  Using V3 of the google maps API, is there any reliable way to format addresses with the line break? If I wanted to, I guess I could look for the proper types (street_number,route, etc) as well. I'd love it if anyone had a better way than what I"m doing here...

  Dear all, Based on your experience, which is the route to go for a multi-tenant user login? One user login per account. Which means if there is one user that has access to multiple account, there will be redundancy of record in the database One user login for all account that she has privileges to. Which means one user record has access to multiple account if she has privileges to that account. From your experience, which one is better and why? I was thinking to choose the latter, but I don't know whether it will cause security issue or less flexibility. Thank you for sharing your experience.

• How to use Caret to tell which line it is in from JTextPane? (Java)

  Hi all. Problem: I have CaretListener and DocumentListener listening on a JTextPane. I need an algorithm that is able to tell which line is the caret at in a JTextPane, here's an illustrative example: Result: 3rd line Result: 2nd line Result: 4th line and if the algorithm can tell which line the caret is in the JTextPane, it should be fairly easy to substring whatever that is in between the parentheses as the picture (caret is at character m of metadata): -- This is how I divide the entire text that I retrieved from the JTextPane into sentences: String[] lines = textPane.getText().split("\r?\n|\r", -1); The sentences in the textPane is separated with \n. Problem is, how can I manipulate the caret to let me know at which position and which line it is in? I know the dot of the caret says at which position it is, but I can't tell which line it is at. Assuming if I know which line the caret is, then I can just do lines[<line number>] and manipulate the string from there. In Short: How do I use CaretListener and/or DocumentListener to know which line the caret is currently at, and retrieve the line for further string manipulation? Please help. Thanks.   I'm looking into developing a multi-tenant SaaS application, and I found several sites that describe a solid way to separate the data using tenantIDs and updateable views. e.g. This blog post It all hinges on the ability to have your user accounts authenticated from a master users table and then having their respective database connections use those user-specific credentials. This way, the views can pull the userid and map it to the tenantID to display that user's view. However, most PHP frameworks tend to be very static when it comes to database connections (stored in text config files). They appear to be at odds. Does anyone know: a) how to make CodeIgniter handle this gracefully? b) a different PHP framework that might?

• Replacing all GUIDs in a file with new GUIDs from the command line

  I have a file containing a large number of occurrences of the string Guid="GUID HERE" (where GUID HERE is a unique GUID at each occurrence) and I want to replace every existing GUID with a new unique GUID. This is on a Windows development machine, so I can generate unique GUIDs with uuidgen.exe (which produces a GUID on stdout every time it is run). I have sed and such available (but no awk oddly enough). I am basically trying to figure out if it is possible (and if so, how) to use the output of a command-line program as the replacement text in a sed substitution expression so that I can make this replacement with a minimum of effort on my part. I don't need to use sed -- if there's another way to do it, such as some crazy vim-fu or some other program, that would work as well -- but I'd prefer solutions that utilize a minimal set of *nix programs since I'm not really on *nix machines. To be clear, if I have a file like this: etc etc Guid="A" etc etc Guid="B" I would like it to become this: etc etc Guid="C" etc etc Guid="D" where A, B, C, D are actual GUIDs, of course. (for example, I have seen xargs used for things similar to this, but it's not available on the machines I need this to run on, either. I could install it if it's really the only way, although I'd rather not)

• IE 8 remove line break between nodes with JavaScript

  Ok i have a list of HTML nodes which should be inline with no spacing between them. The problem is, that the nodes are written from a CMS and therefore will come with all sorts of linebreaks and spaces. Therefore I'm removing the spaces with JS using the method descibed in this question. The problem is, however, that in IE (not 9) the white spaces isn't part of the childrens list of the parent node, rendering the method useless in IE. However IE 7 (or at least IE 9 emulating IE 7) ignores the linebreaks, so that one is in the clear. That leaves IE 8 as the troublemaker. I discovered that the line break is actually a part of the outerHTML and that a simple reset of the outerHTML did the trick - like so: node.outerHTML = node.outerHTML However this will reset the node intirely and therefore removing all events and other settings on the node, which isn't really any good. So my question is now: Is there a way to remove that linebreak from the nodes outerHTML whitout resetting the node? I've tried with zoom: 1, but to no avail. Hope anyone has any experience with this.

