    I have installed XAAMP on my win7 machine and I have the apache server/mysql running on there.   • Read array dump output and generates the correspondent XML file

    Hi, The text below is the dump of a multidimensional array, dumped by the var_dump() PHP function. I need a Java function that reads a file with a content like this (attached) and returns it in XML. For a reference, in site http://pear.php.net/package/Var_Dump/ you can find the code (in PHP) that generates dumps in XML, so all neeeded logic is there (I think).     In a simple aspx page I can have a custom JavaScript function postback as described in http://www.xefteri.com/articles/show.cfm?id=18 The simple page uses a linkbutton: <asp:LinkButton id="CreateFile" runat="server" onclick="CreateFile_Click" /> with code behind that has the VB subroutine: Sub CreateFile_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) and a Javascript custom function that does: __doPostBack('CreateFile',''); When I move the code to a content page with a corresponding master page the simple example no longer works. I'm aware that server control IDs are changed in the generated HTML when a master page is involved, and I'm using the correct IDs in the Javascript. As an example, for the LinkButton ID I use '<%=CreateFile.ClientID%' for the Javascript in the generated HTML. Never the less, I still can't figure out how to get postbacks from the Javascript when master pages are involved. More accurately, with a master page in the mix the code won't even compile but results in: 'CreateFile_Click' is not a member of 'ASP.testmaster_aspx' If I remove onclick="CreateFile_Click" from the LinkButton markup it compiles but does not work. Similary if onclick is removed from the simpler version without a master page it does not work either, as expected. Any input on how to get postback from a custom Javascript function when using master pages would be much appreciated.

    Hi Al, I need to make a page which displays a video. Firefox and and Opera support the OGG format, no problem there. Chrome is ... "stupid" and does not recognize OGG. Does Chrome on Windows know how to handle WMV? I already have them encoded, and no I cannot recode new videos since the media is limited in spaced (CDROM). I know I could add an own Id at RadioButtonFor and refer to that with my label, but that's not pretty good, is it? Especially because I'm in a loop and cannot just use the name "value" with an added number, that would be end up in multiple Dom Ids in my final HTML markup as well. Shouldn't be a good solution for this?

  • iPhone OpenGL ES: How do I use gravity vector to correctly transform scene for augmented reality

    I'm trying figure out how to get an OpenGL specified object to be displayed correctly according to the device orientation (ie. according to the gravity vector from the accelerometer, and heading from compass). The GLGravity sample project has an example which is almost like this (despite ignoring heading), but it has some glitches. For example, the teapot jumps 180deg as the device viewing angle crosses the horizon, and it also rotates spuriously if you tilt the device from portrait into landscape. This is fine for the context of this app, as it just shows off an object and it doesn't matter that it does these things. But it means that the code just doesn't work when you attempt to emulate real life viewing of an OpenGL object according to the device's orientation. What happens is that it almost works, but the heading rotation you apply from the compass gets "corrupted" by the spurious additional rotations seen in the GLGravity example project.     I need to access the Selected Event of all the listobjects in all the worksheets of my workbook but when I access worksheet.listobject, that object apparently belongs to Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.ListObject and so doesn't have any events where as the table list object belongs to Microsoft.Office.Tools.Excel.ListObject. And I read that Microsoft.Office.Tools.Excel.ListObject.InnerObject = Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.ListObject but i don't know how to use it. Pls Help Thanks, Kavita

On the account, I have a "PlatformTypeId" field, which I need to condition on (multiple values), among other criterions. I'm using Lambda expressions, to build the query.     I'd like to do a Regex.Split on some separators but I'd like to keep the separators. To give an example of what I'm trying: "abc[s1]def[s2][s3]ghi" --> "abc", "[s1]", "def", "[s2]", "[s3]", "ghi" The regular expression I've come up with is new Regex("\\[|\\]|\\]\\["). However, this gives me the following: "abc[s1]def[s2][s3]ghi" --> "abc", "s1", "def", "s2", "", "s3", "ghi" The separators have disappeared (which makes sense given my regex). Is there a way to write the regex so that the separators themselves are preserved?

  • EF4, self tracking, repository pattern, SQL Server 2008 AND SQL Server Compact

    Hi, I am creating a project using Entity Frameworks 4 and self tracking entities. I want to be able to either get the data from a sql server 2008 database or from sql server compact database (with the switch being in the config file). I am using the repository pattern and I will have the self tracking entities sitting in a separate assembly. Do I need two edmx files? If so, how do I generate only one set of STE's in the separate assembly? Also do I need to generate two context classes as well? I am unsure of the plumbing for all this. Can anyone help? Darren I forgot to add that the two databases will be identical and that the compact version is for offline usage.

    Hello there, I have been thinking about the optimal way to create an XML file using data from a Dataset AND according to the rules of an XML schema. I've been searching around for a bit, and I failed to find a way in which I only take the data from the Dataset and put it inside a XML tags, with the tags being defined by an already-existing schema. So it might go like this: 1- Create Dataset and fill its rows with data. 2- Create an XML according to an XML schema rules. 3- Fill said XML file with data from Dataset such that data is taken from the Dataset while structure of the XML file is taken from the XML schema.

    Is there a good solution for picking a file in an android application? I need the user to be able to browse their SD card for a file they would like to load. However, it cannot use an outside application (like andExplorer). It must stay contained inside my application. I saw one a while ago that's hosted on google code and used by the Gameboid, SNESoid and other similar emulators to pick roms. If any one can point me to that one that'd be just as great. Thanks!
