    gcc (GCC) 4.6.3 c89 Hello, I am trying to use usleep. However, I keep getting the following warning: implicit declaration of function usleep I have included the unistd.h header file. The man pages mentions something about this. But I am not sure I understand by it: usleep(): Since glibc 2.12: _BSD_SOURCE || (_XOPEN_SOURCE >= 500 || _XOPEN_SOURCE && _XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED) && !(_POSIX_C_SOURCE >= 200809L || _XOPEN_SOURCE >= 700) Before glibc 2.12: _BSD_SOURCE || _XOPEN_SOURCE >= 500 || _XOPEN_SOURCE && _XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED But not sure what I a to do with the above?   • whats the point of using template?

    I am under the impression that if I set it as a template in Dreamweaver, any changes made should be saved to a new filename. I've copied the "template" that I made and sometimes I forget to save it as a different file name and it would overwrite previous web content. I just don't get the point of "save as template" if it works just like a document... it doesn't force me to save as a different filename. Common sense in me thinks that the software should evaluate like this, "if this is a template, always save as a different filename when it's modified so nothing is changed to the template, but rather a new file is created with the new content following that template." Am I missing something? Am I always doomed to using Save As...?

    I'm having a problem in flex 3 where if a static const I have defined is used as the parameter to a function call within binding tags I get a "1120: Access of undefined property NodePropertyMatrix". _propMtx is a ArrayCollection. <mx:HBox visible="{_propMtx.getItemAt(NodePropertyMatrix.srcParent)}"> Above code throws the error, but the following code does not <mx:HBox visible="{NodePropertyMatrix.srcParent}"> NodePropertyMatrix is an AS class as follows: package model.constants { import mx.collections.ArrayCollection; public class NodePropertyMatrix { public static const srcParent:Number = 0; } } Anyone know what is wrong here?

If not, Why the difference in the ordering of the addresses? Also, Why the difference in the difference? 0x8048541 - 0x8048511 = 0x30 0x8048408 - 0x80483f4 = 0x14 Btw, I just checked.     Using the event click with live function leads to strange behavior when using Firefox*. With live in Firefox, click is triggered when right-clicking also! The same does not happen in Internet Explorer 7 neither in Google Chrome. Example: Without live, go to demo and try right clicking the paragraphs. A dialog menu should appear. With live, go to demo and try right clicking "Click me!". Now both dialog menu and "Another paragraph" appear. *tested with firefox 3.5.3

I am trying to generate a random integer between 1 and 12 and then call a certain javascript function based on the result. Here's what I have: int number = 1 + (int)(Math.random() * ((12 - 1) + 1)); number = (int) Math.floor(number); String nextQuote = "javascript:wave" + number + "()"; mWebView.loadUrl(nextQuote); So mWebView.loadUrl(nextQuote) will be the same as something like mWebView.loadUrl("javascript:wave1()") I just want to know if what I have here is correct and will work the way I think it will. The application isn't responding as expected and I suspect this bit of code is the culprit.

    Hopefully this is a pretty simple question! I've got the code working in jQuery to listen for a specific form on a page to be submitted and perform an alert when it is.. I.e.: The form itself doesn't have a name so I am targetting the form within a specific form ID. $("#content form").submit(function() { alert("lorem ipsum dolor?"); }); What would be the syntax for performing this in javascript alone without using jquery?   • C++ performance, optimizing compiler, empty function in .cpp

    I've a very basic class, name it Basic, used in nearly all other files in a bigger project. In some cases, there needs to be debug output, but in release mode, this should not be enabled and be a NOOP. Currently there is a define in the header, which switches a makro on or off, depending on the setting. So this is definetely a NOOP, when switched off. I'm wondering, if I have the following code, if a compiler (MSVS / gcc) is able to optimize out the function call, so that it is again a NOOP.     I'm trying to make a hash function so I can tell if too lists with same sizes contain the same elements. For exemple this is what I want: f((1 2 3))=f((1 3 2))=f((2 1 3))=f((2 3 1))=f((3 1 2))=f((3 2 1)). Any ideea how can I approch this problem ? I've tried doing the sum of squares of all elements but it turned out that there are collisions,for exemple f((2 2 5))=33=f((1 4 4)) which is wrong as the lists are not the same. I'm looking for a simple approach it there are any.

    i have a function which is a class method, and i want to test a attribute of the class which may or may not be None, but will exist always. class classA(): def __init__(self, var1, var2 = None): self.attribute1 = var1 self.attribute2 = var2 @classmethod def func(self,x): if self.attribute2 is None: do something i get the error AttributeError: class classA has no attribute 'attributeB' when i access the attribute like i showed but if on command line i can see it works, x = classA() x.attributeB is None True so the test works. if i remove the @classmethod decorator from func, the problem disapears. if i leave the @classmethod decorator, it only seems to affect variables which are supplied default values in the super-class's constructor. whats going on in the above code?

  • design function: underlying structure to store list of results for print to file

    is this a good approach to print a list of items to csv file with a sublist attached to each item. The gist of the function is when an item is found that does not exactly macth then a list of close matches is generated - this works now writing out one list at a time to a command window. For export to a csv file I think all the lists must be generated, stored and then written at once. Right now I use a struct to store the attributes printed, each struct is an item on the list - these structs are then added to a sorted stack and when printed they pop off into write out. Is a stack of stacks of structs a good design?
