  • WCF .Net 4.0 is treating WebProtocolException as an unhandled exception

    - by Benjii
    Im trying to build an API using WCF and .Net 4, however when I throw the WebProtocolException, it is not displaying a nice error message like it should, instead it is treating it like an unhandled exception. I am using the WebServiceHost2Factory. Has anyone else used WebProtocolException with .net 4? An example of my call is below throw new WebProtocolException(System.Net.HttpStatusCode.BadRequest, "The DateFrom parameter is invalid", new Error() { Code = 6002, Message = "Please ensure your dates are in the following format: yyyy/MM/dd hh:mm:ss" }, null, null);

  • Need Flex Regex Validation Expression for password that allows for only alphanumeric values and requ

    - by BlueDude
    Hi I'm trying to setup a RegexpValidator that only accepts a string of alphanumeric characters between 6-30 characters long and requires one number. I'm new to Regular Expressions and everything I've tried seems to keep returning an invalid ValidationRsultEvent. Here's a chunk of code: <mx:RegExpValidator id="regexValidator" source="{passwordInput}" property="text" triggerEvent="" valid="onPasswordValidate(event)" invalid="onPasswordValidate(event)" /> private function validateRegister():void { regexValidator.expression = "^(?=.*(\d|\W)).{6,30}$"; regexValidator.validate(); }

  • How to Build a User Friendly Filter

    - by Changeling
    Our application displays tons of valuable information to our users in a table. We have a filtering capablity that is based on boolean/logic searches. Even after coaching, users still tend to not understand how to use filters because AND OR = etc are foreign to them. This filter is easy for programmers since it is easily translated into code. Any examples on how this can be made more user-friendly and less prone to error?

  • PHP find .tpl files

    - by Kyle Sevenoaks
    Hi, I have some errors in my output source code, I'm wondering if there is a tool that is able to look through the site and find which .tpl file my error is in? That, or at least give me a list of .tpls to look through. I can't seem to find this error and the site isn't very well documented. I'm not the best PHP programmer, I'd be looking for an online resource or something pretty simple. Thanks very much.

  • Use SVN Revision to label build in CCNET

    - by hitec
    I am using CCNET on a sample project with SVN as my source control. CCNET is configured to create a build on every check in. CCNET uses MSBuild to build the source code. I would like to use the latest revision number to generate AssemblyInfo.cs while compiling. How can I retrieve the latest revision from subversion and use the value in CCNET? Edit: I'm not using NAnt - only MSBuild.

  • Web player which can supports intranet url and frame timecode ?

    - by user284523
    I have looked at Flowplayer, it seems it doesn't support frame timecode. I then looked at JW Player http://www.longtailvideo.com/support/forum But I'm not sure as I can't see any sample code to do this. Anyone has experience with Flowplayer or JW Player or any other suggestion ? Could Flashplayer do this also ? Are the above players based on Flashplayer ?

  • Guidelines for calling controller methods in helper modules?

    - by keruilin
    Few questions: Is it possible to call a controller method in a helper module (e.g., application helper)? If so, how does the helper handle the rendering of views? Ignore it? In what instances would you want to call a controller method from a helper? Is it bad practice? Do you have any sample code where you're calling controller methods in helper?

  • Implementation of Nib project to Storyboard, Xcode

    - by Blake Loizides
    I have made a tabbed bar application in storyboard in xcode. I,m new to xcode. I got a Sample TableView XIB project from apple that I edited to my needs,The project has a UITableView that I Customized with Images, And with help of a certain forum member I was able to link up each image to a New View Controller. I tried to port or integrate My Nib Project Code to my StoryBoard Tabbed Bar Application.I thought I had everything right had to comment out a few things to get no errors, But the project only goes to a Blank Table View. Below are 2 links, 1 to my StoryBoard Tabbed Bar Application with the Table Code that I tried to integrate and the other My Successful Nib Project. Also is some code and pictures. If anybody has some free time and does not mind to help I would be extremely grateful for any input given. link1 - Storyboard link2 - XIB DecorsViewController_iPhone.m // // TableViewsViewController.m // TableViews // // Created by Axit Patel on 9/2/10. // Copyright Bayside High School 2010. • Validate uniqueness within a recent set

    - by Matchu
    Is there a standard Rails 3 way of detecting uniqueness within a particular scope, or is this custom validation all I can do? class Post < ActiveRecord::Base # [named scope for recent posts] validates do |post| if Post.recent.where('url = ?', post.url).count > 0 errors[:url] = 'has already been posted recently - thanks anyway!' end end end (Haven't yet tried that exact code, so there may be errors, but you get the idea.)

  • Objective-C categories in static library

    - by Vladimir
    Can you guide me how to properly link static library to iphone project. I use staic library project added to app project as direct dependency (target - general - direct dependecies) and all works OK, but categories. A category defined in static library is not working in app. So my question is how to add static library with some categories into other project? And in general, what is best practice to use in app project code from other projects?

  • Good source for studying professional software development with Visual Studio 2010?

    - by Ben
    I spent a lot of time reading blogs and tutorials on the Net regarding how to do this and that with VS2010, but I thought it would be better to learn it in a more systematic way. Do you know of a good website/book that will teach me how to use Visual Studio 2010/2008 Team System + Microsoft Project to perform various tasks from Project Management to code development and testing in the way the software was designed for? Thank you.

  • PHP and Permissions

    - by Moe
    Hi, I recently moved my website to a new host and now am experiencing some broken code.. I have an uploading script that is now returning this: move_uploaded_file() failed to open stream: Permission denied in *.. I've set the upload directory to 777 which worked fine, but my script is needed to have top level permissions.. (As the script itself sets permission to directories, does lots of copying etc) Is there a way in apache I can set the PHP script to the owner of all the folders on my server? Thanks
