  • Data mining google's web search results?

    Currently, i have a google web search. If a user searches starbucks, I would only want to retrieve the company or product information, not some other weird links like blog pages, using javascript, is it possible to do so? if yes, how am i able to do it?   • How do I query/filter a to-many relationship in Core Data

    I have Customer, Event and Address objects in my data model. Both Customer and Address have a one-to-many relationship to Event. I can get the distinct list of addresses for a customer's events for by doing this: NSSet *addressSet = [customer valueForKeyPath:@"events.address"]; For the part of the UI I'm working on now, I need to display the address from the most recent event prior to now that has an address. I'm starting to go down the path of creating a NSFetchRequest, setting it's entity, sort descriptors, predicate and then looping through the results, but it seems like a lot of code. Am I missing some obvious way of filtering/sorting on the "events" relationship of the Customer object or is creating the NSFetchRequest the best solution?

    I would like to update a list item using SharePoint and am stuggling to find 1 decent CAML example. Here is what I want to do, in SQL my query would look something like this update [table] set field='value' where fieldID = id; so this would mean I have 1 item in a list I would like to update 1 field on given the ID of that listitem.     Say I have a list of n elements, I know there are n! possible ways to order these elements. What is an algorithm to generate all possible orderings of this list? Example, I have list [a, b, c]. The algorithm would return [[a, b, c], [a, c, b,], [b, a, c], [b, c, a], [c, a, b], [c, b, a]]. I'm reading this here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permutation#Algorithms_to_generate_permutations But Wikipedia has never been good at explaining. I don't understand much of it.

    I have been looking around at web applications and websites with rich graphs, charts, and data visualization and for the most part have been able to determine which frameworks or tools websites are using. However I was looking over 'resumup.com' and couldn't determine what they are using. Does anyone know off hand or can you tell?     I want to construct a value in a list comprehension, but also filter on that value. For example: [expensive_function(x) for x in generator where expensive_function(x) < 5] I want to avoid calling expensive_function twice per iteration. The generator may return an infinite series, and list comprehensions aren't lazily evaluated. So this wouldn't work: [y in [expensive_function(x) for x in generator where expensive_function(x)] where y < 5] I could write this another way, but it feels right for a list comprehension and I'm sure this is a common usage pattern (possible or not!).

    Hi there, I'm looking for a data structure that will act like a Queue so that I can hava First In First Out behaviour, but ideally I would also be able to see if an element exists in that Queue in constant time as you can do with a HashMap, rather than the linear time that you get with a LinkedList. I thought a LinkedHashMap might do the job, but although I could make an iterator and just take and then remove the first element of the iteration to produce a sort of poll() method, I'm wondering if there is a better way.     I am working on an application which has got some sensitive information. I am aware that it would be difficult for a layman to hack into iphone to get the information. If I use SQLite directly I have something called SQLite Cipher to encrypt / encode the database. Is there anyway where I can have the same way of encrypting the coredata so it makes it hard for hackers to get into the data. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks in Advance

  • Checking an empty Core Data relationship (SQLite)

    I have a to-many relationship in my data model, and I'd like to get all the objects that have no corresponding objects in the relationship. For example: Customer - Purchases I want to get all Customers that have 0 Purchases. I've read somewhere that I could use "Purchases[SIZE] = 0", but this gives me an unsupported function expression error, which I think means it doesn't work with a SQLite backing store (which I don't want to switch from, due to some performance constraints). Any ideas?

    Hi, I feel this is something to do with my httpd setup for apache. I'm using mod_rewrite if that helps but I think that only effects the url. It seems when I output some data such as: $sMessage = 'Error'; echo $sMessage; It works fine but when I do this: $sMessage = 'Error'; echo ''+$sMessage+''; It returns 0. Very odd!

The last requirement makes bloom filters seem like a good fit, but I'm not sure about their speed, any other recommendations?
