  • Loading index in MemoryIndex instance

    Hello, Is there any way to load an existing index into an instance of MemoryIndex?. I have an application which uses Hibernate Search so I can use index() in FullTextEntityManager instance to index an object. I'd like to recover back the created index and insert it into a MemoryIndex instance to execute several queries over it. Is it possible? Thanks.

    How would I execute a query equivalent to "select top 10" in couch db? For example I have a "schema" like so: title body modified and I want to select the last 10 modified documents. As an added bonus if anyone can come up with a way to do the same only per category. So for: title category body modified return a list of latest 10 documents in each category. I am just wandering if such a query is possible in couchdb.

    My application allows the user to create their own methods indirectly and I later need to refer to these methods. I am wondering if there is a way (for error checking purposes) to test if a method exists without trying to execute it. If I just try and call the method and it doesn't exist this will crash my application.

    I'm implementing a compiler in my Compilers class, I'm using Qt & C++. After I have generated the machine code from the source code, I'm executing the virtual machine that will execute the call. I'm facing a problem here, I'm using readyRead() signal to get output from the virtual machine, but how can I know that the virtual machine wants to read data from the user? I wanna show the user an input dialog each time the machine asks for input.

I want to prevent this focus on the input field how can I do that with javascript in greasemonkey?     In the web app I'm working on I want to do a little slide up notification, like on twitter or your desktop. jQuery's .slideDown does exactly what I want, but it's upside down. The .slideUp doesn't execute an upside down version of slideDown. Instead it hides stuff, like after your cleaning up an old message you've displayed with slideDown. So what's the simplest code to do an upside down slideDown() in jQuery?

  • Memory Regions displayed in SMAPS output with no permissions

    If I see the output of cat /proc//smaps, I find that there are some memory regions with which no read/write/execute permissions have been associated. Also these region are mapped to inode number 0. I wanted to know how does a region end up in such a state? Is it some sort of memory leak? Can these regions be ever used again by the process?
