  • How to add separator between items in a Spark List control

    I have a s:List where I've defined my own itemRenderer, and would like to insert a horizontal line separating items, similar to the way the mx:LinkBar works. I don't want to have a line at the top or bottom of the list, so I can't just include an upper or lower border in the itemRenderer. I was hoping the itemRenderer could be made aware of its index in the list, but I don't see how. Is there a way to do this?

    I have to create a 2d array with unknown size. So I have decided to go with a 2d ArrayList the problem is I'm not sure how to initialize such an array or store information. Say I have the following data 0 connects 1 2 connects 3 4 connects 5 ....etc up to a vast amount of random connections and I want to insert true(1) into [0][1], true(1) into [2][3], true(1) into [4][5]. I know how to create a partitioned table or alter an already existing partitioned table, but can I add partitions to a table after it has been created, has data in it, without losing the data? The other option is to dump all the data, recreate the table with the partitions and then insert it all back it. Is that the only way? Thanks.

    I have a table (EmployeeID,EmployeeName,ManagerID) How can I create a sqldatasource to include the ManagerName from the EmployeeName given EmployeeID = ManagerID? In my gridview after dragging a dropdownlist what bindings should I do to display the managerName? Is it possible to use it without writing custom select,insert,delete,update?     I'm using Python to read and write SAS datasets, using pyodbc and the SAS ODBC drivers. I can load the data perfectly well, but when I save the data, using something like: cursor.execute('insert into dataset.test VALUES (?)', u'testing') ... I get a pyodbc.Error: ('HY004', '[HY004] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] SQL data type out of range (0) (SQLBindParameter)') error. The problem seems to be the fact I'm passing a unicode string; what do I need to do to handle this?

I have seen one response to a similar question : http://topsecretproject.finitestatemachine.com/2010/02/how-to-custom-tags-with-tinymce/ but this doesn't work - they tags are not stripped out but they are not styled either??

    I have the following query (all tables are innoDB) INSERT INTO busy_machines(machine) SELECT machine FROM all_machines WHERE machine NOT IN (SELECT machine FROM busy_machines) and machine_name!='Main' LIMIT 1 Which causes a deadlock when I run it in threads, obviously because of the inner select, right? The error I get is: (1213, 'Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction') How can I avoid the deadlock? Is there a way to change to query to make it work, or do I need to do something else?

    Hello, I have managed to load in an image using: BufferedImage image = ImageIO.read(out); and place text over it however, I want the text to appear next to the image. How can I increase the image width on the right to allow for space for the text to be drawn on. Or do I have to create a new empty image and insert the existing one? Thanks

    I have customer and address tables. query: select * from addresses a, customers b where a.id = b.id returns 474 records For these records, I'd like to add the id of customer table into cid of address table. Example: If for the first record the id of customer is 9 and id of address is also 9 then i'd like to insert 9 into cid column of address table. I tried: update addresses a, customers b set a.cid = b.id where a.id = b.id but this does not seem to work.
