    Does anyone know if Google's CDN for jQuery is available in China? http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxlibs/ I might have a project where I'll need to support localization a variety of countries, including mainland China, and want to know if I'll need to find alternatives such as: http://www.asp.net/ajax/CDN/ Which is okay, but my understanding is that the Microsoft CDN doesn't support jQuery UI. I've checked over at the following Google report page, but can't really figure out if 'sites' includes their CDN delivery: http://www.google.com/prc/report.html

  • Easy way to use Images in WPF

    Hi All I've only just started using WPF. (I'm a WinForms guy), and from what I can see, trying to simply drag an image onto the Window is a huge PAIN. There seems to be no way where you can just select an option to tell it what picture to put indide the image control. I've seen so many sites within the last 10 minutes with atleast 10lines of code just to insert animage into a window. Is there an easier way?

  • Why is good UI design so hard for some Developers?

    Some of us just have a hard time with the softer aspects of UI design (myself especially). Are "back-end coders" doomed to only design business logic and data layers? Is there something we can do to retrain our brain to be more effective at designing pleasing and useful presentation layers? Colleagues have recommended a few books me including The Design of Sites, Don't make me think and Why Software sucks , but I am wondering what others have done to remove their deficiencies in this area?

  • How do I make non-framework code to framework code? (PHP)

    I just started using CakePHP and it's very different from just normal procedural or basic OOP PHP. I am still learning PHP and still read "beginning PHP/mysql" books that teaches you basic PHP. Also lots of sites online provide code that isn't for a framework. Is the only way to make non-framework code to say a framework, say cakePHP, by learning cakePHP thoroughly than rewriting the code yourself to fit the MVC model?

    Hi there, Is there any site that show both OpenID and normal login on the same view? Most of the sites either have OpenID implementation or Normal Login implementation on different views. I tried to do that, but it seems my code is very dirty, passing a blank username and password if using OpenID, otherwise OpenID will be blank but passed the username and password. But then I lose the capability of verifying whether the user has entered the correct values, is there any best practice for me to do that? Thanks a lot

    I have to create a bunch of these "Share this on" Technorati, Digg, Facebook, Reddit, del.icio.us, StumbleUpon, MySpace and so on. It is very easy to find online icons for this task, but it is a little more difficult to find what URLs I should link. Is there any updated list of all these services? Of course I could copy them from other sites having this, but I am not sure they are updated, and moreover maybe there is some GET parameter I want to set differently.

  • What kind of string is this? What can I do in php to read it?

    This is a string (see below, after the dashed line) in a database.inf file for a free program I downloaded that lists some websites. The file is plain text as you can see , but there is a string after it that looks base64 encoded (due to the end chars of ==). But b64_decoding it gives giberish. I wanted to decode it so I could add to the list of sites it had (the program lists a bunch of sites and data about them which I can read in the GUI) and to do that I need to decode this, add to it, and re-encode it. I think the program uses .net since I think the .net library was required on install, but I know nothing of the original source language. I am using php to figure out if there is a simple way to read this. I have tried using unpack, binhex, base_convert, etc as I suspect the file is binary at some level, but I am lost. Nothing illegal, just wanting to know what it is and if I can add a few things to it to make it more useful for me. here is the file - any ideas how to decode and recode this for playing with?     suppose we have simple polygon(without holes) with vertices (v0,v1,....vn) my aim is to determine if for given point p(x,y) any line segment connecting this point and any vertices of polygon is inside polygon or even for given two point p(x0,y0) `p(x1,y1)` line segment connecting these two point is inside polygon? i have searched many sites about this ,but i am still confused,generally i think we have to compare coordinates of vertices and by determing coordinates of which point is less or greater to another point's coordinates,we could determine location of any line segment,but i am not sure how correct is this,please help me

  • Why is IE7 rendering these differently?

    I'm totally baffled as to why these 2 sites are rendering differently in IE7, even though the theme powering both is the same, they're both on WordPress 2.9.2... This one is okay: http://htm2wp.com/dev/svn This one has the sidebar appear at the bottom: svnsvadvisors.com/blog Meanwhile, they render the exact same in Chrome and Firefox. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? I think I may just be too close to the problem to see it.
