If you create a blank form in access 2007, is there a way to apply a style to that form. So that the blank form can then have the same style as the other already created forms
thanks
I'd like to fill System.Windows.Forms.ListView with the items I've stored in a separate System.Collections.Generics.List<. I would like to avoid to store the data twice, once in the List< and once as a string in ListViewItem. Is there a way to make ListViewItem use some callback function to obtain the text to put in its columns from the Tag property, instead of using its Text property?
Why do I get a 400 - bad request error using the following URL? It is encoded using Server.UrlEncode. The actual path query parameter is C:\Development\Chase\Exports\ChaseExport-090312073930.zip
http://localhost:50199/Common/Forms/Export_Stream.aspx%3fpath%3dC%3a%5CDevelopment%5CChase%5CExports%5CChaseExport-090312073930.zip
q1) what is difference between mvc1 and mvc2 ?
q2) everything that is in mvc1 is in mvc2?I am asking this question because there is a debate in my place of work as we can find many resources and ebooks on mvc1 not mvc2 so we should use mvc1 in our portal.
q3) same ajax functionality can be implemented in web forms as well as in mvc or mvc2. or there is some limition in mvc?
I want to make preview button as usual form button next to submit button(as it made in most cases of "Post new topic" forms). How can I programmatically simulate toolbar's preview button click ?
I tried $('#article_body_preview').click() but it didn't work. (I use jQuery lib and #article_body_preview is toolbar's preview button element )
Can I use wget to populate some forms in a web app if the web app requires a user to login? I'm trying to use wget in a script to send some data to a web app, but it appears the web app rejects the attempts because I am not logged in.
I currently have a class file with the following enumerator:
using System;
namespace Helper
{
public enum ProcessType
{
Word = 0,
Adobe = 1,
}
}
Or should I include the enumerator in the class where it's being used?
I noticed Microsoft creates a new class file for DockStyle:
using System;
using System.ComponentModel;
using System.Drawing.Design;
namespace System.Windows.Forms
{
public enum DockStyle
{
None = 0,
Top = 1,
Bottom = 2,
Left = 3,
Right = 4,.
Fill = 5,
}
}
I need to build an application that accepts user input data (such as name, address, amount, etc.) and then merges it with a pre-loaded document template (order form) and then prints this merged document. I can use Windows Forms or WPF for this project.
Any suggestions on how best to approach this? I'm experienced with Winforms development, but don't have any idea how to handle merging the data to the document for printing.
I created a base form that has a specific size and an icon as a base for all forms created in my project (to be consistent in looks). The problem is, for some reason if I add a Text box to the Child form, I can no longer execute shortcuts like Copy (CTRL+C) etc into the Textbox.
What should I do to handle this OTHER THAN writing code to capture those on the KeyUp control?
This is also the case for RichTextBox control as well.
Thanks
there is a form where a user enters a date in [Text4]
when users clicks OK, the following code is run:
DoCmd.OpenReport "All_Ones", acViewPreview
the following is the control source of a textbox on the report
[Forms]![By Number]![Text4]
for some reason after the report is open, it just sayd #?nameor something like that, meaning that it is an invalid parameter.

How can I produce a similar output in C# window forms in the easiest way?
Each individual points should be "editable" by pressing some keys to increment or decrement and navigate trough it with arrow keys.
Is there a good library for this purpose?
Since attributes don't inherit in C# (at least I didn't think they did) - how does the following code still display the Hello popup when the MyTestMethod test is run:
[TestClass]
public class BaseTestClass {
[TestInitialize]
public void Foo() {
System.Windows.Forms.MessageBox.Show("Hello");
}
}
[TestClass]
public class TestClass : BaseTestClass {
[TestMethod]
public void MyTestMethod() {
Assert.IsTrue(true);
}
}
In one of my forms I use the rich text editor from Yahoo!.
Now i want to store the data from that textarea in a MySQL database.
The user can enter anything in that textarea, e.g. many double or single quotes.
How can I store that data?
Normally we store by adding that data in one variable and then put that in sql, but the quotes cause problems.
I'm making a small Windows Forms application that contains a lot of grid views. I want all the grid views to resize with the window. I could make a function that detects window resize and then changes the size of each grid view but that feels a bit clunky. Is there not an easier/more intelligent way to do this
Is it possible to use a subform's 'current' record set as the domain argument to DAvg() (etc.)?
Basically, I have a subform that displays a subset of records from a query. I would like to run DAvg() over this subset. This is how I've gotten around it:
=DAvg([FieldToAvg], [SubformQuery], "ChildField=Forms.MasterForm.MasterField And FieldToAvg > 0")
but what I actually want is something like:
=DAvg([FieldToAvg], [SubformCurrentlyDisplayedData], "FieldToAvg > 0")
Is this possible in Access 2007?
What artifacts / diagrams do use to document the flow of a web application taking into account links between static pages and how dynamic view components (html forms, JSP, Ajax, etc) interact with server-side components (Servlets, Struts actions, etc)? Do use UML diagrams?
Is there any way to remove certain assemblies or namespaces from the index of (or entirely from) the Visual Studio 2005 Documentation? System.Web.UI and System.Windows.Forms contain many identical class names and I'd like to eliminate those in System.Web.UI that are irrelevant to me.
I have a TreeView control in a Windows Forms application that is displaying my own subclass of TreeNode. I need to display a number along with each node's text indicating its position in the tree, like 1 for the root, 1.1 for its first child, 1.2 for its second child, etc. I'm using C# with .NET 2.0
The best that I can come up with is, after the tree is built, go to each node, recursively find the parent and append the parent's sibling number to the front of the node's text until you reach the root.
Hi,
I have an assembly containing a number of classes. This is a class library type assembly, not a windows forms application. It's also single threaded.
Is there a way to catch all un-handled exceptions so that I can log them?
Looking for a variety of Windows Form (winforms) tutorials for visual studio.NET C++
I found a few basic ones:
How to: Create a Windows Forms Application
Walkthrough: Retrieving Dialog Box Information Collectively Using Objects
Any others?
Thank You.

i have seen many sites who claim to have bank grade security encription. if their web sites have been built with php what other forms of security can exist aside from using mysql_real_escape_string and a 128bit ssl encription?
I use cnPack Uses cleaner, but in general which are the downsides of having useless units?
I know some of them:
1) of course if the unit is never used across the full project there will be useless resource consuption
2) the code insight will give useless results
3) the code insight will be slower
But imagine a simple case:
I have a project with 2 forms, I use StrUtils in one of them but I declared StrUtils in both of them... Is there any downside in temrs of memory consumption in this case or not?
