How to Find more than one string with Excel with the graphical interface?
For example, I am looking for the cells which is contained both strings Paul and John?
I get:
"Resource id #8
Warning: mysql_fetch_array() expects parameter 1 to be resource, string given"
Heres the code:
$sql="SELECT password FROM user WHERE userid=$userid";
echo $password=mysql_query($sql);
while($row = mysql_fetch_array($password)) {
$password = $row['password'];
}

I want to capture the user part of this domain name through a request (lets say when the first time user hits the page).
Thanks.
How can I instantiate an anonymous object while passing the propertynames and values as string?
new With { .SomeProperty = "Value" }
new With { ".SomeProperty" = "Value" } //something like this? :)
Hi Guys,
a bit of a vague question but I am looking for pointers as to how can I generate String diff vectors in C++. The scenario is such that given a paragraph I want to store the various differences(Edit, cut copy paste etc.) it goes through in a draft mode to review Audit history.
Any hints in this regard will be really appreciated.
I have time from DB:
string user_time = "17:10:03"; //Hours:minutes:seconds
DateTime time_now = DateTime.Now;
How do I compare the time? How make same like this:
if(time_now > user_time)
{
//Do something
}
else
{
//Do something
}
I have the following serialized string from a nested sortable list:
ul[0][id]=main1&ul[0][children][0][id]=child2&ul[0][children][0][class]=&ul[1][id]=main3&ul[2][id]=main4&ul[3][id]=main5
I want to be able to record this in the database, and think I need a structure to do this. What's the best way to turn this into a structure, so I can sort it in the database, and easily render the list on the page in the future.
Thanks,B
Let's say I have this (assume the name variable is "receiver"):
if (!(receiver instanceof com.HTMLReceiver)) {
throw new com.IllegalArgumentException(
name + " is not an instance of com.HTMLReceiver.");
}
I'd like to factor this code out into a common method so I could call it like this:
Helper.checkInstance(receiver, "com.HTMLReceiver");
But I don't know of a way to convert the com.HTMLReceiver from a string to its actual type so I can use instanceof on it.
Is there a way?
HI,

I have a hex string(lenght 48 chars) i want to convert to raw bytes with the pack function in order to put in in win32 vector of bytes.
could someone help how i can do this with perl ?
I recently had an interview question that went something like this:
Given a large string (haystack), find a substring (needle)?
I was a little stumped to come up with a decent solution.
What is the best way to approach this that doesn't have a poor time complexity?
I have a string like this, stored in the database:
< %@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl" %
< %= Html.Encode("< strong hello< /strong ") %
How can I render this to the page?
I'm trying to get to grips with regular expressions:
I have a database connection string and I'd like to use a regular expression to identify specific Keys and Values within it.
For example
server=foo;database=bar;uid=foo;pwd=bar
I'd like something to return "database=bar;" using the 'database' key to identify it, ideally it would be case insensitive. I can do this using normal code, but I think that this is exactly the sort of thing for which regular expressions were designed.
Suppose I have a Dictionary like so:
Dictionary<string, Stream>
How can I get a list (or IEnumerable or whatever) of JUST the Keys from this dictionary? Is this possible?
I could enumerate the dictionary, and extract the keys one by one, but I was hoping to avoid this.
In my instance, the Dictionary contains a list of filenames (file1.doc, filex.bmp etc...) and the stream content of the file from another part of the application.
Hii,
I had a requirement of encode a string provided to a unreadable format and also have to decode after certain action performed. I have tried 'Base64' encoding. But this is not a secure way. I need some other solutions. Give some help regarding the above context.
I want to find a string such as "qwertty=" in a file with "awk" or "grep" but I don't want to see the lines with #. Please see the example
grep -ni "qwertty" /aaa/bbb
798:# * qwertty - enable/disable
1222:#qwertty=1
1223:qwertty=2
1224:#qwertty=3
I want to find the line 1223.
What should be the search query for this purpose?
If I have 5 String variables and between 0 and 5 of them are null or empty is there an easy/short way of returning the first one that is not null or empty? I am using .NET 3.5
My string contain a lot of HTML entities, like this
"Hello <everybody> there"
And I want to split it by HTML entities into this :
Hello
everybody
there
Can anybody suggest me a way to do this please? May be using Regex?
i am reading a csv file and i want to store this in datastore, but i am getting string from file for datetime field.
i want to type cast it to datetime
also same for date and time separately
error::BadValueError: Property HB_Create_Ship_Date must be a datetime
I have a asp:GridView with a HyperLinkField. It's DataNavigateUrlFormatString property is set to View.aspx?id={0}&isTechnical={1}
Select command of appropriate SqlDataSource returns columns of type INT and BYTE (from SQL Server 2008).
So displayed string becomes something like View.aspx?id=1&isTechnical=1. But I want to display isTechnical=true|False, i.e. Convert.ToBoolean(row["isTechnical"]).ToString().ToLowerInvariant().
How to implement such conversion in page markup?
Given a string containing jpeg image data, is it possible to load this directly in pygame?
I've tried using StringIO but failed and I don't completely understand the 'file-like' object concept.
Currently, as a workaround, I'm saving to disk and then loading an image the standard way:
# imagestring contains a jpeg
f=open('test.jpg','wb')
f.write(imagestring)
f.close()
image=pygame.image.load('test.jpg')
Any suggestions on improving this so that we avoid creating a temp file?
Dear Folks,
I am trying to sort string column (containing numbers).
// SELECT `name` FROM `mytable` ORDER BY `name` ASC
+----------+
+-- name --+
+----------+
+-- a 1 ---+
+-- a 12 --+
+-- a 2 ---+
+-- a 3 ---+
You see natural sorting algorithm of Mysql is placing a 12 after a 1 (which is ok for most apps), But I have unique needs, so I want result should be sorted like this.
+----------+
+-- name --+
+----------+
+-- a 1 ---+
+-- a 2 ---+
+-- a 3 ---+
+-- a 12 --+
Is it possible with just SQL, or I have to manipulate result-set at application level?
Thanks for reading...
I have a string like so:
option_alpha="value" option_beta="some other value" option_gamma="X" ...etc.
I'm using this to parse them into name & value pairs:
preg_match_all("/([a-z0-9_]+)\s*=\s*[\"\'](.+?)[\"\']/is", $var_string, $matches)
Which works fine, unless it encounters an empty attribute value:
option_alpha="value" option_beta="" option_gamma="X"
What have I done wrong in my regex?
