• External JS usage in FBML - Cannot access external script

  Hi, I am trying to create a small facebook app and associate it to a fan page in a tab. I am trying to include an external javascript file in my page and call a method on a button click event. Below is a part of the code <script language="Javascript" src="http://mysite.com/fb.js"></script> <input type="button" value="Click....." onClick="javascript:showDialog();" /> content of fb.js is as below function showDialog() { new Dialog().showMessage('Dialog', 'Button clickeed'); } When I load the tab in my fan page, it shows an error "Cannot allow external script", whereas when I load the canvas url [http://apps.facebook.com/...] directly and click on the button, it works [shows the dialog]. Does script include works only on the canvas and not on the profile page? I have another question though Initially I had the script src as a relative path but it errored out with the same error - "Cannot allow external script". Can't I use relative path for the external scripts?

• Android orientation change causes ImageView to dissapear

  Below is my layout for the row template in a SimpleCursorAdapter. The ImageView with id next_arrow disappears on orientation change. If I replace @drawable/arrow with @drawable/icon (copy of the standard sym_def_app_icon) it works fine. error at build time, and a day of google searching has turned up other instances of this error caused by different triggers, and solutions for those propblems didn't work for me. I also found a single report on the Oracle forums that seemed to be a carbon copy of this issue, but there were no replies. The application is written in Weblogic Workshop 10, runs on Weblogic Server 10.3, and uses Beehive / NetUI. Not sure if that would make a difference or not though. The build scripts were automatically generated by Weblogic Workshop, with some tweaks and fixes made to other aspects of the files by myself to fix other compatability issues. I am using Java 1.6.0_23 from Sun, and Ant 1.8.1 Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi, I'm just wondering if anybody can help me with my simple but frustrating problem. I have created an SWF that loads an XML file from http://localhost/flash/Projects/MEL/Quiz/Quiz/bin/xml/quiz.xml, but I get this error when running the movie using Test Movie in the Flash IDE. I have tried a adding wildcard crossdomain.xml file in my root web directory and setting the SWF publish properties for local playback security to Allow network only, but neither of these have solved my problem. I know Windows 7 handles localhost name resolution differently compared to previous versions of Windows but I have even added 127.0.0.1 localhost to my hosts file to no avail. Can anyone shed any light on this issue?

The questions are as follows: Is there a serious processing overhead if I were to include these items in EVERY page (like in the Site.Master for example) thus negating the need for the HtmlHelper to organise the "includes" - considering there would end up being about 20 includes for all the different types of jQuery UI widgets used throughout the site. If the HtmlHelper sorts out the "includes", it will add one every time this DatePicker is used (often there are two on a page) Does anyone have a way of determining whether or not the user has already rendered the same type of control on the page, thus not re-including the same jquery libraries when multiple instances of the DatePicker (for example) are used?

  Sometimes JavaScript doesn't make sense to me, consider the following code that generates a photo mosaic based on x/y tiles. And I can ensure you that this function DOES get called because I've placed an alert() call inside it. Right now it's just stuck inside an infinite loop calling tryDisplayMosaic() constantly. Also if I place a loop just before tryDisplayMosaic() is called, and in that loop I set .Done = true, then .Done property is true and alert('All images downloaded'); will get called.

• Properly registering JavaScript and CSS in MVC 2 Editor Templates

  How do I properly register javascript blocks in an ASP.NET MVC 2 (RTM) Editor template? The specific scenario I'm in is that I want to use Dynarch JSCal2 DateTimePicker for my standard datetime picker, but this question is in general to any reusable javascript package.   I'm hoping for a bit of a "simpletons" demo\explanation for using Lazarus\Freepascal JSON parsing. I've asked a question here but all the replies are "read this" and none of them are really helping me get a grasp because the examples are bit too in-depth and I'm seeking a very simple example to help me understand how it works. In brief, my program reads an untyped binary file in chunks of 4096 bytes. The raw data then gets converted to ASCII and stored in a string. It then goes through the variable looking for certain patterns, which, it turned out, are JSON data structures.   Hi, Before going live I try to test the paypal process against the paypal sandbox mode, but after the summary of what the user is going to pay on my website(buy now button), the link does not redirect to a paypal summary of the prder but ask the user to connect to paypal. Even after logging into the buyer sandbox account there's no summary of the order. It just disappears. From what I could tell, by using: $("a:first-child") Won't select the first tag because it doesn't have any children (just text). The second tag should not get selected so something like: $("a:first-child").not("img) but that leaves out the first item. EDIT: If there is an IMG anywhere in the A element, don't select it.

