  • Sinatra on Passenger always fails on first attempt

    I have a small Sinatra app I'm running on a shared hosting account using Passenger. However, the first time the app is accessed after a while, I get a Passenger error page saying the application could not be started. Usually because Sinatra could not be found. I am assuming this is just a normal delay from when a new instance is spawned. However, is there a way to delay trying to load Siantra until it Passenger has fully loaded?

    I create a global hot key to show a window by PInvoking RegisterHotKey(). But to do this I need that window's HWND, which doesn't exist until the window is loaded, that means shown for the first time. But I don't want to show the window before I can set the hot key. Is there a way to create a HWND for that window that is invisible to the user?

However they still have the subdirectories. Does anyone know of a guide I can walk through which might explain how you do this, especially to include the revolution-slider which has a whole subdirectory of CSS and images.     What do I pass as the first parameter "object" to the function setattr(object, name, value), to set variables on the current module? For example: setattr(object, "SOME_CONSTANT", 42); giving the same effect as: SOME_CONSTANT = 42 within the module containing these lines (with the correct object). I'm generate several values at the module level dynamically, and as I can't define __getattr__ at the module level, this is my fallback.

    I am writing a C++/CLI assembly that uses some native DLLs. During compile I can list them as "assembly link resource" so that the assembly is aware of these dependencies. When I use gacutils, it properly pulls all the native DLLs into GAC and they get properly loaded from GAC. Now, some of these native DLLs are localized, and have MUI files. How do I get those to be automatically copied to GAC as well?

    When I do something like the following: $site = ORM::factory('site')->where('name', '=', 'Test Site')->find(); $users = $site->users; $deletedusers = $users->where('deleted', '=', '1')->find_all(); $nondeletedusers = $users->where('deleted', '=', '0')->find_all(); The contents of $deletedusers is correct, but the $nondeletedusers contains every non-deleted user, not just the ones in the loaded $site. What am I doing wrong?

I understand that dev_appserver behaves absolutely correctly because I can't install modules with PIP on GAE servers.     Hello, I have an application that have EF 16 classes that share this information: They all are classes only with a key field and a description. I think it should be a waste if I make a controller with just 1 method just to present a form to fill these classes info, then I was thinking in to make a generic form(with key, description) and dynamically fill the right class through a sort of selection the selected info in any way, any good suggestion or pattern to do that? Where the generic methods should be located.
