    I am wanting to loop through this list of name value pairs and grab them in groups of 4. The data would be like: value1 1 value2 1 value3 1 value4 1 value1 2 value2 2 value3 2 value4 2 and it would group it as 1 list that contains value1 1 value2 1 value3 1 value4 1 and another list that contains value1 2 value2 2 value3 2 value4 2 I know this can be done easily with a for loop, but I am wondering if there is a good way to do it with LINQ.

  • using std::freopen to redirect stderr c++

    So I want to redirect all stderr to a file, which is also being used by my logger for the entire time the application (game) is running. The follow redirect it away from the console, but it never appears in my file, and using fclose after the game loop is over doesnt actually do anything, where it would normally would. freopen(Logger::logFile.c_str(),"a",stderr); Any help would be great on how to get stderr to output to the text file, in a game loop.

  • Apache outputs all urls of a second domain as a subfolder of the primary domain name

    Hi all, would anyone be able to possibly give me some guidance.. Basically, i have a 'shared hosting' account with a large internet hosting provider, and my account lets me have multiple seperate domains within this folder structure.(note: not aliased domains and not sub domains). so, my goal is to have 2 domains set up. i have already purchased the two domain names i need: The first domain is the 'primary' domain name for the root folder(eg. www.example1.com) and the second domain name is set for one of its sub folders(eg. www.example2.com is set to the folder www.example1.com/sites/music). The problem is that when apache returns a page of the second domain back to the browser, apache writes the hyperlinks as if it's a sub folder of the first domain ( eg. www.example2.com/index.html. comes out as http://www.example1.com/sites/music/index.html). Now, I have done some reading on this, looking though "Apache: the definitive guide"(o'reilly), and although it was useful, couldn't really find the answer. i'm guessing this issue is most likely an apache setup issue in http.conf, rather than an issue with the hosting company itself (which is why im posting it here) and I have also been to the official documentation for apache site, and i am guessing i might need to use something like the rewritebase directive in htaccess files.. but im really not sure, im more of a java programmer guy, and have been struggling with this for a couple of days. Any guidance would be REALLY appreciated. If it helps, my hosting company is godaddy, and my sites are hosted on linux. My problem was originally with wordpress which i reinstalled a number of times in various ways to correct the problem, but ive just done a test with a very simple static html, and it still has the same issue with relative urls like this: <html> <head></head><body><a href="images/dog.html">Pictures of Dogs</a></body> </html> However, it is fine if i hardcode the urls like this: <html> <head></head><body><a href="http://www.example2.com/images/dog.html">Pictures of Dogs</a></body> </html> Thanks heaps, Steve R NOW FIXED Ok, the problem has now been fixed, and i didn't need to modify any .conf or .htaccess files. The problem was, that when I went to install the second application into a second domain from the godaddy site, one of the setup questions is that it asks you which site you want it installed to. after that it asks for the desired folder path. However, the problem was that the second domain name was already pointing to the correct subfolder of the primary domain. So when I started installing wordpress again and came to the menu to select which site it was for, and it listed only the primary domain as an option, i assumed that this was like a label of "which hosting account?", or "which primary domain will your application will be installed under?" because I already knew that in the next step i was specifiying the folder. In order to correct this, you must make sure that your second domain is added to your domain list so that it will be listed as an option during the installation process.   • Lustre - issues with simple setup

