This is Part 2 of this question and thanks very much for David's answer. What if I need to extract dates which are bounded by two keywords?
Example:
text = "One 09 Jun 2011 Two 10 Dec 2012 Three 15 Jan 2015 End"
Case 1 bounding keyboards: "One" and "Three"
Result expected: ['09 Jun 2011', '10 Dec 2012']
Case 2 bounding keyboards: "Two" and "End"
Result expected: ['10 Dec 2012', '15 Jan 2015']
Thanks!
Hey,
anyone knows a jQuery plug-in for text zoom a-la MAC OS X "Large Type" function in Address Book? I'd use it for the same situation - to show full-screen phone number after clicking on it.
Cheers
My database has a datetime field, and I want to be able to create new entries. Obviously the Rails datetime_select helper isn't the most user friendly thing to have in your form.
I'd rather have a text field for the datetime (or one for the date, and one for the time) and interpret the inputs like PHP strtotime can.
I might just be searching the wrong keywords. Surely this has been discussed in great depth somewhere.
Thanks

I have a radio button list and some of the labels are quite long so they wrap and the second line appears underneath the radio button. Ideally I would like the text to wrap with the second line starting beneath the first character of the first line.
Any ideas on how? or would I have to make my own list based control for this?

yyyy is four digit year
there are two spaces as separators

Hi all,
I am just trying to count the number of white spaces to the LEFT of a line from a text file.
I have been using
count( line.begin(), line.end(), ' ' );
but obviously that includes ALL white spaces to the left, in between words and to the right.
So basically what I'm wanting it to do is once it hits a non-space character stop it from counting the white spaces.
Thanks everyone.

Hi, I am trying to remove text that is within parentheses (along with the parentheses themselves) but am having trouble with the scenario where there are parentheses within parentheses. This is the method I am using (in Ruby):
sentence.gsub(/\(.*?\)/, "")
and that works fine until I have a sentence such as:
"This is (a test (string))"
Then the above chokes. Anyone have any idea how to do this? I am completely stumped.
