  • Applescript cannot find sed during application install

    I am attempting to install an application, but the installer fails with the following error message: sh: sed: command not found and there is an Edit and OK button in the dialog, so I click the Edit button which launches the AppleScript Editor to show me the script that is executing. Running it from within the Editor doesn't work either. The first line of the script with sed is set currdir_modified to do shell script ("echo " & currdir & " | sed 's/ /\\ /g'") I went to the terminal to make sure sed was available, and it is, in /usr/bin. This sounds like a path problem, but I am not sure where to go from here. What can I do to further troubleshoot or solution this issue? I have successfully installed this app on another mac running the same OS X version, so it is specific to my mac and the application's support is not providing any more help because it is my mac's problem, not theirs.

    If I have a console application, is there any way I can handle the following: Ctrl-C (I know the answer to this. Using Console.TreatControlCAsInput and Console.CancelKeyPress) Session termination, such as when someone logs off Process exit, such as when someone uses the task manager to close the application. I know that if I was writing a unix application, I would handle various signals to catch the request to close (SIGTERM from memory), but I also know I need to handle these messages pretty quickly and exit before the system does a kill -9 (SIGKILL). But for a C# console application, I'm not sure how to do this.

  • Starting inets/httpd with custom application

    I've got a module that I'm attempting to turn into a proper OTP application. Currently, the module has start/0 which starts a genserver which supplies configuration data read from a config file. It then calls inets:start(httpd,config:lookup(httpd_conf)). I gather that I need to move the starting of these out into the .app file's (application list) but I'm not sure how to get my config data into the inets:start function (or pass in httpd)?     I have build the web application using Java1.5, Struts framework with Mysql database Deployed on the JBOSS4.0.5 Server Every thing seems to be fine when the activity is there on the server. Every morning, If I tried to connect to application, it shows the application is down. Once I restart the server, It works fine. From past 1 month, I am just restarting the server every day.     My project is a computer vision java application which should implement the following : A web interface through which the form entry+images(for example a student data) will be stored into a database(Mysql) & images into directory common to my java application. Then the data & images can be retrieved from my java Gui application and I can perform the following operations of image processing through OpenCV. Actually,I want to run the face detection on images retrieved and discard the false entries(no proper face). Also the application user/admin can search an image based on text search(By Id) or By another reference image using face recognition. I am well familiar with Java but the problem is that I need a guidance on how to organise it in a stepwise manner(links appreciated).OpenCv,Php and mySql are really messy.I know doing the openCV stuff within java is real overhead but i really want to do it.But If there is any suggestion to do it elseway please guide me.So any kind of help is a ray of hope for me.     Is there a way to have a single Mac OS X application utilize a different region format than the system default? For example, I'd like to keep my system operating in English with US date formats but have my lesson planning software utilize French date formats. If I put my entire computer into French mode, I get the desired results, but I'd rather keep my entire system in US mode and have the Planbook application work with French region formats. I know about Language Switcher but that only allow per-app selections of localizations to be used, not which date format to use. I don't care about having the French localization of Planbook appear, I just want the date format to be French.

    I am developing PyQt software for my lab. In this software, I am loading different kind of RAW and analyzed data from a mySQL database (usually in arrays). I would like to integrate an Iython console in a Widget, so that I could interact easily with these data. I had some difficulties with Ipython 0.13 to do this. Here is what I already have (The whole code is very long, so I just show the part containing the widget, the Ipython console and the corresponding import line, if you need more, just tell me): ##I load everything useful to my application, including the following line from IPython.frontend.qt.console.qtconsoleapp import IPythonQtConsoleApp ##then is my whole software ##here is a class containing the Graphical User Interface elements.   • Eclipse Maven web application - can not run on server anymore

    I have an maven eclipse webapp project that I was able to right click and 'Run on server' and it would deploy on tomcat. I recently did a 'maven - Update project conifgurations' and I now can NOT deploy and run the project as a webapp. Has anyone seen this before? The only output from tomcat is as follows - it doesnt even look like its trying to deploy the application.   • Sql Server Select Command and too much data sent to winforms application

    When you have an application and send a select command, the sql server gathers all the data and sends them back to your application and fills your datagrid (for example) If you performed the same select command in sql management studio, immediately as the query starts running and finding data the results panel would start filling with the data found. How can I do that for my winforms application? Is there a technique or a standard method of doing something like this? Links to good examples would be an immense help. thanks