    Issue: I'm trying to assess the (possible) use of Lustre for our group. To this end I've been trying to create a simple system to explore the nuances. I can't seem to get past the 'llmount.sh' test with any degree of success. What I've done: Each system (throwaway PCs with 70Gb HD, 2Gb RAM) is formatted with CentOS 6.2. I then update everything and install the Lustre kernel from downloads.whamcloud.com and add on the various (appropriate) lustre and e2fs RPM files. Systems are rebooted and tested with 'llmount.sh' (and then cleared with 'llmountcleanup.sh'). All is well to this point. First I create an MDS/MDT system via: /usr/sbin/mkfs.lustre --mgs --mdt --fsname=lustre --device-size=200000 --param sys.timeout=20 --mountfsoptions=errors=remount-ro,user_xattr,acl --param lov.stripesize=1048576 --param lov.stripecount=0 --param mdt.identity_upcall=/usr/sbin/l_getidentity --backfstype ldiskfs --reformat /tmp/lustre-mdt1 and then mkdir -p /mnt/mds1 mount -t lustre -o loop,user_xattr,acl /tmp/lustre-mdt1 /mnt/mds1 Next I take 3 systems and create a 2Gb loop mount via: /usr/sbin/mkfs.lustre --ost --fsname=lustre --device-size=200000 --param sys.timeout=20 --mgsnode=lustre_MDS0@tcp --backfstype ldiskfs --reformat /tmp/lustre-ost1 mkdir -p /mnt/ost1 mount -t lustre -o loop /tmp/lustre-ost1 /mnt/ost1 The logs on the MDT box show the OSS boxes connecting up. All appears ok. Last I create a client and attach to the MDT box: mkdir -p /mnt/lustre mount -t lustre -o user_xattr,acl,flock luster_MDS0@tcp:/lustre /mnt/lustre Again, the log on the MDT box shows the client connection. Appears to be successful. Here's where the issues (appear to) start. If I do a 'df -h' on the client it hangs after showing the system drives. If I attempt to create files (via 'dd') on the lustre mount the session hangs and the job can't be killed. Rebooting the client is the only solution. If I do a 'lctl dl' from the client it shows that only 2/3 OST boxes are found and 'UP'. There are no errors on the MDS/MDT box to indicate that multiple OSS/OST boxes have been lost. EDIT: each system has all other systems defined in /etc/hosts and entries in iptables to provide access. SO: I'm clearly making several mistakes. Any pointers as to where to start correcting them?

    I am trying to add a second virtual host to nginx. When i go to the new domain it redirects to the old one. I have tried restarting Nginx, rebooting the server. Has anyone come across this before, care to share?   • Weird Apache Access Logs

    I see repeated requests like these in my Apache Access Logs and they have been eating up all my CPU. I have a normal WordPress installation. All i changed in the Apache Configuration was changing the DocumentRoot from /var/www/html to /var/www for both ssl and the default configuration. Also, the file referenced in the requests(updatedll.jpeg) does not exist on my server and also isn't referenced in the source code served by any page of the web application. Could this be a security threat? What are these actually and what can i do to stop them. I changed the ip address of my server. They still kept coming. Meaning that somebody is actually hitting the domain name and not the ip address. Why does my server send a 301 for these requests? Shouldn't it be sending a 404? Is it because Wordpress is installed in my root directory and the .htaccess file present for Wordpress is sending a 301 redirect? My disk access logs also seem to have high peaks intermittently. But nobody is actually accessing the site. I see no access logs except these below.   • Getting sendmail to install/work for using php mail()

    I'm running WordPress on a Ubuntu VPS. When WordPress tries to send an email like a password reset or registration email it never gets delivered. WordPress uses php's mail() function. I figure it's not working as my VPS didn't have sendmail installed. So I went into SSH and installed it with sudo apt-get install sendmail which appeared to succeed. Following more googled advice I edited the php.ini file to have the sendmail path. I located it as being /usr/sbin/sendmail which I believe is typical for many *nix servers. To check I browsed to this directory on FTP. The "sendmail" directory appears to be a shortcut. Is this correct/expected? Either way the php mail function is not working. I have created a phpinfo file and a test mail php file which contains just a mail() function with my email as the recipient. Note: my VPS doesn't yet have a domain, just an IP address.     I'm not a webmaster, not even a web developer, but I'm tasked with adding content to a Wordpress site developed by Someone Else(TM). Here's a page illustrating the problem: http://www.reginedagan.no/program/fiskekonkurranse-i-hovden/. It shows up nice in Firefox: But in IE9 the floated picture pushed down the text in the table below, so that it looks rather awful: I found some related questions on the web, e.g. "CSS: Float right in IE doesn't work!" and "why does a floating DIV mess up table positioning?", and the suggestions there led me to set clear: none on the div around the table, the table itself, and then each individual tr and finally even on each individual td. I also set width="99%" on the table, and tried (but I don't know how correctly) to apply the IE6 quirk fix margin-right: -3px. However, I'm unable to reproduce the effect with default styling or with clear: none (as above). So it seems maybe it's something Wordpress does, or maybe it's something the theme thing or whatever it is does – but it's very similar to what others have observed, so there is strong indication that it's also a quirk in IE. Help?

  • pingback / trackback support for photo sharing?

    Is there a photo sharing service, such as flickr or picasa, that will collect urls of the locations where the photo has been posted on other blogs (or mentioned in tweets, etc?) This could be accomplished by posting each photo as a blog entry on a site like wordpress, which would then automatically handle pingbacks, but of course a blog doesn't perform quite like a proper photo service. Perhaps this could be done with a private photo hosting server like zenphoto by editing the php, but that seems rather involved. Does such a service already exist?

