• Forcing entry of certain character types in UITextField

  If I have a UITextField which the user is inputing a registration number, which has the format: 11-11-1111 (that is 2 digits, a dash, 2 digits, a dash, four digits) How do I force the user to enter this kind of data only... so they can't enter anything except 0-9 in the first character, and only '-' for the third character etc.

  so, let's say i have the long/lat or address of many buildings can get satellite images, "street view", and perhaps 3d/perspective views of buildings. want to find: height, number of floors, floor area (max building footprint) of the building. about 200k buildings.   I'd like to create the same kind of function tumblr has for uploading images and then inserting them directly into the WYSIWYG editor. I was planning on using uploadify to upload the image, then I am not sure of the method for inserting into the CKEditor. Has anyone done anything similar or know of a plugin that could do this? At the moment I'm using software locks (C# locks) to achieve this but wonder what kind of features provided by the Sql server itself to achieve thread safety.   I'm working on an application using Pylons and I was wondering if there was a way to make sure it doesn't spend way too much time handling one request. That is, I would like to find a way to put a timer on each request such that when too much time elapses, the request just stops (and possibly returns some kind of error). The application is supposed to allow users to run some complex calculations but I would like to make sure that if a calculation starts taking too much time, we stop it to allow other calculations to take place.

  Why Nibernate HQL can not handle the following query: from Deal D where (D.ApprovalDate + INTERVAL 1 Year) < current_timestamp() < (D.RenewalDate + INTERVAL -1 Year) knowing that INTERVAL and YEAR are keywords in MySQL, so this is kind of mixing Sql within Hql (unless Hql can handle date functions like so and I don't know) . The dialect is MySQLDialect Its perfectly valid to execute this query SELECT '2005-01-01' + INTERVAL 1 Year;

  I am using progress element while displaying the progress of a file upload in javascript. But the problem that I am facing is it is not completely loading huge file.when I checked evet.total attribute it gives the total size of the file in bytes.But when it loads physically event.loaded attribute loads only 70 to 75 %.So I want to know is there any pre-requisite when use progress event?
