  • Can not install Ubuntu on Samsung Ultrabook Series 5 (Win 7!)

    I have a Samsung Ultrabook Series 5 with Windows 7 (which I want to keep)... I can boot from a USB stick without a problem and ubuntu work fine, but when I want to install it, the installation progress is stopped and it won't go further. It stop with the message: Checking filesystem Before that, I got also a message, that the system can't unmount the /cdrom (which the ultrabook doesn't have!) Thank you very much for help!

    I am trying to install ubuntu onto my flash drive using the instructions from the website, http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/create-a-usb-stick-on-mac-osx , and after step 8, the terminal asks for my password, which it accepts and then pops u this error message, dd: /dev/rdisk1bs=1m: Operation not supported. I have also tried making the last m in that statement capital and then the system does not ask me for my password but the error message still pops up. What is happening and why?

  • git post-receive hook throws "command not found" error but seems to run properly and no errors when run manually

    I have a post-receive hook that runs on a central git repository set up with gitolite to trigger a git pull on a staging server. It seems to work properly, but throws a "command not found" error when it is run. I am trying to track down the source of the error, but have not had any luck. Running the same commands manually does not produce an error. The error changes depending on what was done in the commit that is being pushed to the central repository. For instance, if 'git rm ' was committed and pushed to the central repo the error message will be "remote: hooks/post-receive: line 16: Removed: command not found" and if 'git add ' was committed and pushed to the central repo the error message will be "remote: hooks/post-receive: line 16: Merge: command not found". In either case the 'git pull' run on the staging server works correctly despite the error message. Here is the post-receive script: #!/bin/bash # # This script is triggered by a push to the local git repository. It will # ssh into a remote server and perform a git pull. # # The SSH_USER must be able to log into the remote server with a # passphrase-less SSH key *AND* be able to do a git pull without a passphrase. # # The command to actually perform the pull request on the remost server comes # from the ~/.ssh/authorized_keys file on the REMOTE_HOST and is triggered # by the ssh login.     Hi Folks, Basically I have my domain howcode.com bought at DomainMonster.com. I have set it all up to point to MediaTemple nameservers and everything works - mostly - fine. I have registered an email address [email protected]. The setup is, I presume, working correctly. I can successfully send emails with the account. And I presume I can receive them - but the problem is, nobody can send them to me. Emailing from a regular, non-Googlemail account appears to work fine but it never arrives in the inbox. But when you email from a GoogleMail address, an error message is instantly returned saying this: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: [email protected] Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error.     I have a website, and in the "Contact" section I have a form which users may fill in to contact me. The form is a simple form which action is a php page. The problem is not in Outlook, because when I log in to the actual mailprogram where I fetch the POP3 emails from, the email looks the same. When I right click in Outlook and chose "message source" then there is no "From" information. Ex, a good message should look like this: Subject: =?UTF-8?B?w5Z2cmlndA==?= MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 From: John Doe However, the ones with problem looks like this: Subject: =?UTF-8?B??= MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 From: As if the information has been lost somewhere. You should know also that I have a VPS, which I manage myself. I use postfix as an emailserver, if thats got anything to do with it. But then again, why does it work sometimes? Also another thing that I have noticed is that sometimes special characters are not shown correctly (by both Outlook and the webmail). For instance, the name "Björkman" in swedish is shown like Björkman, but again, only sometimes. I hope anybody knows something about this problem, because it is very hard to track down for me atleast. If you need more input let me know.

    For those interested, I have now modified the SubSonic 2.x code to recognize and support DataTable parameter types. A bit about good form: My DAL has no direct table access, and my DB only has execute permissions for that user to my sprocs. As such, SubSonic only generates the AllStructs and StoredProcedures classes.     I'm getting the error below when i try to execute a stored procedure in a Stateless bean with container managed persistance; com.ibm.db2.jcc.am.SqlException: DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-751, SQLSTATE=38003, SQLERRMC=STORED PROCEDURE;FXTR324;FXTR324;COMMIT, DRIVER=4.7.85 The stored proc executes without errors if i manually create the connection the database, i.e. unmanaged transaction. Is there anything i need to do for it to execute in the EJB bean?

  • How can I adjust the CommandTImeout in DbFit for long running queries?

    Is there any way to increase the CommandTimeout for DbFit queries? I have a long running stored procedure that times out when running it in a DbFit Test. It's possible for the procedure to run for a really long time (processing millions of records) and would like to have DbFit wait until it's completed, even if it takes several minutes. We are using the latest version of FitSharp (downloaded it yesterday) and use the version of DbFit that is included with FitSharp.

    hi there, I have a stored procedure and trying to run "sp_OACreate" but fall over with the following message: Msg 50000, Level 16, State 1, Procedure HTTP_REQUEST, Line 26 sp_OACreate on MSXML2.XMLHttp.4.0 failed That occurs because I am setting a variable to get the return value of sp_OACreate and raise the above error if the return value is not 0. Now, the return value I get is "-6" but i don't know why it is happening? Any help on this would be good to help make this work.
