    I am looking for GWT to C++ communication solution. Currently I am trying to figure out how to run WSDL in GWT, but actually, have absolutely no experience in WSDL, and only little in GWT. So, my question is about feasibility of working with WSDL in GWT (and how?) and other approaches would also be interesting if exist. I am trying to avoid coding Java on the server and coding JavaScript on client.

    hi, i have a form with 2 fields username: password: and a submit button. the user will enter his username and password for a remote website(not my website or my domain. eg. Gmail.com). i want once he click the submit button.a jQuery script check these login info on gmail.com and return back the result.they are wrong or working logins. and notify the user if it is wrong logins but if it is good working login info the form will submit. i don't know much jQuery but i am good with php. my search find that in order to do that i need to make cross-domain scripting by using php proxy between my jQuery script and the remote domain. i found also the simple php proxy. which looks great.but i dont know how to make the jQuery thing that connects all this together.

  • MooTools Problem in IE with Request

    I have this class method in a mootools class: getData : function(){ var r = new Request.JSON({ url : this.container.getAttribute('data-url'), method : 'post', onSuccess : function(j){ this.cards = j; this.prepareQuiz(); }.bind(this) }).send(); }, In any browser aside from IE this works fine, but in IE I get a this.cards is not defined in a method that occurs after the this.prepareQuiz method does it's stuff. I narrowed the problem to this section by adding an if ($defined(this.cards)) before the this.prepareQuiz call and if I just keep refreshing the page 1 out of every 5 or so times it will work. So the this.cards variable is not being set some of the time for some reason. Why would this happen?

    In my rails app I have a search bar where users can search other users. Currently when a User submits the search from, they're redirected to a "results" page. I want to load those results in a div on the same page.. I was able to do this with my websites navigation links, but I'm pretty new to jQuery and rails and can't figure this one out... my jQuery corresponding to my navigation links: $(function() { $('#links a').live('click', function() { $('#pages').load(this.href).fadeIn('slow'); return false; }); }); my attempt to do the same with my search function... $(function() { $('#search').submit(function() { $('#pages').load(this.href).fadeIn('slow'); }); }); any help would be much appreciated~ along with some useful jQuery tutorials for a newbie!!

(making use of code below) [ePhone.html] <script type="text/javascript" src="js/prototype.lite.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/moo.fx.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/litebox-1.0.js"></script> The Litebox plugin also required to add onload="initLightbox()" within the BODY tag of ePhone.html. From the above code, I can load ePhone.html's content(#content div) to my (apDiv2) of my index.html. However, the lightbox effect is no longer work. I've also try loading the whole html instead of only #content: $('#apDiv2').load('ePhone.html'); but it still doesn't work. Please help, thx

    Hello, I have a little issue concerning an animation-effect which loads a certain div into the body of the site. Let me be more precise: I have a div with the id 'contact': <div id="contact">content</div> The jquery code loads the contents within that div, when I press the link with the id 'ajax_contact': <a href="#" id="ajax_contact">link</a>. The code is working perfectly. However, I want #contact to be HIDDEN when the site loads, i.e. the default state must be non-visible. Only when the user clicks the link #ajax_contact, the div must appear.     Hey everyone. I've written this simple function that is supposed to load a portion of an XML file on mouseenter. It works fine when I specify the data source explicitly, shown below. I have a number of '.invest-port-thumb' divs, each with a unique link. The following code works fine—but it loads the whole XML file—and I only want a portion: $(document).ready(function() { $('.invest-port-thumb a').mouseenter(function() { $('#slider-name').load(this.href); }); }); This code also works fine—loading only the 'cName' portion that I want it to load...Except that this code refers to one of the files, instead of the value of this.href. $(document).ready(function() { $('.invest-port-thumb a').mouseenter(function() { $('#slider-name').load('port/atd.xml cName'); }); }); I guess what I'm saying, syntax wise—How can I combine this.href and the data matching cName?   • How to send data after form has been validated using jQuery?

    I have a simple email address sign up form as follows: <form action="" id="newsletterform" method="get"> <input type="text" name="email" class="required email" id="textnewsletter" /> <input type="submit" id="signup" /> </form> Here's what I want to be able to do: Validate the form to look for an empty string or a incorrectly filled out email address one the user clicks submit or hits enter. If one of the above happens (empty string etc), I would like to generate an error to let the user know. Then once the user fills out a correctly formed email address and hits submit (or enter) I want the form to send the email address to wherever I specify in the jQuery code and then generate a little "Thank you for signing up notice", all without reloading the browser. I have looked at too many tutorials and my eyes are pretty much aching at this stage, so please don't point me to any urls (I most likely have been there). If someone could provide a barebone outline of what to do It would be so much appreciated.

  • JQuery .load() function silently fails when offline

    I'm trying to write an iPhone offline webapp using jqtouch/jquery. When I disable my connectivity, it looks like the jquery .load() function silently fails and doesn't even call its callback function. I've set $.ajaxSetup ({cache: true}); but it seems to have no effect. I also have my manifest file etc. working fine - the only issue is the .load() function. Any ideas?
