• iPhone Exception Handling

  I have one crash in my iPhone application that does throw an NSException. The crash reports are completely ambiguous in where the error is and what exactly is causing it. Is there a smart way for me to set a top level exception handler somewhere to see what is causing it? I can't replicate the problem myself, but a few of my beta users certainly can. What's a smart way to handle a problem of this nature?

  There are several questions out there that ask the same question. However the answers they received I cannot understand, so here goes: Similar questions: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1874277/dynamically-load-assembly-and-manually-force-path-to-get-referenced-assemblies ; http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22012/loading-assemblies-and-its-dependencies-closed The question in short: I need to figure out how dependencies, ie References in my modules can be loaded dynamically. Right now I am getting "The system cannot find the file specified" on Assemblies referenced in my so called modules. I cannot really get how to use the AssemblyResolve event... The longer version I have one application, MODULECONTROLLER, that loads separate modules. These "separate modules" are located in well-known subdirectories, like appBinDir\Modules\Module1 appBinDir\Modules\Module2 Each directory contains all the DLLs that exists in the bin-directory of those projects after a build. So the MODULECONTROLLER loads all the DLLs contained in those folders using this code: byte[] bytes = File.ReadAllBytes(dllFileFullPath); Assembly assembly = null; assembly = Assembly.Load(bytes); I am, as you can see, loading the byte[]-array (so I dont lock the DLL-files). Now, in for example MODULE1, I have a static reference called MyGreatXmlProtocol. The MyGreatXmlProtocol.dll then also exists in the directory appBinDir\Modules\Module1 and is loaded using the above code When code in the MODULE1 tries to use this MyGreatXmlProtocol, I get: Could not load file or assembly 'MyGreatXmlProtocol, Version=1.0.3797.26527, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. So, in a post (like this one) they say that To my understanding reflection will load the main assembly and then search the GAC for the referenced assemblies, if it cannot find it there, you can then incorparate an assemblyResolve event: First; is it really needed to use the AssemblyResolve-event to make this work? Shouldnt my different MODULEs themself load their DLLs, as they are statically referenced? Second; if AssemblyResolve is the way to go - how do I use it?   Is there a way to use jQuery (or generic javascript) to disable CSS inheritance on a block level? For example, if I am pulling in an external resource via javascript, say pastie.org, they will have their own CSS that my CSS overrides. I would like to place the embed code into its own container that has CSS inheritance disabled. This is not my own CSS structure, so I can't rename IDs Classes or inline anything to make it work, the holy grail of inheritance blocking is my last resort.

• Unable to add PageFunction to my project.

  I add to my project a PageFunction and I get a dozen of the following error and the project won't compile: 'ResourceDictionary' root element is a generic type and requires a x:Class attribute to support the x:TypeArguments attribute specified on the root element tag. Basically I get an error for each DataTemplate I merge in the ResourceDictionary, has anyone encoutered this problem before? Note: I use VB.NET 3.5 on VS 2010.

• Only error showing is null, rss feed reader not working

• Activity gets killed while executing the camera intent

  In my app I call the system camera to take a picture, and then handle the result in onActivityResult. You know, the usual. It used to work, but now my calling activity gets killed while I'm taking the picture. Specifically, onDestroy() is called on my activity right after I press the camera shutter. The photo does get taken & saved (I've checked that the file gets written on the SD card). After I accept the photo, instead of returning to the calling activity and invoking onActivityResult, the previous activity in the activity stack gets called. I see no exceptions in the logcat. My custom exception handler doesn't get called. If it matters, my app also includes a service that listens to GPS updates, but I unregister all the receivers in onPause(). • In flex how do I pass data retrieved from a remote object service to a modules interface?

  I found at this Adobe tutorial a nice "RemoteService" class that creates a RemoteObject and contains the functions for handling the result and fault events. If I wanted to use this approach, how could I pass the data from the result handler to interfaces that modules from the main application could use? I could put the RemoteService/RemoteObject in the modules, but (in my opinion- and I could be wrong) the best design seems to be using the remote calls in the main app and passing the data along to the modules.

• ASP.NET MVC jQuery: Shoud we be concerned about a lot of jQuery/javascript on a View?

  We are moving from WebForms to MVC and and using a lot of jQuery. I appears we have a lot of jQuery/JavaScript in our Views, is this common and are there any concerns about security. The obvious step is to refactor into plugins and more generic UserControls etc, but this jQuery would still be "visible" by looking at js files etc. We are validating everything on the server-side anyway but should we be concerned?
