• Word Spell Check pops up hidden and "freezes" my App

  I am using Word's Spell Check in my in house WinForm app. My clients are all XP machines with Office 2007 and randomly the spell check suggestion box pops up behind the App and makes everything "appear" frozen as you cannot get at it. Suggestions? What do other people do to work around this or stop it altogether? • C# WinForms ErrorProvider Control

  Hi Does anyone know if there is a way to get a list of controls that have the ErrorProvider icon active. ie. any controls that failed validation. I'm trying to avoid looping all controls in the form. I'd like to display some sort of message indicating how many errors there are on the form. As my form contains tabs I'm trying to make it apparent to the user that errors may exist on inactive tabs and they need to check all tabs. Thanks Barry

  Hi, I get this error when I define my attached dependency properties in a class outside the class hierarchy and set the owner to a common parent class. Attached dependency property in WindowBase class (outside class hierarchy = generated error): public static readonly DependencyProperty AreaColorProperty = DependencyProperty.RegisterAttached("AreaColor", typeof(AreaColor), typeof(Window)); TemplateBinding that fails {TemplateBinding local:WindowBase.AreaColor} If I instead define the attached dependency property in a class within the class heirarchy and set the owner to this class, then I don't get any errors, why is this? • MXMLC Ant task results in java.lang.OutOFMemoryError

  I'm making a change to a set of code for a Flex project that I didn't write and was set up to compile using ant tasks. I assume that the codebase was stable at the last checkin but I'm running into memory issues when trying to build a project using MXMLC and ant (see stack trace below). Before, I was just getting an out of memory error. I tried using a different machine and got this more verbose exception (including problems with the image fetcher). I've tried using various versions of the SDK, I've tried replacing the <mxmlc> tag with <exec executable="mxmlc"> with no luck.   i had a previously working configuration with the config files used in a previous question However, i've changed this now to the following configuration using server mode, everything on the logs seem fine, however the client doesn't create any tun interface, so i don't have anything to connect to, presumably, i need to add or push some route commands, but i don't have any idea at this point what i need to do.   I'm trying to implement Sun Tutorials RMI application that calculates Pi. I'm having some serious problems and I cant find the solution eventhough I've been searching the entire web and several javaskilled people. I'm hoping you can put an end to my frustrations. The crazy thing is that I can run the application from the cmd on my desktop computer. Trying the exact same thing with the exact same code in the exact same directories on my laptop produces the following errors. The problem occures when I try to connect the client to the server.   We're using xVal and the standard DataAnnotationsValidationRunner described here to collect validation errors from our domain objects and view models in ASP.NET MVC. I'd like to have a way to have that validation runner identify when two properties don't match through the use of custom DataAnnotations. Right now I'm forced into doing it outside of the runner, this way: if (!(model.FieldOne == model.FieldTwo)) errors.Add(new ErrorInfo("FieldTwo", "FieldOne must match FieldTwo", model.FieldTwo)); My question is: can this be done using property-level validation attributes, or am I forced into using class-level attributes (in which case, I'd have to modify the runner...and my follow up question would be how best to retrieve them in that case). • CUDA: How to reuse kernels in multiple files (for unit testing)

