  • Table changes depending on dropdown list values with servlet

    What I want to realize is the following: In a JSP x I have a 3 dropdownlists and a button called edit when user click this button a table dynamically should be displayed. Now this table is modified correponding the values in those 3 dropdownlists. So it can be 3 cols or 4 cols or even 6 cols, it depends on the selected values. So what I tried is to use the servlet to getParameter doing the if clause construct the html and then forward the response. Have you any the suggestion of the structure that I can use in JSP? Thank you.

The else branch, I tried to assign it directly which did not work. How would I go about assigning it directly? Thanks for your time.

When I use SELECT * FROM table WHERE status LIKE '%option%' ); It also selects the rows with a 'status' column that only contains 'option1' Is this possible? example data: id,name,status 1,'test1','option,option1' 2,'test2','option,option2' 3,'test3','option2' 4,'test4','option2,option3' 5,'test5','option' SELECT * FROM table WHERE status contains ( 'option' ); This query should select select record 1,2 and 5. 'status' field type is varchar. The problem is that the status fields contains data that is almost alike, exept from the added number to option. Off course this is a made up example but the real thing has this kind of parameters

I changed the signature to IRule[] and tried the ArrayResolver trick in the post but that didn't work for me(note, it didn't break anything either).     Is there any way at all in C++ to declare a static variable while passing it to a function? I'm looking to use a macro to expand to the expression passed to the function. The expression needs to declare and initialize a static variable on that particular line (based on the filename and line number using FILE and LINE). int foo(int b) { int c = b + 2; return c; } int main() { int a = 3; a = foo(static int h = 2); //<---- see this! cout << a; return 0; } The problem I'm trying to solve is getting the filename and line number with the FILE and LINE macros provided by the preprocessor, but then creating a lookup table with integer keys leading to the FILE, LINE pairs. For example, the key 89 may map to file foo.cpp, line 20. To get this to work, I'm trying to use local static variables, so that they are initialized only once per line execution. The static variable will be initialized by calling a function that calculates the integer key and adds an entry to the lookup table if it is not there. Right now the program uses a message class to send exception information. I'm writing a macro to wrap this class into a new class: WRAPPER_MACRO(old_class_object) will expand to NewClass(old_class_object, key_value). If I add the static variable declaration as a second line right before this, it should work. The problem is that in most places in the code, the old class object is passed as an argument to a function. So the problem becomes declaring and initializing the static variable somehow with the macro, while keeping the existing function calls.

    I'm having trouble creating a Depth First Search for my program. So far I have a class of edges and a class of regions. I want to store all the connected edges inside one node of my region. I can tell if something is connected by the getKey() function I have already implemented. If two edges have the same key, then they are connected. For the next region, I want to store another set of connected edges inside that region, etc etc. However, I am not fully understanding DFS and I'm having some trouble implementing it. I'm not sure when/where to call DFS again. I want to find all messages in database that have user_id or reciever_id equal to the object user and his attribute id (for short user.id).
