  • How do I add Polylines in gmaps4rails v2

    I upgraded to the latest version of gmaps4rails (v2) and am having some issues getting polylines drawing. I can get markers working with the sample code on the wiki, but if I change the addMarkers to addPolylines, nothing renders in the map.     this is likely a naive question, but I want to do this right the first time. I have a MVC solution which has the following: Data project - C# Services project - C# MVC Web Project - ASP.NET MVC Test Project Currently, I am using the MVC2 source as a means to debug my own code. I do not plan on checking that in, but I realize once I go back to the MVC2 DLL, my solution will change. I'm pretty sure I just shouldn't check in stuff that changes with each build: the bin folder on the Web project, for example. Is there a list of what not to commit to source control? :)

    Hello, Hello, I am quite new to iphone development. I have a situation here. I have some labels which can be dragged across the screen. When any of these labels are dragged to some textfield and released over a textfields UIlabel test is assigned to that text field. Now the problem is this I want to assign the text of UILabel to some specific position in textfield according to release of textfield i.e If user releases at the beginning of text field then it should be appended at the beginning and if somewhere near end of text of textfield then it should be appendended at the end.     Hi guys, I'm working with the jQuery Validation plugin and I wrote the following code which adds a class to the element's parent if not valid (as well as inserting the actual error message at a particular location within the parent): errorPlacement: function(error, element) { element.parent().addClass('error'); error.insertBefore(element.parent().children("br")); } This works, however, if a field's content is corrected and becomes valid, the class obviously doesn't get removed from its parent (actually, neither does the error element, instead it just gets a display: none; CSS property). How can I check if an element becomes valid and remove its parent class if so ? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you !

  • Add version control to existing SQL Server database

    I am part of a development team currently working with a database that does not have any kind of source control. We work with SQL Server 2008 R2 and have always managed the DB directly with SSMS. It now has ~340 tables and ~1600 stored procedures, plus a few triggers and views, so it is not a small DB. My goal is to have the DB under version control, so I have been reading articles, like Scott Allen's series (http://bitly.com/9cJmGR) and many old SO related questions. But I am still unable to decide on how to proceed. What I'm thinking of is to script the database schema in one file, then procedures, triggers and views in one file each. Then keep everything versioned under Mercurial. But of course, every member of the team can access SSMS and directly change the schema and procedures, with the possibility that any of us can forget to replicate those changes in the versioned files. What better options are there? And, did I forget any element worth having source control of?
