  • How to scroll text in Python/Curses subwindow?

    - by lecodesportif
In my Python script which uses Curses, I have a subwin to which some text is assigned. Because the text length may be longer than the window size, the text should be scrollable. It doesn't seem that there is any CSS-"overflow" like attribute for Curses windows. The Python/Curses docs are also rather cryptic on this aspect. Does anybody here have an idea how I can code a scrollable Curses subwindow using Python and actually scroll through it? \edit: more precise question

  • Deploy application to iPhone Simulator

    - by Craig Warren
Hi, I am looking for a way to deploy my application to another users simulator. To be blunt the person needs to show the application on the simulator and is not capable of compiling the source code and I don't have the time to produce the instructions. What I want to do is provide them with the .app (or another) file and have them install it in the simulator just like they can do with any real iPhone Device. Does anyone know how I can do this?

  • silverlight 3 listbox item highlight versus selected.

    - by cody
I have a listbox and am attempting to select and item in code. Sometime one item is highlighted, that is it is background is colored blue, but a different item has a square blue box around the it (no highlighting just an hollow outline of a box). Am I correct in saying one is "highlighted" and one is "selected" and do I have them correctly identified? Should this be happening... that is these 2 things being out of sync? Thanks Cody

  • OCaml: Matching with any negative

    - by nicotine
Is there a way to get pattern matching to match my value with any negative number? It does not matter what the negative number is I just need to match with any negative. I have accomplished what I want with this simple code: let y = if(n < 0) then 0 else n in match y with 0 -> [] | _ -> [x] @ clone x (n - 1) But I want to eliminate that if statement and just get it to check it as another case in the match statement

  • ANN for decompiler?

    - by Rhythmic Algorithm
Has there ever been any attempts at utilizing artificial neural networks in decompilation? It would be nice if it was possible to provide the trimmed semantics of source along with the code in to a neural network so it could learn the connection between the two. I assume this would likely lose it's effectiveness when there is optimizations and maybe work better for high level languages too but I'm interested in hearing any attempts anyone has had at this.

  • Script files returning 404 Error.

    - by Seth Duncan
Hi, I'm using ASP.Net and whenever I create a script file or try to include a script file like jQuery they aren't working. I am doing just a regular localhost server and none of the scripts are working. Upon further examination using firebug I look at whats being referenced in those scripts and it shows html code for a 404 error. I know the scripts and files are there and I can navigate directly to them in the browser but for some reason I can't reference them in my page. Here is a screenshot:

  • What do you use to keep notes as a developer?

    - by Mike Duncan
Where as a developer do like to you keep your code snippets, links, checklists, final solutions to problems etc? I've fooled with Google Notebook, MS Onenote, TreePad, textfiles, and Evernote a bit (currently leaning toward Evernote). All have pros and cons but none seem to be really suited to developers. Is anyone super-happy with a collection / note system that's not just generic GTD, but with developer-centric utility?

  • XCode missing inline test results

    - by Vegar
Everywhere there are pretty pictures of failing tests shown inline in the code editor, like in Peepcodes Objective-C for Rubyist screencast and in apples own technical documentation: When I build my test-target, all I get is a little red icon down in the right corner, stating something went wrong. When clicking on it, I get the Build Results, where I can start to hunt for test results. Do anyone have a clue on what´s wrong?

  • To detect if the user is closing the IE browser apart from onunload event, as it is triggerred when

    - by AndAars
hi, After being through numerous forums available on the net for last 5 days, I am still not able to completely track down the browser close event. My requirement is to generate a popup message, when user tries to close the browser. I have called my javascript function on body 'onbeforeunload' event. And I have hardcoded the conditions to check the mouse-coordinates for the red 'X' buton of browser, refresh, File-close or Alt-F4. My code works fine when browser window is Maximized, but fails if we shrink it after a limit. Please help me, if some body has already found the solution to a similar problem. Thank you. Aggregated Responses of OP Ok, just tell me if it is possible to detect if a user has clicked on the Refresh button of the browser. Also, Refresh can be triggered by Right-click - Refresh or Ctrl-R. My requirement is to make a variable false on Refresh. I am just able to do it on F5, but all other ways are still out of my reach. The same would be applied to Back buton. Hi ppl, Thanks for all who replied atleast. I have talked to my seniors regarding this and they have now understood and have compromised with the browser menu buttons. So now my task has become easy. Now, I am using a variable and making it true by default. As, I mentioned earlier I just have to catch the onbeforeunload and popup a message when user tries to leave. The message will not popup when user is navigating to other pages, as I have made the variable as false on all the links of my page using following piece of code: document.onclick = function() { //To check if user is navigating from the page by clicking on a hyperlink. if (event.srcElement.tagName == 'A') blnShowMsg = false; //To not popup the warning message else blnShowMsg = true; //To popup the warning message } In my case still the message is shown when user does Refresh, back or goes to any link in Favorites, etc. Thanks buddy, but I have already gone through that and didn't find much help there too. My seniors are not happy with that solution as putting a flag on evry link of my application is a complicated job and they fear of breaking the application. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks once again. Is there no one who can think of a solution here!!! where are all the experts???

  • [VIM] How to restrict operations to certain lines?

How would I visually know if I'm within that block or outside it? Looking and line numbers seems awkward, specially that the line numbers I need to work with are generally 5 digits long!
