  • The wireless connection could not be detected by other computer

    i tried to configure router pc in my linux ubuntu 10.04 . I use 2 connection to connect 2 client. 1st computer use LAN connection and 2nd use wireless connection. when i make new wireless connection in my ubuntu, the wireless that i make could not be detected by other computer that use wireless connection.i have tried to use windows and ubuntu as a client but it doesn't work. Maybe there's someone who know about it. Please share :)

    Hi guys, I'm trying to view websites with flash content in IE on a window mobile 6.5 device[HTC touch HD2].It says it has not got the right flash player.i tried to install the player but the device giving me an error,its saying the installer is not a valid pocket pc application.     I am developing a Java program that needs to run when user turns on his PC, I was suggested to : create a .bat file @javaw -jar path/to/jar/Name.jar arguments drop this in the Windows startup directory My question is : Can my Java program save the above file into the Windows startup directory ? Where is this Windows startup directory on the C: or D: drive ? How can my Java app find out the location ? Is it the same on all versions of Windows ?

  • Can not copy files from Windows 2003 server over network

    It seemed quite strange. I have a share folder with full read/write permission on my Windows 2003 server. With a XP client, I can create a new folder on the share folder, and I can copy files to it normally, but I can not copy these files back to my client PC. I tried use ftp,and webdav to get the files from server. None of them worked. Is the issue related with NETWORK SERVICE? Thanks for your help.

    I'm coming from a PC, loaded with a Core 2 Quad CPU and 8GB of DDR2 RAM. I was running Premiere CS3. I'm new to Mac so I'm not sure if this will help performance: Will increasing my 21.5" Core 2 Duo iMac's memory from 4GB (DDR3) to 8GB improve performance of Premiere CS4 significantly? I am not impressed with Premiere as it is now. The iMac is the newest one as of this post.

  • After returning from standby mode, win7 asks for login twice

    When a Windows 7 32-bit PC attached to a domain comes back from standby mode and has no user logged in, if I log in once, it jumps back to the login screen. If I log in for a second time, then it actually logs in. This happens on multiple PCs, and is not a hardware issue. The PCs are also free of viruses/malware, and are otherwise problem-free. Why does it do this, and is there a way to prevent this annoyance?

  • Flash player 11.4 hungs firefox immediatly after start

    I have installed Flash player 11.4.402.287 on a "fresh" PC, moments after installing Windows, drivers, directX etc. After installing Flash Player Firefox totally hungs immediatly after run. First page (adobe page, because it was launched before closing firefox) doen't load. I see new tab but FF goes hung to zero-responsivity, even loading icon stops in single position. KMPlayer, wich uses firefox also hungs. How to solve this issue ?

  • SQL Server connection error (a weird one) (unsolved yet)

    SQL Server can be connected from local system but can not be connected from remote system in the network. The error code is 40 from Visual Studio and 1326 when I try to connect to SQL Server from Management Studio. Firewall isn't the problem TCP/IP connection is enabled from SQL Server There are 2 pc terminals that can connect to the SQL Server but the 3th one cannot and using the same connection strings so the connection string is right It is SQL server 2000 any help will be appreciated thanks

  • good PCI-e Wireless card for Windows7?

    Hi I've just build a 64bit Windows 7 PC but am unhappy with the piddly performance of the linksys USB wireless dingle I've used. Can anyone suggest a good PCIe alternative that will be stronger for connection and maybe faster. I dont see why my desktop should show a weaker performance on wireless than my laptop when its sat next to it or even my Palm Pre for that matter. any thoughts?     I would like to set an alias on my local PC for a network machine. I know that it can be done by adding an entry in the hosts file as long as the IP address of the machine is also specified. However, the problem is that IPs are dynamically assigned by a DHCP server so I don't know for sure the IP address. Is there a way to define just an alias based on the machine's network name? P.S.: I'm running Windows Server 2008 R2.

  • Photoshop 5.5 won't start after upgrading to windows 7 from vista

    I have photoshop 5.5 working just fine under windows vista, I upgraded my PC to windows 7 and when I start photoshop 5.5 it just hangs. I see the main screen open but nothing happens and I just get the busy sign out of the mouse pointer, with Photoshop not completing the start. I searched online and some reported the same issue and were able to solve the issue by deleting Photoshop setting or preference file. I did that, but still the issue is present.

    Our password policy makes users change pw every 30 days, when this happens they sometimes find they are logged on with a local profile and none of their settings. This generally only happens when the PC was slow at logging onto the network, but in this case I know it had plenty of time to do so. I can't work out why this is happening, is it related to a slow link?

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 bare metal restore to different hardware

    Scenario: I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 installation whose main disk drive is now 7 years old and showing signs of age. For the last couple of months it's been displaying increased errors and requirements to run checkdisk. I have successfully created a bare metal restore (BMR) image on a separate data drive on the server, which can be seen from the Windows Recovery console; I tested it by booting to and using the Windows Server installation DVD's recovery utilities. The BMR image includes the system drive with boot partition, system state, and the D:\ drive of the server, which is where I have followed the practice of installing any program that does not require a C:\ installation path. Therefore, the BMR includes both the C:\ and D:\ drives, system state and boot partition. The C:\ drive is a 7-year old Seagate 160GB. The D:\ drive is a rather newer 120GB Western Digital. I have purchased a 128GB solid state Samsung 830 that I want to restore these partitions to, using the BMR. Questions: In the above-referenced article, Microsoft seems to be indicating that I am only able to restore to like-kind hardware, which doesn't help at all and is difficult to believe. Is this really true? I've cleaned these drives up and minimized the size of partition they require. C:\ will need about a 70GB partition, and the data on D:\ will need about 50GB. Will Windows Server backup allow me to restore the BMR to newly-created partitions on the SSD, discarding extra space? I don't need a "how-to": I just need an "is it possible".     RE: Putting this out there in case someone else runs into this issue. The intel chipset is on-board. I discovered the reason for the crappy resolution in windows 7 was that the memory to share with the video card was set to 1MB in the BIOS.     How did my graphics card "explode" like it did in the picture I have here? And if I was just plugging into my on-board graphics, why wouldn't the PC boot up like it normally would? It wouldn't come up until I opened the cover and removed the card, that's when I found it like this. EDIT: If the card was trying to still operate like this for a while, did it run the risk of damaging the PCI-E slot?

So is there a tool for pc to monitor the softwares that are using my connexion? Thanks
