  • How do I add custom buttons to Formtastic?

    I'm using the Formtastic Rails gem in my app and its been great, but I would really like to add a second button, other than the bundled "commit" button that redirects back. I can't seem to find any information on how to add a custom button. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi I've run into an early problem with developing for android. I've made my own custom View (which works well). In the beginning i just added it to the layout programmatically, but i figured i could try putting it into the XML layout instead (for consistency).     Can somebody explain briefly the differences between a "WSS Web Application" and a normal "IIS Website"? I have read that a WSS web application is a "special" IIS Website with WSS featured. I also know that the content of a web application is stored in an SQL Server Website(called the content database) whereas an IIS Website stores it on a hard disk on the server. A point-by-point difference would be appreciated.

  • Custom initrd init script: how to create /dev/initctl

    I have a virtual machine (VMM is Xen 3.3) equipped with two IDE HDD's (/dev/hda and /dev/hdb). The root file system is in /dev/hda1, where Scientific Linux 5.4 is installed. /dev/hdb contains an empty ext2 file system. I want to protect the root file system from writes by the VM by using aufs (AnotherUnionFS) to layer a writable file system on top of the root file system. The changes to / will be written to the file system located on /dev/hdb. (Furthermore, outside the VM, the file backing the /dev/hda will also be set to read-only permissions, so the VMM should also prevent the VM from modifying at that level.) (The purpose of this setup: be able to corrupt a virtual machine using software-implemented fault injection but preserve the file system image in order to quickly reboot the VM to a fault-free state.) How do I get an initrd init script to do the necessary mounts to create the union file system? I've tried 2 approaches: I've tried modifying the nash script that mkinitrd creates, but I don't know what setuproot and switchroot do and how to make them use my aufs as the new root. Apparently, nobody else here knows either. (EDIT: I take that back.) I've tried building a LiveCD (using linux-live-6.3.0) and then modifying the Bash /linuxrc script from the generated initrd, and I got the mounts correct, but the final /sbin/init complains about /dev/initctl. Specifically, my /linuxrc mounts the aufs at /union. The last few lines of /linuxrc effectively do the following: cd /union mkdir -p mnt/live pivot_root . mnt/live exec sbin/chroot . sbin/init </dev/console >/dev/console 2>&1 When init starts, it outputs something like init: /dev/initctl: No such file or directory. What is supposed to create this FIFO? I found no such filename in the original linuxrc and liblinuxlive scripts. I tried creating it via "mkfifo /dev/initctl", but then init complained about a timeout opening or writing to the FIFO. Would appreciate any help or pointers. Thanks.

There are a range of HP-UX 11.11 hosts I'm unable to install rsync (I'm limited to a non-privileged user) I've extracted both rsync binary and libpopt.sl, libiconv.sl, libintl.sl from the depots into one of that user's directories: /home/zenith/rsync/ Problem is, I can't get my RH Linux box communicating with it: rsync -e --rsync-path=/home/zenith/rsync/rsync --compress=9 -pgtov --filter=+rs_/'*.log' --exclude='*' [email protected]:/home/zenith/service/logs/ /u01/rsync_depot/service/192.102.14.18/ /usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't find path for shared library: libintl.sl /usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory sh: 1644 Abort(coredump) I've added to the remote host .profile export SHLIB_PATH=/usr/lib:/home/zenith/rsync export PATH=$PATH:/home/zenith/rsync but still, no libintl.sl is found. How can I initialize the correct env variable/ get this to work?

    Hello I am trying to Burn a disk let me catch you up where I am at as I have a very SPECIFIC question and it may be difficult to explain but I will try to keep it simple: I have software already in an ISO file; I am using Daemon tools on a Windows based PC What I am wanting to do is create the actual Picture (not disk image file) that will show up on the Disk drive when I insert the disk Eg: if you put microsoft Office 11 in your comp. you open up My Computer to view all your HD and Disk drives you will see the image that microsoft put on the disk which is a silver CD and the Microsoft Office logo on the top corner. I would like to know how to edit my current ISO file or what I need to do in order to put "A PICTURE" or "AN ICON FILE" on the CD/DVD so that when I insert the disk into any PC it will show up with the PICTURE OR ICON file I chose and look proffessional.     i've registered a domain, and went to create a google apps account with that. but google told me they don't accept .ir domains, possibly trying to prevent us from building bombs (which completely makes sense), or simply lack of interest. anyway. so now i'm seeking for a way to use gmail, but with my own domain name, all without using google apps. i've added my domain to a free dnspark.net account, and it doesn't have mail forwarding, but i can set MX records. is there anyway i could accomplish my task? or is it completely impossible?

    I have made a Silverlight application which can read data from various URLs. So users of the application who control a website can: FTP text and XML files onto their website put a clientaccesspolicy.xml in their root directory enter their URL in the silverlight application at which point the silverlight application then begins reading data from their site. I would like to extend this to less technical users who do not control a website, aren't adept with FTP, etc. What is the best service on the web that: allows users to publish different kinds of data, e.g. put out text files on web allows Silverlight client access (has clientaccesspolicy.xml set up) Some ideas are: free blog services (although then they are limited to a RSS feed, or the silverlight app would have to do some screen scraping) Google Docs? free cloud services? What free services allow easy publishing of any kind of data on the web and allow Silverlight client access?

    Hello, I'm using Emacs and M-x term for a terminal. Since my typical workflow looks like this: edit some code C-x C-o to the terminal buffer (or C-x b term[Enter] or something) press Up key to use the last command press Enter to run it C-x C-o to go back I want to bind all of these (except the first step... maybe) to one command, I believe Emacs is awesome enough to do that :-) So, a command must: go to the buffer with terminal (maybe it shouldn't change any windows at all, maybe it should split the window vertially (if it weren't split already) and use the right sid) run a last command what've been run there go back to the last buffer/part of the screen Thank you! I'm not really used to the Emacs scripting system, and I hope someone will help me and someone else will be able to use the answer to improve his workflow, since I believe this is a pretty common one Examples of commands: python manage.py test python manage.py test stats python solve.py # for project-euler puzzles :-) the first and the second runs over a ssh (in a terminal) sometimes (I like developing with vagrant) I understand that it's easy to bind the first and the third ones, but the second changes too often - I'd just like to "run last command"

    Hi, I have successfuly added my own url schemes to my App. The App correctly launches using the schemes. Now I want to handle the incoming data but the delegate is not called.   • Excel 2007 Conditional Formatting is not properly using custom formula provided

    In Excel 2007, I want to conditionally color a row if it is odd numbered and then vary the coloring depending on if a specific cell (in column E) in that row contains a number (green) or empty(red). E.g. if E15 has a value of 2 and E13 has no entry, I would expect row 15 to be green and row 13 to be red. My two formulas are: To color red: =IF((MOD(ROW(),2) = 1),NOT(ISNUMBER(INDIRECT("$E$"&ROW()))), FALSE) To color green: =IF((MOD(ROW(),2) = 1),ISNUMBER(INDIRECT("E"&ROW())), FALSE) If I paste these formulas into cells on the worksheet I get the expected values. For row 15 the "red" equation is false and the "green" equation is true. For Row 13 the "red" equation is true and the "green equation is false. However if I use these formulas in the conditional formating use formula feature, all of my rows are red, any thoughts?

It works fine, however when user is successfully logged, I would like to create an Operator object and make it possible to access this object on every controller and view. I was thinking about session to do this but when session expires this object is null but user that had been logged using MembershipProvider is still logged in. Is there any way I can store my Operator object in MembershipProvider and access it on every controller and view I need?
