    I want to have custom text printed on my screen always on top. I tried rainmeter software and i could not find option to load text from file on my system or in any other way. What i want to have is software that prints on top of all windows and scan file every seconds to print latest changes. P.S. the idea would be to have my live PHP website error log printed on my screen every second or as new entres appear.

    I have a problem now with the QR bar codes on the Wheelie Bins we deliver. The scan was giving us the following .. RL0313550 Now due to some changes at the manufacturing plant they have had to add more data as follows. 1234567891,RL031550 We only need the "RL031550" can anyone let me know how to fix this. We use Intermec CN50 device with 2d Imager fitted, was hoping to fix this within the device settings.

    Good morning, I have a registry key that changes local users Internet Explorer LAN Settings to uncheck the "Automatically detect settings" tickbox. When I add this policy to the Terminal Servers user group it has no effect. I exported this key from my own registry after unticking the box. My computer runs Windows Vista Business Edition. Environment: We are using Server 2008 RC2 environment - two terminal servers with a session broker. Any idea's on how to get this working?

I've been considering migrating to slackware. However, it seems slackware does not have a package management system. How would I learn about new security updates?     In Server 2000 active directory, I have 5 groups of users and every user has different policies. The problem is that a different desktop loads for only one specific user no matter what changes I make in administrative templates. If I copy this user profile and paste it into another group with a different name, windows workaround loads as it should, but some policies are not applied. Does anybody know a way to solve this problem instead of creating a new group and user from scratch?

  • Using iptables to forward traffic destined for specific ip via specific interface

    I want to forward traffic destined for a specific ip from my internal network via a specific interface. I have two interfaces which are currently load balanced. I need all requests for a certain ip to go out via eth0 otherwise my external ip changes and sessions are dropped. eg. all requests from 10.1.1.1/24 to ip 11.22.33.44 on port 443 must go out via interface eth0. How can I do this with iptables?

    We have recently got some preconfigured ready-to-use computers. During some checks, I saw a strange bar located between address bar and toolbar in Windows Explorer.     I've been told to assume it takes as long as 48 hours for a DNS change to propagate throughout the entire Internet, because some DNS servers cache their entries for longer than my TTL. However, for years and across ISPs and domains, every time I've made a DNS change I see the effects within a couple of hours. Is it still true that I need to assume a full two days for everyone to see my changes?

    Since transferring or copying a file that is being used sometimes causes corruption of the transferred file, can we define a time interval in which Rsync checks each file in a given directory to see if there is a change within that time interval ? Files that are not changed during that interval will be transferred, while those that have changes will not. Can I do that with rsync ? Or another tool ? Is there a script to add this functionality to Rsync ? Thanks

    when I install stuff under built-in Administrator - the other users cannot see the changes. for example I changed VS2012 install - added Blend and few other features - and they are invisible under another user - my 'Microsoft account' ... I surely don't want this kind of behavior. Can it be changed? EDIT: I want those apps 'legitimately installed' for all users so I can use Search and see them on my Start screen.

  • Missing hvc0 in Ubuntu Lucid Xen DomU

    I've just installed an Ubuntu Lucid 64bit image (from Stacklet) as a Xen DomU, running under Xen 3.2.1 on Centos 5.2 64bit. Everything is working fine, except my logs are flooded with: /dev/hvc0: No such file or directory I tried creating the device with mknod /dev/hvc0 c 229 0 but the message just changes to: /dev/hvc0: cannot open as standard input: No such device or address Any hint on what I could try? :(

    i have a server i save a lot of files, i wonder how i use webdav with netbeans. eg. import a webdav folder edit the php files and save it the new changes apply immediately on the web server (cause the webdav folder is the same as the apache web root folder) i think this is a very smart solution so that you can change the website immediately, without having to download, change and upload. anyone that knows how to accomplish this? (feel free to propose other quick solutions for how to do quick edits)

  • Windows Explorer not displaying drives (Windows 7)

    A very strange issue - Windows Explorer doesn't display the drives connected to my machine. I did make some changes to my setup a while back with the Local Group Policy Editor to disable the "Aero Shake" behavior, so I may have inadvertently enabled or disabled something related to this, but to be honest, I don't remember when the behavior actually started. Any ideas? This is a Windows 7 machine.