    Hello! I have an old machine, and I want to use for that to learn employees how to use Ubuntu, and to be easyer to switch from Windows. I've been installed 10.04, and updated, but this strange stuff is happend. Graphical installion failed, same strange thing. With alternate workd. Sometimes, when I boot up, a boot message displayed: Keyboard failure..., often diplayed after reboot, and after shutdown, when I haven't plugged off from AC. I replaced the keyboard yet, same failure... If I powered off, and plugged off from AC, no keyboard problems displayed in boot time. Details Configuration: Dell OptiPlex GX60 - in original cover, no changes. 256 MB DDR 166 MHz Intel® Celeron® Processor 2.40 GHz Dell 0C3207 Base Board I know, that is not enough, but I have three other Nec compuers, with nearly similar config, and they works well with 9.10, 10.04, 10.10. Live CDs I've been tried with 10.04 and 10.10, but the problem is displayed too. With 9.10 no strange things displayed, but it froze, during a simple apt-get install.     Hello Everybody, I am suppose to "write a Java program that reads a positive integer n from standard input, then prints out the first n prime number." It's divided into 3 parts. 1st: This function will return true or false according to whether m is prime or composite. The array argument P will contain a sufficient number of primes to do the testing. Specifically, at the time isPrime() is called, array P must contain (at least) all primes p in the range 2 p m . For instance, to test m = 53 for primality, one must do successive trial divisions by 2, 3, 5, and 7. We go no further since 11 53 . Thus a precondition for the function call isPrime(53, P) is that P[0] = 2 , P[1] = 3 , P[2] = 5, and P[3] = 7 . The return value in this case would be true since all these divisions fail. Similarly to test m =143 , one must do trial divisions by 2, 3, 5, 7, and 11 (since 13 143 ). The precondition for the function call isPrime(143, P) is therefore P[0] = 2 , P[1] = 3 , P[2] = 5, P[3] = 7 , and P[4] =11. The return value in this case would be false since 11 divides 143. Function isPrime() should contain a loop that steps through array P, doing trial divisions. This loop should terminate when 2 either a trial division succeeds, in which case false is returned, or until the next prime in P is greater than m , in which case true is returned. Then there is the "main function" • Check that the user supplied exactly one command line argument which can be interpreted as a positive integer n. If the command line argument is not a single positive integer, your program will print a usage message as specified in the examples below, then exit. • Allocate array Primes[] of length n and initialize Primes[0] = 2 . • Enter a loop which will discover subsequent primes and store them as Primes[1] , Primes[2], Primes[3] , ……, Primes[n -1] . This loop should contain an inner loop which walks through successive integers and tests them for primality by calling function isPrime() with appropriate arguments. • Print the contents of array Primes[] to stdout, 10 to a line separated by single spaces. In other words Primes[0] through Primes[9] will go on line 1, Primes[10] though Primes[19] will go on line 2, and so on. Note that if n is not a multiple of 10, then the last line of output will contain fewer than 10 primes. The last function is called "usage" which I am not sure how to execute this! Your program will include a function called Usage() having signature static void Usage() that prints this message to stderr, then exits. Thus your program will contain three functions in all: main(), isPrime(), and Usage(). Each should be preceded by a comment block giving it’s name, a short description of it’s operation, and any necessary preconditions (such as those for isPrime().)     Need some advice :) a) Facts: 1. Currently, we have a blog www.thebigbigsky.net hosted on blogspot.com. The site has been up for around a year and google had cached some of the posts. 2. The idea for setting up the blog was to promote/share articles/write-up about personal development and self-growth, and also to offer counseling services related to them. 3. There is another subdomain - chinese.thebigbigsky.net hosting similar blog posts but in Chinese. This is hosted on blogspot as well. b) What we want to do: 1. We did some research on the internet and understood that, to make a website more popular, it is better to have a domain name that is related to the content of the site. Hence, in our case, a domain name containing "personal development" would be more ideal and easier for people to remember. 2. Hence, we are thinking to move away from blogspot to a meaningful new domain (example: personaldevelopmentwithxyz.com) and move all contents there. Is the domain personaldevelopmentwithxyz.com considered too long? (For SEO etc) 3. Steps c.4 and c.5 above - Will this work for our case? 4. How about the subdomain - chinese.thebigbigsky.net? We would like keep it as separate blog with the domain e.g. chinese.personaldevelopmentwithxyz.com 5. We added "facebook comments" to the existing post on www.thebigtbigsky.net and would not want to lose it. Will the comments still be there after we moved to the new domain? 6.
