  • PHP class referencing confusion across multiple files

    I have an index.php file that has 3 includes <?php require_once('mod.php'); $mod = new Mod(); require_once('start.php'); require_once('tools.php'); ....some code.... ?> I need to be able to reference the $mod object inside the start.php and tools.php. How do I pass that object to be referenced by those 2 other require files? Basically the mod.php is a class that has an array list generated in its __construct(). I want to use that array list data inside the startup.php and tools.php file but not sure how to pass in the existing one without calling "new" inside both of those files separately which doesn't do what I need since it resets everything. Thanks!

  • How to copy referenced assembly's dependecies to ASP.NET output bin folder?

    Hi all, In Visual Studio 2010, I have project A (asp.net application). Project A references project B (class library). Project B references assembly C (direct reference to a DLL). When building project A, only project A and project B binaries are present in the /bin directory of project A, but not the assembly C. Why is that? If project B depends on assembly C, why is assembly C not copied together to the output folder? "Copy local" is already set to "true" for assembly C. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi all, I'm implementing a web service on the xfire plugin. I was wondering how I'm supposed to handle the errors. I tried with this setup but the error is not returned to the SOAP client: GaSession[] myMethod( String userId ) throws MyException{ GaUser user = GaUser.findByUserId( userId ) if (!user) throw new MyException("user ${userId} does not exist") // do stuff and return valid results } Is there a standard way to handle errors and return them to the client in a clear way? My log is full of messages like: 2010-06-13 18:20:40,926 [Thread-289] DEBUG aegis.XMLClassMetaInfoManager - Mapping file : /com/mycompany/MyClass.aegis.xml not found. Is there a way to fix this?   • if a JAR is placed on app servers's classpath how do we reference it from JSP

    On our application we are getting an error saying: PWC6117: File "/struts-tags" not found code in the file thats giving error is: <%@ taglib prefix="s" uri="/struts-tags" %> This file is in struts2-core.jar which is placed on the classpath of the app server (Sun 9.1). The code will work fine and not complain when the jar is actually in WEB-INF/lib of the application, compared to being on classpath of the appserver. But we can not change that. it has to be on appservers classpath. But how should we change our code so that this error goes away? I can create mapping in my web.xml so that tag uri's are change. but what should taglib-location be changed to? so that it references to app servers classpath? <taglib> <taglib-uri>/WEB-INF/struts-tags.tld</taglib-uri> <taglib-location>/WEB-INF/struts-tags.tld</taglib-location> </taglib>

  • Error : The Type Initializer of Daemon.Global threw an exception in c#

    I am using the below class file, where some variables are declared to use in the entire application. Now I used that variable BlockLogOut in another class file to make the value true. I just put this below line and getting error in it.. TypeInitializationException Global.BlockLogOut = True; The weird thing is, it was working fine for many months and i am getting this error now on the above line. Of course i was modifying some other stuffs in the application, but surely not this class file.   • MySQL transaction conundrum

    I need to perform several inserts in a single atomic transaction. For example: start transaction; insert ... insert ... commit; However when MySQL encounters an error it aborts only the particular statement that caused the error. For example, if there is an error in the second insert statement the commit will still take place and the first insert statement will be recorded. Thus, when errors occur a MySQL transaction is not really a transaction. To overcome this problem I have used an error exit handler where I rollback the transaction. Now the transaction is silently aborted but I don't know what was the problem. So here is the conundrum for you: How can I both make MySQL abort a transaction when it encounters an error, and pass the error code on to the caller?

    I cannot figure out what is wrong with the XPATH when trying to extract a value from a webpage table.     I have a table where all of the cells are INPUT tags. I have a function which looks for the first input cell and replaces it with it's value. So this: <tr id="row_0" class="datarow"> <td><input class="tabcell" value="Injuries"></td> <td><input class="tabcell" value="01"></td> becomes this: <tr id="row_0" class="datarow"> <td>Injuries</td> <td><input class="tabcell" value="01"></td> Here is the first part of the function: function setRowLabels() { var row = []; $('.dataRow').each(function(i) { row.push($('td input:eq(0)', this).val() + ' - '); $('td input:eq(0)', this).replaceWith($('td input:eq(0)', this).val()); $('td input:gt(0)', this).each(function(e) { etcetera But when the page reloads, the first column is not an input type, so it changes the second column to text too! Can I tell it to only change the first column, no matter what the type is? I tried $('td:eq(0)', this).replaceWith($('td:eq(0)', this).val()); but it does not work. Any suggestions appreciated! It does not compile when just using i++, but to me it looks the same, because I'm "incrementing" i, then I'm requesting the value at the given address and then I'm requesting the address of this value?!

  • Old functions return 'undefined' error once I add a jquery reference

    Disregard this question: I've simply confused <script src="..."></script> tag and <script> [some functions] </scipt> tags. I have this function function OnLoad() { ShowHideConfirmAnswers(); return true; } triggered by onload event: <body onload=OnLoad()> It works fine until I add src="jquery-1.4.2.js" to the script element. From this moment I get "OnLoad is not defined" error, and the same happens to every other javascript function.

Consider the following class: //Will be similar to bost::reference_wrapper template<class T> class Ref { public: explicit Ref(T& t) : m_ptr(&t) {} private: T* m_ptr; }; and this function returning a double double fun() {return 1.0;} If we now have double x = 1.0; const double xc = 1.0; Ref<double> ref1(x); //OK Ref<const double> refc1(cx); //OK good so far, however: //Ref<double> ref2( fun() ); //Fails as I want it to Ref<const double> refc2( fun() ); //Works but I would like it not to Is there a way to modify Ref (the way you prefer) but not the function fun, so that the last line returns a compile-time error? Please notice you can modify the constructor signature (as long as I am able to initialise the Ref as intended). Thank you in advance for your help!

  • What's the best practice in case something goes wrong in Perl code?

    I saw code which works like this: do_something($param) || warn "something went wrong\n"; and I also saw code like this: eval { do_something_else($param); }; if($@) { warn "something went wrong\n"; } Should I use eval/die in all my subroutines? Should I write all my code based on stuff returned from subroutines? Isn't eval'ing the code ( over and over ) gonna slow me down?
