://presbrey.mit.edu:1234/numpy.lib.recfunctions.html Any pointers or help will be most appreciated!

  • Drupal - no self-linking

    - by pygorex1
So, I've added several pages to my Drupal install and linking to the pages using URL aliases via the Path module. So far so good - http://mydrupal/node/1 becomes http://mydrupal/about which is exactly what I'm looking for. Then I'm adding these links to the primary navigation and outputting the primary links via a custom theme (copy and paste the primary link code from the Chameleon theme). Here's the problem: when viewing http://mydrupal/about the page links to itself - that is the "About" link at http://mydrupal/about is still linking to http://mydrupal/about - the behavior I'm looking for is to have the "About" text display without a link. In summary: how do I prevent self-linking of pages when displaying the primary navigation?

  • How do I set YUI2 paginator to select a page other than the first page?

    - by Jeremy Weathers
    I have a YUI DataTable (YUI 2.8.0r4) with AJAX pagination. Each row in the table links to a details/editing page and I want to link from that details page back to the list page that includes the record from the details page. So I have to a) offset the AJAX data correctly and b) tell YAHOO.widget.Paginator which page to select. According to my reading of the YUI API docs, I have to pass in the initialPage configuration option. I've attempted this, but it doesn't take (the data from AJAX is correctly offset, but the paginator thinks I'm on page 1, so clicking "next" takes me from e.g. page 6 to page 2. What am I not doing (or doing wrong)? Here's my DataTable building code: (function() { var columns = [ {key: "retailer", label: "Retailer", sortable: false, width: 80}, {key: "publisher", label: "Publisher", sortable: false, width: 300}, {key: "description", label: "Description", sortable: false, width: 300} ]; var source = new YAHOO.util.DataSource("/sales_data.json?"); source.responseType = YAHOO.util.DataSource.TYPE_JSON; source.responseSchema = { resultsList: "records", fields: [ {key: "url"}, {key: "retailer"}, {key: "publisher"}, {key: "description"} ], metaFields: { totalRecords: "totalRecords" } }; var LoadingDT = function(div, cols, src, opts) { LoadingDT.superclass.constructor.call( this, div, cols, src, opts); // hide the message tbody this._elMsgTbody.style.display = "none"; }; YAHOO.extend(LoadingDT, YAHOO.widget.DataTable, { showTableMessage: function(msg) { $('sales_table_overlay').clonePosition($('sales_table').down('table')). show(); }, hideTableMessage: function() { $('sales_table_overlay').hide(); } }); var table = new LoadingDT("sales_table", columns, source, { initialRequest: "startIndex=125&results=25", dynamicData: true, paginator: new YAHOO.widget.Paginator({rowsPerPage: 25, initialPage: 6}) }); table.handleDataReturnPayload = function(oRequest, oResponse, oPayload) { oPayload.totalRecords = oResponse.meta.totalRecords; return oPayload; }; })();

  • Mysterious extra hashtable entry

    - by Harm De Weirdt
Good evening everyone, I'm back :) Let me explain my problem. I have a hashtable in wich I store the products a costumors buys (%orders). It uses the productcode as key and has a reference to an array with the other info as value. At the end of the program, I have to rewrite the inventory to the updated version (i.e. subtract the quantity of the bought items) This is how I do this: sub rewriteInventory{ open(FILE,'>inv.txt'); foreach $key(%inventory){ print FILE "$key\|$inventory{$key}[0]\|$inventory{$key}[1]\|$inventory{$key}[2]\n" } close(FILE); } where $inventory{$key}[x] is 0 - Title, 1 - price, 2 - quantity. The problem here is that when I look at inv.txt afterwards, I see things like this: CD-911|Lady Gaga - The Fame|15.99|21 ARRAY(0x145030c)||| BOOK-1453|The Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown|14.75|12 ARRAY(0x145bee4)||| Where do these "ARRAY(0x145030c)|||" entries come from? Or more important, how do I get rid of them? This is the last part of this school task, I had so much problems programming all this and this stupid little thing comes up now and I'm really fed up with this whole Perl thing. (this aside :p) I hope someone can help me :) Fuji