  How can I go about reusing the same kernel without getting fatal linking errors due to defining the symbol multiple times In Visual Studio I get "fatal error LNK1169: one or more multiply defined symbols found" My current structure is as follows: Interface.h has an extern interface to a C function: myCfunction() (ala the C++ integration SDK example) Kernel.cu contains the actual __global__ kernels and is NOT included in the build: __global__ my_kernel() Wrapper.cu inlcudes Kernel.cu and Interface.h and calls my_kernel<<<...>>> This all works fine. But if I add another C function in another file which also includes Kernel.cu and uses those kernels, I get the errors. So how can I reuse the kernels in Kernel.cu among many C functions in different files. The purpose of this by the way is unit testing, and integrating my kernels with CPP unit, if there is no way to reuse kernels (there must be!) then other suggestions for unit testing kernels within my existing CPP unit framework would be appreciate.   UPDATE (3/8/2010) I installed Xdebug and have it tracing my code. I have installed everything the same way on a local server and it works fine. To say I am at a complete loss would be putting it lightly. *NOTE: I ran make test and it returned FAIL on every test. I never ran this on my working machine to see if it reports the same errors. Any idea why make test would report FAIL but make doesn't report any error? I've installed the Oracle Instantclient with no reported errors along with the OCI8 PECL package and at a loss. Whenever I try to open a connection with oci_connect, it halts my entire PHP script. EXAMPLE: <?php ini_set ("display_errors", "1"); error_reporting(E_ALL); echo "before"; $conn = oci_connect("username", "password", "host"); echo "after"; ?> Returns a complete blank page.   Is anyone successfully using the CJ web services? I just keep getting java.lang.NullPointerExceptions even though my app is .net (clearly their errors). CJ support doesn't even know what a web service is. I googled and found many people getting this or other errors. Question is: is it a temporary problem or am I doomed to parse manually downloaded reports for eternity? The specific API I'm trying to use is the daily publisher commission service. • webbrowser disable script debugging in Visual Basic 6

  Hi, I want to disable script errors from popping up in a VB6 application. (I have VB6 installed on this machine). Currently, if I navigate to a particular page, it pops up saying "INternet Explorer Script Error: An error has ocurred in the script on this page" ... "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?" Setting the webbrowser1.silent to 'true' does not work. Instead all that happens, is instead of displaying an error message, it starts up the actual 'script' debugger, and then exits the program. On a machine without the (visual studio) debugger, it still pops up a message asking to use the debugger, i.e., on Vista, (when silent is set to true). Manually changing the 'disable script debugging (other)' (and regular one), doesn't seem to working in MSIE (also testing version 6.0 for xp users). How do I disable script errors?   I am trying to get the Highlighter class from Lucene to work properly with tokens coming from Solr's WordDelimiterFilter. It works 90% of the time, but if the matching text contains a ',' such as "1,500" the output is incorrect: Expected: 'test 1,500 this' Observed: 'test 11,500 this' I am not currently sure whether it is Highlighter messing up the recombination or WordDelimiterFilter messing up the tokenization but something is unhappy.   I'm getting the following errors from MSBuild while trying to build a solution: C:\dev\MySln.sln : warning MSB3422: Failed to retrieve VC project information through the VC project engine object model. Unable to determine default tool for the specified file configuration. C:\dev\MySln.sln : warning MSB3425: Could not resolve VC project reference "C:\dev\MyProj.vcproj". Have you got any ideas on what's causing this? I've seen other postings about similar, but different errors such as when the MSB3422 error has a different message and shows "Illegal characters in path.", but I haven't seen any useful information about how to solve the error I'm getting where it says "Unable to determine default tool for the specified file configuration.". • Cannot login with PhpMyAdmin on Mac os x 10.6. Does anyone know a fix to this error message?

  Hi, I just reinstalled Mac Os X 10.6.2 and had to reinstall/update my MySQL server. I run phpMyAdmin inside my localhost and I used to be able to login without a hitch. Since the updated (latest version MySQL 5.1.45 & PMA 3.3.1) versions I only get the following error when trying to login with phpMyAdmin: phpMyAdmin - Error Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly. The only thing I noticed is that mcrypt cannot be loaded (this has always been the case, no idea what to do to install this..) but this has never been a problem before. If anyone know what to do here that would be really appreciated. • What is "Virtual Size" in sysinternals process explorer

  Hi My application runs for few hours, There is no increase in any value ( vmsize, memory) of Task Manager. But after few hours i get out of memory errors. In sysinternals i see that "Virtual Size" is contineously increasing, and when it reach around 2 GB i start getting memory errors. So what kind of memory leak is that ? How can i demonstrate it with a code ? Is it possible to reproduce same thing with any piece of code where none of the memory value increase but only the Virtual Size in sysinternsl process explorer increase ? thanks for any suggestions