  Hi, I'm trying to use putty in command line from an hudson job. The command is the following one: putty -ssh -2 -P 22 USERNAME@SERVER_ADDR -pw PASS -m command.txt Where 'command.txt' is a shell script to execute in the server through SSH. If i launch this command from the Window command prompt, it works, the shell script is executed on the server machine. If i launch a build of the hudson job configured with this batch command, it doesn't work. The build is running... and running... and running.. without doing anything, and i have to stop it manually. So my question is: Is it possible to launch an external programm (i.e. putty) from an hudson job ? ps: i tried SSH plugin but... not a really good plugin (pre/post build, fail status of the commands launched not caught by hudson, etc.) Thanks in advance for your help.   Hi all, still plugging away at teaching myself Perl. I'm trying to write some code that will count the lines of a file that contain double letters and then place parentheses around those double letters. Now what I've come up with will find the first ocurrance of double letters, but not any other ones. For instance, if the line is: Amp, James Watt, Bob Transformer, etc. These pioneers conducted many My code will render this: 19 Amp, James Wa(tt), Bob Transformer, etc. These pioneers conducted many The "19" is the count (of lines containing double letters) and it gets the "tt" of "Watt" but misses the "ee" in "pioneers". • R: building a simple command line plotting tool/Capturing window close events

  I am trying to use R within a script that will act as a simple command line plot tool. I.e. user pipes in a csv file and they get a plot. I can get to R fine and get the plot to display through various temp file machinations, but I have hit a roadblock. I cannot figure out how to get R to keep running until the users closes the window. If I plot and exit, the plot disappears immediately. If I plot and use some kind of infinite loop, the user cannot close the plot; he must exit by using an interrupt which I don't like. I see there is a getGraphicsEvent function, but it claims that the device is not supported (X11). Anyway, it doesn't appear to actually support an onClose event, only onMouseDown. Any ideas on how to solve this? edit: Thanks to Dirk for the advice to check out the tk interface. • Obtaining command line arguments in a QT application

  The following snippet is from a little app I wrote using the QT framework. The idea is that the app can be run in batch mode (i.e. called by a script) or can be run interactively. It is important therefore, that I am able to parse command line arguments in order to know which mode in which to run etc. [Edit] I am debugging using QTCreator 1.3.1 on Ubuntu Karmic. The arguments are passed in the normal way (i.e. by adding them via the 'Project' settings in the QTCreator IDE). When I run the app, it appears that the arguments are not being passed to the application.   HI, We are developing a multi-tenant application in Asp.Net with separate DB for each tenant, in which one of the requirement is to monitor the bandwidth usage for each tenant, i have tried to search but not found much help on the topic,we want to monitor exactly how much bandwidth is being used for each tenant while each tenant can have its own top level domain or a sub domain or a combination of both. so what are the available options, the ones which i can think of can be 1. IIS Log Monitoring means a separate application which will calculate the bandwidth for each tenant. 2. Log Each Request and Response for a tenant from within the application and then calculate the total bandwidth usage based on that. 3. Use some third part components if available So what do you think will be the best approach, also if there is any other way to do this.

• How do you handle multiple (overlapping) projects in trac?

  We are using trac and are really satisfied with it. However, out of the box, trac is best suited for single-project environments only. I'd be interested to hear about the various approaches people take to make it work with multiple projects nevertheless and their experiences with them. Are there any plugins to recommend? Any patches, tweaks or whatnots? Are you maybe even using an entirely different bug-tracking system that offers all of trac's functionality plus multi-project support? We recently started managing a second project ourselves which generally works okay but also has some drawbacks, especially where the two projects overlap because of common library code we wrote that is used in both projects. How do you handle this? (I'll attach our own current approach as an answer to this post.)

  on my tableview i have the last cell that is not initially visible as seen in the first image, when i scroll the list up, you can see in the second image that the price or my detailTextLabel is put on a new line not maintaining the right justification. • Microsoft Charting Histogram Zero With Line

  I am currently developing an application that uses chart control to create a histogram. The histogram displays data correctly however I would like to center the data. Right now the Min and Max are automatically set. I would like the graph to always force its to be displayed symmetrically. Here is an example of what I'm trying to accomplish. Basically I would like it to look like a normal distribution graph. Does anyone know how I can do the the following: Get the graph to be displayed symmetrically? Always show a zero line. • MSBuild command-line error - Silverlight 4 SDK is not installed

  My MSBuild command line is as follows: msbuild e:\code\myProject.csproj /p:Configuration=Debug /p:OutputPath=bin/Debug /p:Platform=x86 /p:PlatformTarget=x86 The project builds fine on my development machine in VS2010 but not with the command above. I am running Win 7 64 - Bit. I'm getting an error that says I don't have the Silverlight 4 SDK installed but I do. I"ve read some posts that you have to set the Platform=x86 but to no avail. • properly setting email subject line delivered from email form

  I have a email form for my website but here is the issue: when i receive an email, the subject line in my inbox shows whatever the user inputted as subject in the form. id like to override that so that whenever an email comes in. the subject in the email header is always "an inquiry from your website".