  I'm creating a tree control and I'm attempting to use a parent element as a template for its children. To this end I'm using the element.cloneNode(true) method to deep clone the parent element. However when I insert the cloned element into the DOM it is missing certain inner elements despite having an outerHTML value identical to its parent. Surprisingly I observe the same behavior is in IE, Firefox, and Chrome leading me to believe that it is by design. This is the HTML for the node I'm attempting to clone. <SPAN class=node><A class=nodeLink href="/SparklerRestService2.aspx?q={0}" name=http://dbpedia.org/data/Taylor_Swift.rdf> <IMG class=nodeIcon alt="Taylor Swift" src="images/node.png"><SPAN class=nodeText>Taylor Swift</SPAN></A><SPAN class=nodeDescription>Taylor Swift is a swell gall who is realy great.</SPAN></SPAN> Once I've cloned the node using cloneNode(true) I examine the outerHTML property and find that it is indeed identical to the original. <SPAN class=node><A class=nodeLink href="/SparklerRestService2.aspx?q={0}" name=http://dbpedia.org/data/Taylor_Swift.rdf><IMG class=nodeIcon alt="Taylor Swift" src="images/node.png"><SPAN class=nodeText>Taylor Swift</SPAN></A><SPAN class=nodeDescription>Taylor Swift is a swell gall who is realy great.</SPAN></SPAN> However when I insert it into the DOM and inspect the result using FireBug I find that the element has been transformed: <span class="node" style="top: 0px; left: 0px;"<a class=nodeLink href="/SparklerRestService2.aspx?q={0}" name=http://dbpedia.org/data/Taylor_Swift.rdf>Taylor Swift</a><span class="nodeDescription">It's great</span></span> Notice that the grandchildren of the node (the image tag and the span tag surrounding "Taylor Swift") are missing, although strangely the great grandchild "Taylor Swift" text node has made it into the tree. Can anyone shed some light on this behavior? Why would nodes disappear after insertion into the DOM, and why am I seeing the same result in all three major browser engines?

• Javascript floodlight tracking iframe leaves browser window blank, please help!

  Hello, I have been asked to implement a javascript floodlight tag onto my site which is to be called everytime a customer downloads a pdf file. But the window where you clicked the download link turns blank. Is there a way of opening this tracking iframe and then having the pdf opening without the parent window going blank? Your help will be very much appreciated on this.

• can't figure out serving static images in django dev environment

  I've read the article (and few others on the subject), but still can't figure out how to show an image unless a link to a file existing on a web-service is hard-coded into the html template. I've got in urls.py: ... (r'^galleries/(landscapes)/(?P<path>.jpg)$', 'django.views.static.serve', {'document_root': settings.MEDIA_URL}), ... where 'landscapes' is one of the albums I'm trying to show images from. (There are several more of them.) In views.py it calls the template with code like that: ... <li><img src=160.jpg alt='' title='' /></li> ... which resolves the image link in html into: http://127.0.0.1:8000/galleries/landscapes/160.jpg In settings.py I have: MEDIA_ROOT = 'C:/siteURL/galleries/' MEDIA_URL = 'http://some-good-URL/galleries/' In file system there is a file C:/siteURL/galleries/landscapes/160.jpg and I do have the same file at http://some-good-URL/galleries/landscapes/160.jpg No matter what I use in urls.py — MEDIA_ROOT or MEDIA_URL (with expectation to have either local images served or from the web-server) — I get following in the source code in the browser: <li><img src=160.jpg /></li> There is no image shown in the browser. What am I doing wrong?
