    I'm using a jQuery plugin that has its functions defined as such: $('#mydiv').pluginAction({ someproperty: val, format: 'mm hh', labels: ['yes', 'no', 'maybe'], labels1: ['never', 'always'] }); In my HTML page, I have multiple DIVs that have the same properties for format, labels, labels1, but different values for someproperty. Is there some type of JavaScript notation I can take advantage of to shorten the definition so that I don't have to have duplicate code?

    Hi, I am having a link <a id="test" href="text.php">test</a> I have the following jquery code $("#test").live("click", function(){ $("#myDiv").load($("#text").attr("href")); }); trying to load the href of #test inside myDiv. But of course when click, start .load the href AND the browser changes to text.php. Is there any way to achieve this. Thanks

    I've got this plain HTML: "Many things are in my room: a bed, a desk, and a computer." And these phrases: "things are" "are in my room" "room: a bed" In JQuery, is there some way to loop through the phrase list, and highlight the phrases as they appear in the text, and have the overlap delineated by color, or border, etc? I know there are simple highlighters but that won't do the trick. Maybe something with overlaying opacities? Thanks!

    Hi, Regarding to jQuery utility function jQuery.data() the online documentation says: "The jQuery.data() method allows us to attach data of any type to DOM elements in a way that is safe from circular references and therefore from memory leaks. " Why to use: document.body.foo = 52; can result a memory leak -or in what conditions- so that I should use jQuery.data(document.body, 'foo', 52); Should I ALWAYS prefer .data() instead of using expandos in any case?
